Well, we can answer that question now, 1 1/2 months after Benghazi. They knew almost immediately.

Within two hours of the terrorist’s attack on the U.S. Libyan embassy, the White House, the State Department and the FBI were told that the AQ-affliated terrorist group, Ansar al-Sharia, had claimed credit. This is according to our government’s own e-mails that were obtained by Fox News and others.

Here is the State Department e-mail sent to the White House Situation Room two hours after the attack:

“Ansar al-Sharia (an Al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist group) Claims Responsibility for Benghazi Attack.”

Barack Obama’s Administration developed a cover story, blaming the attack on some crazed mob; furious over some American-made anti-Muslim video. This cover story was clearly meant to shield this incompetent, vacuous White House for the embassy’s security lapse which resulted in the horrible deaths of our Ambassador and 3 other Americans. Most egregious of course, is the fact the attack occurred on the anniversary of September 11th.

Who WOULDN’T think to beef up security on that day?

They were all in on the cover-up, of course. Here is a detailed timeline on who said what — it’s STAGGERING. The bogus anti-Islamic video cover story was repeated by administration spokespersons and surrogates, which included elected officials, the UN Ambassador Susan Rice, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama himself. The Administration even spent tax payer dollars to make a State Department commercial, apologizing for “the video” in Pakistan.

The leaked Benghazi emails are really disturbing. The attack was reported to THE SITUATION ROOM within 2 hours. Hello? That’s in the White House. So, where was Barack Obama? Where was he exactly at the time the first email was delivered? What was Barack Obama doing for the 7 hours while Americans were under attack and dying? What decisions did he make?

It’s sickening.

The more that is revealed about what happened in Benghazi, the worse Barack Obama looks, if that’s possible. The truth is, he knew, and almost in real time. They all knew the awful truth of what happened at Benghazi. They watched it happen; our people dying, our American property destroyed.

Then they crafted a cover story, and as often as possible, went forth and lied to all of us.
