3 Reasons Why You Don’t Get to Whine About Ted Nugent

Last month, Ted Nugent called Obama a “Chicago communist-raised, communist-educated, communist-nurtured subhuman mongrel … ACORN community organizer gangster.”  This week, he’s being attacked—and so is the guy he’s campaigning for, Texas Governor candidate (and Wendy Davis opponent) Greg Abbott.  You see, liberals (and some conservatives) are very loud about how offensive it all is.  It’s racist.  It’s hate speech.  It’s just awful.   Nugent had some choice words for female members of US leadership too, calling them “brain-dead soulless idiot,” “varmints,” “fat pigs” and “dirty whores.”  According to a lot of people today, Ted Nugent is a sexist, racist, mean, terrible person and Someone Should Make Him Stop.   There’s only one problem; well, actually there are three reasons why your blog posts and talking head outrage and Twitter fury is all a big bunch of steaming manure—and by “you,” I mean anyone on either side of the aisle who is whining.  Let’s begin, shall we?

1. Liberals don’t exactly have the high ground when it comes to inflammatory speech.  Ed Schultz can call Laura Ingraham a “right wing slut” and that’s okay.  Keith Olbermann can call Michelle Malkin a mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it.  No worries.  Bill Maher can even say that the real name of then-20-year-old Bristol Palin’s book should be “Whoops, There’s a Dick in Me.”  He also called Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin a c**t, but really, who’s counting?  Point being, don’t even stand up and point a finger until you’re willing to actually do something about the runaway mouths in your own camp.

2. It’s equality.  Some feminists are all up in arms about the comments Nugent leveled at the female leaders (I use the term loosely), but here’s the deal, ladies.  You guys wanted to play on the big boy field.  You wanted to get equal treatment.  Well, here’s what that looks like.  You get called names.  Maybe you don’t get a full run-on sentence like Obama did, but we can always work on that later.  Bottom line?  Politics is a dirty job.  If you want red carpet, go be a movie star.  You’re already getting paid to lie and be someone you’re not, so you already have the skill set.

3. Whether you like it or not, the Constitution protects Ted Nugent.  In fact, it was made TO protect people like Ted Nugent.  And Keith Olbermann, and Bill Maher.  And me.  The same law, in fact, that allows me to say that Michelle Obama looks like the north end of a southbound elephant also allows you to post entire websites with articles titled “Kit Lange is an utter cretin.”  (That’s a true story, by the way.)  It allows you to write a thousand articles about what you think I am.  It also allows me to come back and write a blog post in response that is just the word “LOL” in 52 point font.

It also protects Ted Nugent, and allows him to say whatever he wants about his government or the people in it.  That’s called the First Amendment.  It is sacred.  It is not up for debate.  In fact, when I see conservative pundits talking about how Nugent is so offensive, I think about all the things that we see in Hollywood, and all the scandals in Washington involving sexting and penis pics and brothels and gay porn, and I shake my head because it’s all just a big farce.  The outrage is fake.  It’s a political vehicle to garner public support for themselves by coming out “against injustice” and other buzzwords.

It’s all really simple.  He can say what he wants.  Until you’re willing to end the porn industry, stop events like the Folsom Street Fair, and jail everyone who says mean things, then you can shut up about Ted.  By the way…if you are willing to do all that, then you don’t have a clue what freedom of speech is anyway.

“North end of a southbound elephant”. Sniff….that’s pure poetry.

    I love Ted Nugent.

Now let’s hear the lib’s head explode!!!

Ted Nugent thrives on getting libs upset. I personally wish he would speak without the epithets, swear words, etc. which make his sound juvenile and stupid(he is anything but stupid and his clarity about being a constitutionalist is solid and reassuring). But as you say, he is permitted by our constitution to say what he wishes.
This past week, Rush described a conversation he had with one of the head writers of one of the late night shows in which he asked by the Obama administration was off limits regarding jokes. The writer said that there isn’t anything funny about Obamacare to joke about, and that they have found that Democrats/Liberals cannot take a joke, become offended at everything and are completely thin skinned, whereas the Republicans/conservatives simply laugh at jokes on themselves.
I marvel at Libs ability to be constantly upset and offended at any and every comment. opinion, etc. that isn’t 100% in lockstep with their utopian fantasies.

As a typesetter and a member of the font-obsessed, I LOVE that line! ;D

The underlying problem here is that no one in the media will question the liberals’ “right” to infringe on 1A, nor will the media bring up the points that Kit mentioned. If the media did its job instead of being a cheerleader for liberal ideology, the hypocrisy and double standards of the left would be obvious to all. You can’t win elections that way.

This is why they want Fox shut down, and if there were a station without any political bias – that reported strictly facts and had no editorial slant – liberals would demand it be shut down too. Because the unadorned truth would expose them as liars, racists, and thieves.

“Female” does not automatically equate to “lady” but those bimbos seem to think they can make all the rude comments they want without being held accountable for it. Ted disagrees, and so do I.

Wonder what the response would have been if Kinky Friedman (of the East Texas Jew Boys) had said those things? He said similar things when he was running for Texas Gov, and I don’t recall any outrage.

Nugent is from Detroit. You don’t like what he says, go to his house, at night, and complain. You’ll get a full measure of what it’s like to live under a Democrate regime for decades. After a while, patience and politeness wear thin.

    • Jen says:

Nugent now resides in Texas and has for the past six or seven years. I think he may still own his property in Michigan near Jackson, but his house there became infested with black mold and he couldn’t salvage it. He also couldn’t stand what was happening with the state of Michigan under Gov. Jennifer Grandholm, so moved to Texas.

      • ALman says:

Was that a typo, or were you being understandably snarky? That is, “Granholm” not Grandholm. After all, I didn’t notice anything she accomplished as governor to qualify as being so grand. And, her speech at the DNC has to be on the list of “I can’t believe she did that!”

  • Angela Hoytie (@Ange6H777) says:

Ted offended mongrels by calling Obama one, that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it. If that’s offensive to this progressive regime, then they should put on their big boy and big girl pants and tough it out..

  • ALman says:

    UPDATE:

By February 21, Nugent did make an apology for using the phrase. While talking with radio host Ben Ferguson, Nugent offered an apology, though “not necessarily” to Obama.

“I do apologize – not necessarily to the President – but on behalf of much better men than myself, like the best governor in America, Gov. Rick Perry, [and] the best attorney general in America, Greg Abbott [of Texas],” Nugent said.

“I apologize for using the street fighter terminology, like ‘subhuman mongrel,’ instead of just using more understandable language such as ‘violator of his oath to the Constitution,'” Nugent continued. “I apologize for using the term. I will try to elevate my vernacular to the level of those great men that I’m learning from in the world of politics.”
