Trump’s first 100 days? Who has grown more? Him or us?

Trump’s first 100 days? Who has grown more? Him or us?

A lot has been said already about Trump’s first 100 days. It might be interesting to hear what Trump thinks, and of course, the media is trying to make him look like stupid. Again.

But what does Trump himself have to say? The big “scoop” is that he “thought it would be easier” and this is “more work than in my previous life.” The media and pundits use that as proof of Trump’s idiocy. Well, it is true, Obama did make it look easy.

Obama, how do you make it look so easy? It must be a gift!

What I don’t understand about how supposedly intelligent people view Trump is that it’s like they’ve never seen a typical New Yorker before (no offense to New Yorkers!). It just seems to me that Trump is brusque and brash, much like a stereotypical person you might find in the Northeast (yes, I get most of information about this from TV!). But living in the south for as long as I have, there are distinct differences between natives of the area, transplants to the area from the northeast, tourists from all over, and me. I am originally from Northern California, and let me tell you, I had a lot to learn about how to interact with people when I moved south. Why aren’t these regional differences recognized and attributed to Trump? Obama gets pass, because he’s cool. So cool.

Yoga, did I mention I do yoga?

These elites keep wanting to pretend they are so refined that they have never seen such atrocious behavior. But really, they have just forgotten where they came from. Or are embarrassed about it. Trump doesn’t get embarrassed. And why should he? – go into things with an open heart and an open mind, do your best, and that’s all you can do. That’s how I view Trump operating. He’s not much of a chess player at all in my mind. People are so flummoxed because they’ve never seen a politician act that way.

Master Politicians. Act this way.

Well, keep up the ridicule. That’s how you get more Trump. Because when you ridicule Trump, you ridicule the rest of us too. That’s actually how most people operate – without hidden motive. His supporters and those who are not rabidly negative toward him see him much differently. He is a tell-it-like-it-is in-your-face kind of guy. That has worked for him for seventy years, and while his immediate environment has changed, it actually seems to be working out mostly in his favor right now too.

O: How’s that working for you, Donald?                T: Tremendous! Thanks for asking, Barry.

Washington, D.C., is certainly a different ballgame, so the only honest thing Trump can be cited for not understanding is not realizing exactly how corrupt, double-dealing, and back-stabbing that place really is. His naiveté lies in thinking working hard and doing a good job carries the day. Yes, he’s had to learn a new language and how to maneuver with people who don’t play by the same rules. What’s wrong with that?

I make my best deals on the golf course. Just like that drive. Did you see that? It was beautiful.

If there’s one thing that I was impressed with during the campaign it was that I saw actual growth in Trump. Of all the candidates, he truly was Most Improved. That gave me much more confidence about his presidency. I observe him listening and learning, and that is something I can get on board with.

I can’t get on on board with this follow through though.

So go ahead with the intellectual mocking, if it makes haters feel superior. (They have been out of practice for eight years, despite having a lot to work with). But while the media and others deride Trump for whatever he’s done or hasn’t done in the last 100 days, it’s pretty clear that they haven’t changed a bit.

“… more work than my previous life”

That says it all. I think Trump must be perplexed by the complexity of the dozens of issues that land on his desk everyday. Well Donald, you asked for the job and now you have it. My friendly advice is cut down on your tweets and play less golf. You will be surprised by the amount of time you save which can be put to use concentrating on your work load.
