I swear the Democrats thought they’d get President Trump to cave on the DHS funding issue. Nope. Instead he’s going to issue an emergency order that will ensure TSA agents get paid. ASAP.

President Trump said on Thursday that he would sign an emergency order to pay Transportation Security Administration agents who have gone without compensation for weeks, as senators struggled to strike a homeland security funding deal that could end the intensifying crisis at airports.

Mr. Trump did not provide any details, but the administration was expected to use funds provided to the Department of Homeland Security last year as part of his tax cut and domestic policy law, according to a senior administration official and another person familiar with the plan, both of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe it.

No executive order, emergency or otherwise, would be required to access those funds, which were enacted into law last summer, but Mr. Trump appeared eager to claim credit for releasing them. It was not clear why he had waited more than five weeks after the Department of Homeland Security was shuttered to direct that they be used to pay T.S.A. employees.

Evidently, President Trump, instead of trying to negotiate with Democrats and a few idiot Republicans, should’ve just issued that emergency order five weeks ago. Are you serious right now? Oh wait, it’s the New York Times – a Democrat shill, so of course they will somehow try to make this Trump’s fault. 

Never mind the fact that we have Democrats ON RECORD telling us the pain is the point, and they don’t give a rat’s behind about whether lowly TSA agents, federal fire, FEMA, or the Coast Guard get paid. I’m looking at you Jason Crow.

One of ICE’s key jobs is to deport those here illegally (because they already broke the law entering this country), AND to deport those who commit other crimes such as murdering Rachel Morin, Lakin Riley, and Sheridan Gorman. But Jason said the Democrats quiet narrative out loud. They don’t WANT ICE to do their mandated job. They want ICE to stand down and let criminal illegal aliens run amok. 

Thus, they have stonewalled DHS funding for weeks now. Which has led to insane lines at airports across the country. 

The security issues are very real and valid. Unless you are a Democrat.

For them, it’s all about hating whatever President Trump and the Administration are doing…and who cares if Americans don’t get paid for awhile? I swear, Democrats seriously think that all TSA agents will vote for them even though the Democrats were the cause of their losing their income for weeks and months! 

This current shutdown is looking like it will be the longest in history. Which is a VERY BAD look for the Democrats. 

TSA officers missed their first full paychecks in mid-March, leading many to call out of work. Callout rates for TSA officers have exceeded 11% nationally, with rates at some airports passing 40%.

The high callout rates have led to lines at some airports taking more than four hours. Trump sent ICE agents to airports to help TSA earlier this week. Unlike TSA officers, ICE agents continue to receive paychecks during the partial shutdown as a result of funding from the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill that Trump signed into law last year.

That’s the key. The BBB funded ICE. This newest bill that the Democrats are whining about doesn’t involve ICE funding directly. But it does directly impact the Coast Guard, federal firefighting, and TSA. 

Democrats argue the GOP proposals have not gone far enough at putting guardrails on officers from ICE, Customs and Border Protection and other federal agencies who are engaged in the immigration sweeps, particularly after the deaths of two Americans protesting the actions in Minneapolis.

They want federal agents to wear identification, remove their face masks and refrain from conducting raids around schools, churches or other sensitive places. Democrats have also pushed for an end of administrative warrants, insisting that judges sign off before agents search people’s homes or private spaces.

Rather than do what Republicans have offered, which is fund TSA and other entities, while deferring the ICE issues to a whole other bill, Democrats have dug in their heels and are totally fine with letting people go unpaid. People whose salary averages $50,000 a year!

The average pay for Congressmen and Senators is $174,000. As Rick Scott points out in his X post above, AZ Democrat Ruben Gallego has whined several times about how he can’t afford to go without pay because of his mortgage. So this offer of his is extraordinarily hypocritical. 

Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) unveiled legislation on Tuesday that would give Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employees who have been forced to work without pay during the shutdown a 10 percent bonus when the agency reopens.

Those TSA agents who miss a mortgage payment will see an immediate hit on their credit. 

As for those in the cheap seats who ask why President Trump didn’t do this earlier, there are legal issues involved AND he was trying to get Congress to work it out, which is the way our government was designed. 

But now, with the Democrats refusing to budge because narrative and reasons, President Trump is stepping in to ensure TSA agents and many others will get paid.

And yet, there are those in the cheap seats who will continue stepping on the biggest rakes they can find.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) says he doesn’t want to give a penny more to TSA. Says they’re “dragging women by the hair, throwing them into unmarked vans… have committed public executions.”

Swalwell is so dumb he doesn’t even realize he means to say ICE.

Democrats crafted this funding issue around ICE, who was never financially impacted by their tantrums.
