Does the UN International Court of Justice actually think that Israel gives a care that they are ORDERING them to stop the military operations in Rafah?
Israel does not, but the UN ICJ has some balls in demanding that the IDF halt their military campaign on their say-so.
Israel must immediately halt its military operations in the area of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, the United Nations top court ruled Friday.
The ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) marks a major condemnation of how Israel is conducting its war against Hamas in Gaza but also leaves open whether the ruling can be enforced.
Judges on the court voted 13-2 for Israel to “Immediately halt its military offensive, and any other action in the Rafah Governorate, which may inflict on the Palestinian group in Gaza conditions of life that could bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.”
The case at the ICJ was brought by South Africa, accusing Israel of carrying out genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and appealed to the court to implement more stringent measures to block Israel’s military operations.
The court focused its ruling on the southern Gazan city of Rafah, which sits on the border with Egypt and is the epicenter of a nearly two-week military campaign being carried out by Israel.
The ICJ, in its ruling, also voted 13-2 for Israel to “open the Rafah crossing [with Egypt] for unhindered provision at scale of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance.”
The court further is calling on Israel to ensure the unimpeded access to the Gaza Strip for any investigative bodies and fact-finding missions to investigate allegations of genocide.
The ruling by the ICJ marks a significant statement of international condemnation against a democratic country with a robust, independent judiciary. Still, the court has limited ability to enforce its ruling and Israel is unlikely to adhere to the court’s order.
Now, the UN ICJ is incredibly biased against Israel. This case, brought by that sterling bastion of human rights, South Africa, has zero enforcement ability. And the lead judge in the case, Nawaf Salam of Lebanon, is of course TOTALLY fair and impartial and comes to this case with no problems with Israel…
Today's #ICJ order on if Israel withdraw from Rafah & Gaza, will be delivered by Presiding judge Nawaf Salam, of Lebanon.
Here he is, in 2016, as Lebanon's Ambassador to UN, accusing Israel of apartheid, war crimes & terror.
And we are supposed to be believe he is impartial? pic.twitter.com/dpoREmXayK

Oh. Whoops. Kind of seems like this “verdict” was baked into the cake, doesn’t it?
Now, our readers will remember that the UN does not have clean hands in regard to October 7th. In fact, while this case has been winding its way through the ICJ, the UN’s special agency dedicated solely to the Palestinians, the United Nations Relief And Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has been revealed to basically be Hamas-controlled. UNRWA employees took part in the massacres and aftermath of October 7th. Hostages have testified that they were held by UNRWA “teachers” in Gaza. UNRWA tried to “fix” these “issues” by simply “firing” the employees in question, while the UN has remained silent as to why their agency was complicit in all these actions – and allowed the ICJ to continue its non-enforceable rulings against Israel.
And while the ICJ has now demanded that the IDF stop their military operations in Rafah, they – and the UN – are strangely silent YET AGAIN regarding the bodies of dead hostages that were recovered last week (with an additional body of a hostage being found a day later). It was initially assumed that these bodies had been recovered from Rafah, but apparently not. This was in Jabalia, which is still euphemistically referred to as a “refugee camp” when it is really a large city in northern Gaza. And everyone will be shocked, SHOCKED, to learn where those bodies were hidden.

The full post reads:
The Israel Defense Force released Videos and Images today showing the Entrance of the Hamas Tunnel System where the Bodies of 4 Hostages; Ron Benjamin, Amit Buskila, Itzhak Gelerenter, and Shani Louk were all Discovered last Friday. Israeli Officials state that the Entrance to the Tunnel was located inside of a United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Building within the City of Jabalia in Northern Gaza, with Fighting in the Complex and inside of the Tunnel Network taking over a Week before the Bodies were Found.
The IDF is also confirming that the tunnel where the bodies were hidden was booby-trapped.
A force commanded by Capt. Roy Beit Yaakov entered the booby-trapped house to search it. Even after eight months of constant fighting across the Gaza Strip, the troops went out of their way to check every closet and corner.
Beit Yaakov insisted on pulling up a rug in one of the rooms, and found a square metal door in the middle of the floor.
He reported on the radio that he had found a tunnel shaft, and Rotem secured the area and summoned a force from the Combat Engineering Corps’ elite Yahalom unit. The force, Samech 2, was commanded by Captain Aleph, who can only be referred to by his Hebrew initial.
The Yahalom force uncovered a shaft about ten meters (30 feet) deep, with a metal ladder bolted into one of the sides.
It didn’t look different from dozens of other shafts they had found, but Aleph insisted on using all the tools available at this disposal to search for the bodies of hostages in the tunnel.
“We discovered explosives at the entrance of the shaft,” Aleph told The Times of Israel. “We began operating underground, carefully, with determination, using intuition. We found several suspicious areas, which ultimately led us to locate the hostages and to extract them that same night.”
“After we confirmed they were our hostages, there is no greater pride than that,” Aleph continued. “There is no greater privilege. And we want to continue ceaselessly to bring more and more hostages home.”
And early today, the IDF announced that three more hostage bodies had been recovered.
(Rear Admiral Daniel) Hagari said the IDF operation to recover the bodies took place on Thursday, with Israeli special forces retrieving the bodies of Hanan Yablonka, Michel Nisenbaum, an Israeli-Brazilian national, and Orion Hernandez, a Mexican-French national.
Hagari said all three hostages were killed by Hamas militants during the Oct. 7 attack on Israel and that their bodies were taken to Gaza.
Hernández was the boyfriend of Shani Louk, whose body was recovered last week. Hamas texted his family from his phone.
Yablonka was a father of two and was at the Nova Music Festival.
Nisenbaum, originally from Brazil, was a father of two and grandfather of five. https://t.co/6lAJUEiQd5

The horror just does not end for these families. While it may be a comfort to know that their loved ones have not been suffering in captivity, and that their remains have been recovered and returned, I don’t think any of us can fully comprehend their agony. And the UN remains silent, even when confronted with their own employees being terrorists. Their International Court of “Justice” wants to stop Israel from rooting out the Hamas terrorists responsible, while being strangely unaware and uninterested why the UNRWA has been completely usurped by Hamas – to the point of having tunnel access in their own building, where the bodies of hostages were being hidden.
The UN continues to be a completely worthless organization, the ICJ is a joke, and Israel will continue – at great cost – to keep hunting down the Hamas terrorists and following every lead and clue to at least give some peace to the families of those who are being held hostage, alive or dead, in Gaza.

“How dare those darn Jews win battles against Muslims!?”
Long past time for the US to pull out of the UN and kick those clowns out of their prime real estate in NYC..
It has been nothing but a very bad joke for a very long time.

The problem isn’t only the ICC, it is our so-called allies (France, Germany) who support this abomination. It was pretty much a sick joke even before it starting trying to abolish Israel.
