Israel has a blunt message for Chuck Schumer. Stay the hell out of our country’s business.
Schumer, caving to the rabid far-left, decided yesterday was the day to lecture Israel. He literally stood on the floor of the United States Senate and told Israel that they need to kick Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the curb and put a two-state solution in place.
Schumer may supposedly be a life-long supporter of Israel, but you sure as hell couldn’t tell it from yesterday’s speech. Schumer did speak out last fall against the rampant AntiSemitism that is front and center across the country right now, but yesterday’s speech was a huge gift to advocates for Palestine and haters of Israel.
But he said on the Senate floor Thursday that the ”Israeli people are being stifled right now by a governing vision that is stuck in the past.”
Schumer says Netanyahu, who has long opposed Palestinian statehood, is one of several obstacles in the way of the two-state solution pushed by the United States. Netanyahu “has lost his way by allowing his political survival to take precedence over the best interests of Israel,” Schumer said.
The majority leader is also blaming right-wing Israelis, Hamas and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Until they are all removed from the equation, Schumer said, “there will never be peace in Israel and Gaza and the West Bank.”
The United States cannot dictate the outcome of an election in Israel, Schumer said, but “a new election is the only way to allow for a healthy and open decision-making process about the future of Israel, at a time when so many Israelis have lost their confidence in the vision and direction of their government.”
Oh, so he’s only suggesting that Israel come to the table and agree to whatever Hamas demands. Got it. Well, there were certainly a great many people who watched his speech and have a much different view. Mitch McConnell let him have it with both barrels.
The primary “obstacles to peace” in Israel’s region are genocidal terrorists and corrupt PA leaders who repeatedly reject peace deals. Foreign observers who cannot keep this straight ought to refrain from interfering in the democracy of a sovereign ally.

You know, if Donald Trump had gotten up and proposed exactly what Schumer is pushing, the WORLD would be screaming election interference! But since it’s a Democrat, he has all the members of his party leaping to his defense. See here, here, here, and here for prime examples.
Schumer wants Netanyahu gone and a two-state solution agreed to, all while ignoring that a two-state solution as we’ve noted time and again, has never and will never work with Hamas terrorists running Gaza. But Schumer is ignoring history and facts. Instead, he spent the day doubling down and even backpedaling somewhat.
Israel must do whatever is necessary to eliminate Hamas. Hamas is the government of Gaza. When you talk about the two state solution, who do you envision as the leader of the Palestinian state?

Who can sign a peace treaty with Israel and make sure that PFLP or Islamic Jihad…
As Friedman asks, how can Chuck push for a two-state solution when the Palestinians have NEVER shown the inclination to try? Because it’s all about votes and politics here at home.
It will be interesting to see what Chuck has to say given the fact that political leaders across Israel have literally told him to shove it. NO ONE in that country is happy with him right now. NO ONE.
For their part, Israeli officials are not backing down. In response to Schumer’s comments, Ambassador Michael Herzog said, “Israel is a sovereign democracy. It is unhelpful, all the more so as Israel is at war against the genocidal terror organization Hamas, to comment on the domestic political scene of a democratic ally. It is counterproductive to our common goals.”
The Ambassador wasn’t the only one. The Likud was even more blunt.
In response to the speech, Netanyahu’s Likud party laid into the senator, saying “Israel is an independent and proud democracy that elected Prime Minister Netanyahu, not a banana republic.”
“Prime Minister Netanyahu leads a determined policy that is supported by a huge majority of the people,” it added. “Contrary to Schumer’s words, the Israeli public supports a complete victory over Hamas, rejects any international dictates to establish a Palestinian terrorist state, and opposes the return of the Palestinian Authority to Gaza.
“It is expected of Senator Schumer to respect Israel’s elected government and not undermine it. This is always true, but even more so during wartime.”
Benny Gantz, Israel’s war cabinet minister (who is one of Netanyahu’s rivals) was even more blunt. External interference by elected officials from other countries is totally unacceptable.
The United States and Israel share common values and interests, and the citizens of Israel profoundly cherish the clear stance of the United States in support of Israel throughout these trying times.

The Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is a friend of Israel, and though he…
Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett literally told Schumer to stay out of Israel’s business.
Regardless of our political opinion, we strongly oppose external political intervention in Israel’s internal affairs.
We are an independent nation, not a banana republic.
With the threat of terrorism on its way to the West, it would be best if the international community would assist Israel in its just war, thereby also protecting their countries.
Schumer, earlier in the week had called again for Hamas to release the remaining hostages and bear responsibility for the October 7 attack and the atrocities the terrorists committed. Yet, just days later Chuck did an about face and handed Hamas a gift with his diatribe against Israel.

Schumer is wrong.
“It is terrorists, rapists, and murderers of Hamas who are obstacles to peace.” pic.twitter.com/tYwGbDhupE
Schumer, in his speech which you can read in full here, literally names names in the Israeli government and says they need to go while giving lip service to the fact that many in the Hamas government will stay in power. How is that not interference in the business of a country? It is, and Chuck Schumer overstepped big time with the blessing of the Biden Administration.

Schumer has been too long on the government teat. I refuse to listen to anything he says.
Typical Democrat who believes that it’s those Jews insisting that they are human beings who have a right to live that are keeping us from peace on Earth.
Let’s dig up and scatter the bones of Saint Franklin – the DEMOCRAT that insisted on the unconditional surrender and occupation of Germany and Japan, and was willing to spend as many lives of soldiers and civilians to achieve that end.
(By the way, I saw an argument today that Schumer and his like shouldn’t be referred to as “self-hating Jews.” Which is quite correct – they are Marxist Jew haters that happen to have Hebrew genetics. Their DNA is the only thing that distinguishes them from the Hamas genocidalists on this issue.)
Meanwhile Donald Trump is opening his mouth and oprdering Netanyahu to “Finish it up quickly in Gaza”. I did not know that Trump was a miltiary strategist.
