Who knew that the New York Times still commits occasional acts of reporting? It appears that the story behind two-years’ worth of CDC playing hide-the-ball on the covid data it collected was just too important to bury.
It has been clear from only a few months into the Wuhan Lab Lung Rot that the CDC and St. Fauci were less about the science and more about political turf wars. Certainly, the CDC has changed course several times over the past two years regarding all manner of “Trust us, this is SCIENCE!!” over covid. Each change was always accompanied with bureaucratise that easily translates into This is SCIENCE!!, follow it and shut up.
For more than a year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has collected data on hospitalizations for Covid-19 in the United States and broken it down by age, race and vaccination status. But it has not made most of the information public.
When the C.D.C. published the first significant data on the effectiveness of boosters in adults younger than 65 two weeks ago, it left out the numbers for a huge portion of that population: 18- to 49-year-olds, the group the data showed was least likely to benefit from extra shots, because the first two doses already left them well-protected. (snip)
Two full years into the pandemic, the agency leading the country’s response to the public health emergency has published only a tiny fraction of the data it has collected, several people familiar with the data said.
Screw local agencies who could use the data to better figure out and tailor policies to their own areas. Screw independent scientists and epidemiologists trying to get a more informed picture on what was happening on the ground.
One might conclude is that the CDC bureaucracy was more interested in obfuscating the issue in order to save their own phony-baloney reputations than engaging in real science.
This is our shocked face.
Kristen Nordlund, a spokeswoman for the C.D.C., said the agency has been slow to release the different streams of data “because basically, at the end of the day, it’s not yet ready for prime time.” She said the agency’s “priority when gathering any data is to ensure that it’s accurate and actionable.”
Yeah, sure, uh huh. We certainly trust everything you say, Ms. Spokeshole. Oh, wait …
Another reason is fear that the information might be misinterpreted, Ms. Nordlund said.
Misinterpreted. Suuuuuuuure. And as the CDC has gone out of its way to hide data and engaged in stealth editing …
… along with the Olympic-worthy gaslighting by every SCIENCE!! adjacent bureaucrat, we are amazed that any sane person would trust these pompous poltroons who can’t even get around to approving N95 manufacturing in any sort of timely manner.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention oversees a backlog of 142 applications from manufacturers of air-filtering masks such as N95s, which the agency was criticized as being slow to recommend over cloth masks before updating its guidance Friday. (snip)
The backlog contributed to masks stacking up in their warehouses even as COVID-19 cases skyrocketed, according to American-based N95 manufacturers, many of whom began making protective equipment like masks for the first time during the pandemic.
Should it be surprising that us dumb-bunny citizens are unwilling to trust the constant narrative on how serious, really serious, pinky-promise serious this all is when we see, time and again, Our Glorious Betters blowing it off as no big deal?
The Federal mandarin class needs to be fumigated … from the FBI and CIA targeting of parents and other deplorables to CDC/FDA refusing to release data in fear of losing their narrative du jour. However, that means a change in D.C.
Vote this November as if your life and liberty depend on it. Because it does.

The elites prove on a daily basis that they really don’t like democracy. A democratic republic depends on an informed population. “Nudging”, withholding information, and outright lying, destroy the ability of the voter to choose…That is what the elites want. We’re seeing the rebirth of the aristocracy.
Neil Oliver mentioned sometime ago that the government in Britain actually has a ‘nudge’ unit in behavioral health. The great reset may be becoming the great divide, greater than perhaps we realize. If the protests we are seeing around the world continue and proliferate the elite should maybe start worrying a tad. I am trying to be hopeful.
“Hope” is NOT a practical strategy.
BTW, in the unlikely event some of the peasants finally “have had enough”, would you like to contemplate the live-streamed, lockstep outpouring justifying their extermination?
As Winston Churchill noted:
““If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory.”
Stromectol is Ivermectin? Does that make it more expensive?
