One could look at the latest cosmic disturbance as par for the galaxy when Kanye West is involved. It would be partially true. If Ye is involved drama soon follows. It’s a little like Pigpen and dirt in the “Peanuts”comics. This is bigger though. Kanye West’s feeling of being used is an opportunity to destroy Candace Owens, Turning Point USA and Blexit. So what happened?
Remember way back to last weekend and the Young Black Leadership Summit that Turning Point USA sponsored? Well, if one has an event there must be a tshirt designed for the event. The shirts are sold at the event and made available on line for the those who couldn’t attend. Yes. This is about a t shirt.
Candace Owens who is smart, funny and telegenic (killer combo) seemed to indicate that her “fellow superhero” Ye designed the t shirt at the Leadership Summit. From the Washington Post article on West and Owens:
The drama started this past weekend at a meeting of young black conservatives in Washington sponsored by Turning Point USA, a conservative nonprofit for which Owens is a spokeswoman. Owens introduced the movement and its merchandise by giving a shout-out to the rap star: “Blexit is a renaissance and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West.”
Nobody steps on Yeezy’s brand. Yesterday morning, Ye sent a series of tweets:
Quite frankly, I don’t blame Mr. West for being upset. His name and his brand. If Kanye West did introduce Miss Owens to a designer who helped with the Blexit t shirts, that’s cool. If the designer didn’t want his name associated with anything controversial, that’s cool. Candace Owens let her success go to her head for a moment and dropped Kanye West’s name. Big mistake. Yuge. Candace Owens is 29 years old and she is going to make big, yuge mistakes.
The Young Turks with Cenk Uyger had to play mean girls and say Donald Trump lost his one black friend. Oy vey.
Don’t worry. I couldn’t watch the whole thing either.
What Candace Owens did that most people could learn a big lesson from is that Candace apologized. Billboard reported:
“If I had to imagine what it would feel like to have a bullet pierce my heart, it would be exactly like the moment I learned Kanye told the world he felt I had used him. I wouldn’t wish the way I felt last night upon my worst enemy,” she began. “I never once said that Kanye designed the t-shirts for BLEXIT. This is a lie that seems to have made its way around the world; a lie I would like to again correct for the record.”
And:
The 29-year-old went on to state that West was right in feeling used by having his name unfairly attached to the campaign. “Kanye was completely right to feel used in that regard and as I have done personally, I would like to publicly apologize to him for any undue stress or pain the effort to correct that rumor has caused him, his business relationships, or his family. He simply never designed them,” wrote Owens.
That is gracious and well written. I mean, Candace Owens is the Communications Director for Turning Point USA. It’s great that she is very good at communicating. It would be really gracious if Kanye West would Tweet an acceptance of her apology. Hint. Hint. Not that Kanye West has any reason to listen to me.
If black people are going to have a viable choice other than the Democrat Party, the Blexit movement is going to have to go forward nearly mistake free. The ugly hatred for any black person who doesn’t toe the line that all Republicans are racist is galactic. Good job, Candace. Keep working hard. The Republic needs you.

There’s always #WalkAway
Too bad if that’s all it takes to chase Kanye back to the plantation. I was giving him more credit than that.
It was an opportunity for Kanye to be a man by supporting the freedom movement of his own black community. He obviously still has some growing up to do. He’ll be lucky if life ever offers him a second chance. Candace for sure doesn’t owe him that.
[…] not the first time Ye and Owens have been together. Remember Blexit’s teeshirt fiasco? I guess the duo have made amends with one […]
