A quote: “Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” ~~ T. S. Eliot
I’ll start with a story …
**************************************
Today, I decided to be happy.
The wall chimed to wake me, and I ignored it – as I did my desk’s frantic message to logon and start work.
I stepped out, onto a sidewalk, in the open. Glorious sunshine on my unprotected skin. And it wasn’t even my permitted outing day!
Smiling, I stood and waited for transport to market center and smiled at every person I passed.
They startled, they scowled, they were frightened as if I was going to attack them.
But a few … a tiny handful … smiled back.
I going to do this again tomorrow.
**************************************
Now, it’s your turn.

Democracy In The Asylum
A stranger has come
Casting votes in the house not right in the head,
Rage, mad as birds
Bullets bark as rocket’s red glare.
Strife in mazed streets
She deludes in salacious spittle proofs
Yet she deludes with nightmarish broadcasts,
In large mobs drones,
Riding imagined schisms of woke wards.
She has come possessed
Who admits delusive light
Possessed zombie yahoos
She in blood brimmed troughs of lost trusts
Yet raves at will
On madhouse streets, charded in unblinking tears.
Return Light, open arms at long last
I will without fail
Recall first visions lighting Liberty’s fire among the stars.

You’re under arrest. That will be a $10,000 fine and 6 months in jail with
all the rest of your super spreader friends. Let that be a lesson to you and an example to everyone else.

An executive’s rounding error put me at a desk in the middle of a field near Potwin, Kansas. I was lucky. I got the morning shift. That’s mostly when the Feds arrived.
The mapping company had rounded the geographic center of the USA down to whole numbers, accidentally setting the physical address for 600 million IPs to this lonely plot. The settlement with the family who lived here specified *WE* would explain to all the cops that this was NOT the real address for today’s internet scammers.
The black Suburban pulled up, windshield smeared with bugs.
“G’morning, Tom.” I sighed, wearily.
