The Rise of Accountability Culture. Be Thankful It’s Only Databases

Charlie Kirk was brutally assassinated five days ago in front of thousands of students. It was brutal, bloody, shocking and yet there has been no violence from the right. Vigils, not riots. Prayer, not looting. But that’s not enough for the Left.

Understand, almost immediately after Kirk’s assassination, even as an orgy of celebration from the Left exploded on social media, we’ve witnessed Democrats trying to tone-police, lecture and scold any display of anger over a young husband and father executed in front of his family and friends. This is just an example of Democrat perfidy. Behold Senator Chris Murphy (D)

Pay attention. Something dark might be coming.

The murder of Charlie Kirk could have united Americans to confront political violence. Instead, Trump and his anti-democratic radicals look to be readying a campaign to destroy dissent.

You know what is familiar about this language? This is the language of spousal abuse. “I told you I was sorry I beat you up. Calm down and shut up before you make me beat you again.” Whether it is Democrat politicians or ghouls on social media going after Erika Kirk because she’s not mourning the way they want her to or the ‘can’t we all get along’ faux concern trolling, it comes down to realizing that the Left’s hegemony over the American culture has been so pervasive they have lost all sense of proportionality and appropriateness. So much so as people who eagerly took to filming themselves celebrating Charlie’s murder for public display are now gobsmacked to find themselves unemployed.

In the days since the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, workers in a variety of industries have been fired for their comments on his death.

An aside: it isn’t over comments about Charlie. I’m tired of this line of bovine excrement from media — no one is being fired for saying “I disagree with Charlie’s position on abortion.” THESE are the “comments” that should alarm employers.

Is this the kind of person you want teaching your kids? Can this guy who looks at Charlie Kirk as a “violent fascist” who got “what he deserved” ever be trusted with the children who come from religious and/or Republican families? Why should people like this keep their job?

A twisted New York school cop has been removed from her post after cracking jokes online about Charlie Kirk’s assassination while appearing to celebrate his murder.

School Resource Officer Tanisha Blanche was yanked from her job at Somers Intermediate School in Somers in Westchester County after her sick comments regarding Wednesday’s tragic shooting of the 31-year-old conservative influencer at Utah Valley University, school officials and sources said.

“Well that white sniper was over qualified when he put that hole in your neck hunni bunni,” read one of her posts on her Instagram account viewed by The Post, which has since been made private.

Fired? For celebrating political assassination?

The Left is scrambling because they’re confused that the right hasn’t immediately rolled over and showed our bellies in the name of comity. For years the Left’s hegemony has had people feel safe that their views would never be challenged no matter how vile. The Left’s scorched-earth response to even the discovery of a person in their midst was to the right of them (:::cough:::Brendan Eich:::cough:::Gina Carano:::cough:::) has made Republicans the Marrano Jews in places like Hollywood and academia. That bubble has even extended to the workplace as we witness people shocked at their own loss of jobs over public glee at Kirk’s murder.

Wait, what, there’s database of these ghouls? Isn’t that, like, cancel culture? Aren’t we, the fascistic, literal Hitlers, supposed to be against Cancel Culture?

And it’s not just about fairness. This is really about recreating an Accountability Culture that had disappeared in the face of a society full of the Great Unspanked. None of the reprobates dancing on Charlie’s dead body are being arrested or jailed, but employers — especially in service industries — leave themselves wide open to possible lawsuits if they don’t discipline employees.

I’m retired but I spent the better part of the last decade of my career supervising a staff of people including hiring, performance reviews, and any kind of discipline including termination. I received training every year on workplace harassment (racism, sexism, etc). If I had ever ignored even a whiff of someone saying/writing/engaging in behavior — even when they weren’t at work when they did it in a public setting — that fell into those categories, MY job would have been at stake.

I don’t know why Democrats, who felt free to advocate for MURDER, seem to think that was ok and would generate no consequences? That’s some bubble they live in.

The database is also a preservation of how widespread this ugliness is, for the growing gaslight from the Left that is at the “well, it might be happening, but it’s just a few bad actors” stage, right before they deny it completely. You know that’s coming.

Charlie Kirk’s funeral is this coming Sunday. The Left had better just stay away and do some serious reflection. Because, so far, the right is doing little more than exposing their bad behavior and letting employers decide what to do.

Be thankful it has stopped at that.
