Tinkerbell is “problematic”. I know there are A LOT more pressing matters threatening our Big Blue Marble. In a nutshell, OUR government is screwing us over by every possible method, every global power is trying to kill us and the HamaNazis on campus are dictating terms. I know, but there is just something about the Disney hatred of norms and values that ruffles my feathers. Because the petite, pretty pixie has issues, Disney parks have removed the meet and greet places. Figures.

Y’all remember Tinkerbell the sidekick/agent provocateur of Peter Pan, the perma-preteen leader of the Lost Boys on the island of Neverland. If you want to get all pissy about “problematic”, I would think that a boy who can’t love because he can’t grow up would fill the bill. J.M. Barrie, who created the world of Peter Pan, wrote about Tinkerbell as:

Barrie described Tinker Bell as a fairy who mended pots and kettles, an actual tinker of the fairy folk.[1] Her speech consists of the sounds of a tinkling bell, which is understandable only to those familiar with the language of the fairies.

Though sometimes ill-tempered, jealous, vindictive and inquisitive, she is also helpful and kind to Peter.[2] The extremes in her personality are explained in the story by the fact that a fairy’s size prevents her from holding more than one feeling at a time, so when she is angry she has no counterbalancing compassion. At the end of the novel, when Peter flies back to find an older Wendy, it is mentioned that Tinker Bell died in the year after Wendy and her brothers left Neverland, and Peter no longer remembers her.

In other words, the mite is miffed because she is minute. Or, if Tink is happy it’s because the tyke is tickled because she is tiny. Only one emotion at a time. The Disney’s Stories Matters “brownshirts” are the ones who found the pixie problematic:

The move from Disney comes after it confirmed her disappearance from meet-and-greets at the resort in February.

“Disney character ‘meet and greets’ do change in the Disney Parks,” wrote a planDisney representative in response to a question about Tinker Bell’s disappearance. “It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on the Walt Disney World Resort website for character updates”

Tinker Bell has reportedly faced scrutiny from Disney’s Stories Matter team ahead of the debut of Disney+ in 2019. The team reportedly flagged and labeled the character to Disney executives as “potentially problematic,” claiming that she is “body conscious” and “jealous of Peter Pan’s attention,” according to a 2022 report from The New York Times.

Argh, apparently I was Tinkerbell when I was twelve.

It’s not just Tinkerbell, either. Look out Ursala and Captain Hook:

Captain Hook as a disabled villain is bad, but chasing a pre-pubescent boy is just super-groovy.

As our own Darleen wrote two years ago, the Mouse is a Predator. It’s not just the woke. It’s the mirthless world.

Stop giving the Disney folks your money. At all.

    I love Tinkerbell!

In the order of merit for fairies, there is:

The Fairy from The Legend of Zelda….

The fairy from The Legend of Neil….

    Ozzy Osbourne’s “Fairies Wear Boots”….

    Tinkerbell….

The Fairy Godmother from Shrek 2 (especially her rendition of “Holding Out For a Hero”)…. Wait, this might be #1….

The really uncomfortable dude at the haircut place when my normal girl is sick and I don’t have time to reschedule in three weeks (“No, thank you, I don’t care how good a scalp massage you claim to give, I’ll forego the shampoo and itch until I get home, thank you….” “I honestly don’t care that you’re a dude, but you’re making it weird….” “I was gonna tip really well just because I’m afraid of being viewed as homophobic – I honestly don’t care who you sleep with as long as it’s consensual – but I’m now honestly now more afraid to close my eyes around you. Do you practice that lisp? There’s no way it is natural.”

You are beyond funny. I endorse your list, except for the sketchy barber.

And this is what you get when you gut the principles of Western Civilization (founded in Christianity) for Progressivism. They consider her “problematic” – well, YES! She is supposed to be problematic. She is supposed to represent things like an over-commitment to emotionalism. She is supposed to be the vice of jealousy. She does bad things because she indulges in that particular vice.

But no one has ever insisted these cretins actually READ a story for comprehension from the point of view of the author or his intended audience. So, the gingerbread boy has to get away and Tinkerbell has to not have any vices. And this way you raise moral and intellectual imbeciles and emotional degenerates. THIS is how you get keffiyeh-wearing morons chanting bad rhymes in college quads and claiming someone is bad for not forcing them to eat when they’re doing a “hunger strike” (for all of 3 hours at a time).

This isn’t the timeline I was promised when I bought my ticket! Can I get a refund? Or at least a cheap transfer to the one with flying cars and laser guns?
