President Trump has finally run out of patience and red lines. The help has arrived.

It had become increasingly clear that Iran wasn’t taking President Trump or the ongoing talks seriously. The only question was, how much longer would the Iranian diplomats and mullahs continue to jerk everyone’s chain. The waiting is now over. This morning, the United States and Israel began strikes on Iran.

A joint attack on Iran by Israel and the United States on Saturday morning had an “element of surprise,” according to Fox News Chief National Security Correspondent Jennifer Griffin.

The attack was carried out just after 9 a.m. local time in daylight.

Griffin said she believes U.S. and Israeli officials wanted Iran to see the strikes and what was being targeted.

She said she expects more military activity over the next few hours.

Reports immediately started to come in that Ayatollah Khamenei’s home in Tehran was hit with missiles.

President Trump then confirmed the strikes on Truth Social and X in a video.

“A short time ago, the United States military began major combat operations in Iran,” Trump said in a video posted to Truth Social at 2:30 a.m. “Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime, a vicious group of very hard, terrible people.”

The president urged members of Iran’s military to lay down their arms and called on Iranians to topple the hardline regime that has controlled the country since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

“Bombs will be dropping everywhere. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take; this will be probably your only chance for generations,” Trump said. “America is backing you with overwhelming strength and devastating force. Now is the time to seize control of your destiny.”

American embassies in Israel and Qatar issued shelter-in-place orders for U.S. citizens in those countries.

The Department of War has dubbed these strikes “Operation Epic Fury,” but Prime Minister Netanyahu has dubbed this joint strike “Operation Lion’s Roar” or “Operation Roaring Lion,” depending on the translation.

My brothers and sisters, citizens of Israel, just an hour ago, Israel and the United States embarked on an operation to remove the existential threat posed by the terrorist regime in Iran.

I thank our great friend, President Donald Trump, for his historic leadership.

For 47 years, the Ayatollahs’ regime has chanted “Death to Israel,” “Death to America.” It has spilled our blood, murdered many Americans, and massacred its own people.

This murderous terrorist regime must not be allowed to arm itself with nuclear weapons that would enable it to threaten all of humanity.

Our joint operation will create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to take their fate into their own hands.

The time has come for all parts of the Iranian people—the Persians, Kurds, Azeris, Baloch, and Ahwazis—to cast off the yoke of tyranny and bring freedom and peace-loving values to Iran.

I call on you, citizens of Israel, to heed the instructions of the Home Front Command. In the coming days, during Operation “Lion’s Roar,” we will all be called upon to show patience and strength of spirit.

Together we will stand, together we will fight, and together we will ensure the eternity of Israel.

These are the early hours of the strike, so the targets and the impact are currently unclear in the fog of war. Iran is reportedly trying to cut internet access and cell/text services, although they have done that already. The exiled former crown prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, is calling on Iranians to collapse the Islamic Republic, and asking President Trump to be as strategic as possible to spare civilian lives. And as Congress is notified, reactions are starting to come in.

Pray for the people of Iran, that they seize this chance to overthrow the regime that has oppressed and controlled them for decades. Pray for our military, and Israel’s, as they carry out this mission, which is not going to be a hit-and-run, but a longer air campaign against designated targets within Iran.
