The incident, infuriating —
A festive Christmas market in Eastern Germany erupted into chaos after a car was driven into a group of people in the city of Magdeburg on Friday in a suspected terrorist attack.
Between 60 and 80 people have been injured, according to a spokesperson for the local rescue service, as reported by AFP as officials continue to investigate the incident.
Several of the injured are said to be in critical condition, and multiple reports citing the German public broadcaster MDR, said at least two people had been killed, one of the two reportedly a child.
And who was the driver?
According to Saxony-Anhalt state Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff the suspect has been interrogated by police. The man, who is reportedly from Saudi Arabia, is a 50 year old doctor who lived in the nearby town of Bernburg. According to Saxony-Anhalt’s Interior Minister Tamara Zieschang, he had been granted an indefinite residence permit.
I believe it’s safe to say this wasn’t an attack from a Berserker Baptist or Crazed Catholic. Hmmmmm … what could it be?
But, you know, the German police have other priorities that occupy so much of their time.
Turns out that the German police valiantly confiscating a Swiss Army knife from an elderly woman at Christmas markets did nothing to protect Germans attending Christmas markets from actual terrorists.

How easily did the German government forget what happened in 2016?
On 19 December 2016, a truck was deliberately driven into the Christmas market next to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church at Breitscheidplatz in Berlin, leaving 12 people dead and 56 others injured. One of the victims was the truck’s original driver, Łukasz Urban, who was found shot dead in the passenger seat. The truck was eventually stopped by its automatic brakes.[3] The perpetrator was Anis Amri, an unsuccessful asylum seeker from Tunisia. Four days after the attack, he was killed in a shootout with police near Milan in Italy.
Maybe the massive immigration of Muslims — coupled with a failure to assimilate them into Western culture — into the EU, and Germany in particular, was not a good idea.
And never let it be said that America’s own Left Legacy media would ever miss an opportunity to blame the “rightwing”.

It’s obviously safer to interrogate a little old lady than a street thug possibly armed with a log-bladed knife. I used to carry a folding Buck knife on my belt all the time on the farm and when I went to town. Nowadays I only wear the knife in and around town when I’m obviously in ‘farmer’ mode, i.e. towing a trailer full of calves to market or similar and can justify carrying it as a necessary tool. There are so many young thugs in my state [Victoria] wielding machetes or even long swords as they commit major crimes, often home invasions that I understand why Police are being very strict, but some discretion is also needed by them.
