Thunberg Is A Public Figure, Barron Trump Is Not

Greta Thunberg is the hated-filled public face of the totalitarian Green movement. Any speech about her that is less than a gesture of genuflecting worship is condemned because YOUTH! The newest talking point is if you can’t mock Barron Trump, then you must leave St. Greta alone.

Bovine excrement.

Thunberg as public figure

While Time Magazine was able to photoshop out her puppetmasters’ strings, Greta has still met the legal definition of public figure

… a personage of great public interest or familiarity like a government official, politician, celebrity, business leader, movie star, or sports hero …

In addition,

a public official or any other person pervasively involved in public affairs, or … those who have “thrust themselves to the forefront of particular public controversies in order to influence the resolution of the issues involved.

As we’ve been the unfortunate witnesses to, Greta has become the very public face of the totalitarian Green movement. From hobnobbing with celebrities to hate-filled screeds in front the the United Nations to her public threats to put world leaders “up against the wall”, the fact she’s 16 years old (b. Jan. 3, 2003) should not shield her from any criticism, mild or mocking.

Interesting take from a man who fondles children in public, lets them play with his leg hair and enjoys them jumping into his lap.

Then we had that intellectual brain-trust, Joy Behar, taking the opportunity of the President’s very mild snark to attempt to drag in Barron Trump

Behar and fellow co-host Sunny Hostin also called out First Lady Melania Trump for defending her teen son Barron, but not Thunberg, even though Thunberg petulantly lectured world leaders and thrust herself into the public spotlight:

BEHAR: Where is Melania? She was SO upset by the Barron comment, the lawyer!

HOSTIN: I don’t think it’s appropriate for the President to go after a 16-year-old who has Asperger’s, and climate activist I would like to see from the First Lady the same kind of energy and verve in which she used for defending her son!

Personal aside – who actually watches The View? I mean other than the intrepid seekers of endless mockable quotes? Behar couldn’t light a match without detailed instructions and a helping hand from her sycophant entourage.

Barron Trump is a private teen

Barron is a 13-year-old teen in a famous family. Both his parents have sought to keep his privacy intact. Indeed, his public appearances have been strictly limited and he has made no public statements of opinions on anything. Of course, this hasn’t stopped the numerous and scurrilous attacks on Barron.

And his own mother, the First Lady, is not allowed to defend her son.

Never forget, the Left plays Calvinball

The election of Donald Trump has really broken the thin facade of a decent, fair-minded Left. There are no standards that cannot be trashed, no hypocrisy to be avoided, no violent rhetoric that cannot be deployed if it can be used to annul the 2016 election and prevent voters from their own choice in 2020 and beyond. Whether it’s St. Greta demanding a return to the 17th century or riots in the streets over the clear electoral victory of Boris Johnson, this quote is all you need to know about the Left.

The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.

Don’t reason with the Left. Push back. Always push back.

In the court of public opinion if one raises one’s head above the parapets and lets fly, one must expect return ‘fire’. I this girl – she’s not a woman with life experience – consider just another spoiled, controlling and obsessive autistic brat who has been allowed to grow up through early childhood without being taught what Dr Temple Grandin called ‘Miss Manners lesson’. I blame her [self-] indulgent parents.

This. Most assuredly this. We could call it the Hogg Rule. (He tried that crap. too = having the media scold people for attacking a poor child.)

What kind of president bullies a teenager?
Not the same ones as feel them up and sniff their hair, Joe.

    petulantly lectured world leaders
I think “scolded” is a better word. Though I do like the inclusion of “petulant”.

    who has Asperger’s
Oh no :O She’s not just a child, but she’s a crippled one, too! Don’t you people have any compassion in your miserable capitalist bones?!
    *eyeroll*

You could have included the rest of her horses… bovine excrement in that thread. Hoo boy.

    GWB: ”She’s not just a child, but she’s a crippled one, …”

During my professional career I worked with other autistic adults who were university qualified professionals in the areas of occupational therapy, psychology and many who were teachers. One is presently the Principal of a special school. All of them, like me, had strict upbringings and were taught to behave. None of were excused being polite and civil.

‘Crippled’ is the wrong word here. Autism is not a physical ailment. Indeed it is not necessarily a handicapping condition at all if autistics are taught to behave in early years. However, and your underlying point is correct, gullible and also opportunistic people use the fact that she is autistic to allow for/excuse behaviour that should not be tolerated. Being autistic thus becomes a ‘get-out-of-gaol-free’ card for such as ‘Greta the Great Seer’. Some people, since Hollywood [see the films Rainman and Mercury Rising for instance] promoted the notion that autistics have almost magic savant abilities, fall for this notion, hence their adoration of this teenage school truant.

Are they giving her maturity suppressants? I don’t know the right term but she is not developing like an almost 17 year old. Is she being kept childlike in her physique? Autism doesn’t affect maturation, does it?
