However much, this has been frightening/entertaining/par for the course in 2023, you SHOULD BE aware that the Attorney General of New York State, Letitia James, is deposing President Donald J. Trump in Manhattan today.
Since you were probably busy day-drinking about the Biden tour, here is the story from Alexander Hamilton’s favorite newspaper, The New York Post:
Former President Donald Trump repeated his claim Albany’s top prosecutor is “racist” — and that her lawsuit against him is “ridiculous” — before being deposed in connection with a $250 million civil case Thursday morning.
Trump, 76, was back in Manhattan eight days after being charged with 34 felonies to testify in connection with accusations he and three of his children overvalued his assets by billions of dollars to get favorable loans.
Well, if they were overvalued, then the banks were not doing their jobs. We all know that we you go to buy a house and get a loan from a bank, the bank orders an appraisal. The appraiser goes through the home to make sure it is as it was represented, all the faucets and utility machinery is there, looks at the comps, performs some magic and values your house. You pay for the appraisal. You can probably argue it if they lowball you, but good luck. Letitia James thinks that Donald Trump is a powerful sorcerer, doesn’t she?

The current Republican contender for president took to Truth Social to issue a bitter attack on New York Attorney General Letitia James hours before his expected deposition.
“I will be heading downtown to meet with a Racist who leaked that I would be there at 9:30 A.M.,” Trump wrote. “The leak makes it much more difficult for the Police and Secret Service to do their job. This civil case is ridiculous, just like all of the other Election Interference cases being brought against me. If I had a fair judge, this case would have never happened. MAGA!”
James’ office declined to issue a comment on Trump’s missive. It had not been previously reported what time Trump was expected to be deposed.
For a world-renowned builder, Trump must be pretty clean. He has had a colonoscopy from the Federal Government and just about every corrupt elf skinned minnow in the United States and come up clean. Unbelievable.

Today, in a YouTube video, Donald Trump promised to overhaul the justice system:
This is a massive undertaking. Murders walk free. Marginalized communities are decimated. Pro-life clinics are destroyed. Innocents lives are lost. Trump, is right, yet again.
Letitia James is probably safe in the Soviet Socialist Republic of New York, but some of those other folks ought to get their resumes ready.

First of all “builder.” He puts his name on buildings and then charges a fee.
While president (lower case “p”), TFG (the Fucking Genius) somehow got around the administrative rule that a sitting president’s taxes would be reviewed by the IRS. That never happened. I wonder why?
TFG (the Fucking Genius) has been in litigation for years and years over his taxes. TFG (the Fucking Genius) uses the legal system like no other, that is where he should be reveled; not his long list of failed businesses.
I find it amazing that TFG (the Fucking Genius) who claims he is a billionaire, flies into Manhattan on a jet with his name emblazoned on the side, send outs dozens of requests every day for money … that goes to fund his legal battles. Ah, but the true believers who are struggling financially continue to send their hard earned pennies to this fraudster.
Justice will come home to roost for the 280 pound malignant tumor. The courts work at a snails pace and if any of the legal rulings in the last week say anything, the justice system is catching up to him.
Dan Palmer says: He does license his name, but he also builds. He built Trump Tower in NYC, he built the Trump Tower in Chicago, I know there are more, but I don’t have time to research it. He made his name into a brand and like most brands has taken advantage of that to license it to others, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t also a builder.

Trump has many, many flaws. When you compare him honestly with the other recent candidates, he comes out looking really, really good… but only *in comparison*.
You are complaining that the tallest Munchkin in Munchkinland is too short to be president of Munchkinland. Yes, he is indeed short! And yet, the other choices are all shorter.
Continuing the analogy, I would *love* a contender that is not short. In fact, I would like one that is TALL! When there is such a one running, it will be the first in *at least* several decades.
