No, the featured image for this post isn’t meal selection at the Assisted Living Facility. It is a photo from three years ago when Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell were old and met with that spring chicken Chuck Schumer along with officials from the Ukraine government. Nancy and Mitch have announced intentions not to run again, and many are hoping Chuck decides to retire too. Especially after Chuck let everyone on the Left down by not affecting some magic against Trump in this ridiculous shutdown.
Kentucky Republican Senator Mitch McConnell is 83, falls a lot and spaces out. New York’s Senior Senator Chuck Schumer is only 74, but is an old school Democrat. AOC tried to push her out four years ago, but Nancy was too cagey. Now, Nancy’s heir Hakeem Jeffries is ineffective and Nancy is slipping.
Both Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell require fulltime walking assistance, can barely shuffle forward, and yet they refuse to retire.
Power must be the most intoxicating drug on Earth. They are clinging bitterly to the end! pic.twitter.com/NMpcv9YIwv

Even though the Democrats were gleeful on Tuesday night, they are no longer hopeful. Really done smacked them when the seven Democrats and one Independent ended to shutdown. Mercifully for the rest of us. Youthful Democrats now fume that Chuck can’t hold the caucus together. I was not surprised then when one of the articles in the New York Times was “Age Is the Issue That Democrats Can’t Shut Down”. Oh, shocker. The opening sentences:
The Democratic unity and good feelings after the party’s big election victories lasted under a week.
Now, the knives are back out.
about
As eight Democratic-aligned senators with an average age of about 70 voted with Republicans to end the 40-day government shutdown without the health care concessions Democrats had demanded, the party again convulsed with two questions that have long racked its members: How old is too old and how vigorously should they fight Republicans?
Fight? How with real ideas. OOOOOhh, that’s too hard. How old is too old? Remember, the late Senator Dianne Feinstein.

These people get their stock tips and MEGA war chests. Let’s not even mention handing out money treats like Halloween candy to their buddies. How do you get them to quit? More:
Democrats are still dealing with the fallout of Joe Biden’s calamitous decision to seek re-election at age 79. What has been less discussed is the fallout of having so many members of Congress who are at (and well beyond) retirement age.
And as liberal voters just found out, it’s a lot easier to vote for something your base hates if you’re too old to worry about re-election.Of the Democratic-aligned senators who voted for the shutdown deal, two are not running again: Dick Durbin of Illinois, 80, and Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, 78. Angus King of Maine is 81 and Jacky Rosen of Nevada is 68. Both Tim Kaine of Virginia and Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire are 67.
All would be past 70 years old if they decide to run again when their terms end.
The other “yes” votes were from Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, 61, who represents a state where the Las Vegas tourism industry feared taking a major hit from canceled flights, and from John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, who is just 56 but has already alienated much of his party by embracing Trump on a slew of issues.
Part of the Democrat Party problem is they shouldn’t have demonized Donald Trump so much. All the names they have called him. Jeez. Who thought this Shutdown was a good idea anyway?
Democrats better be careful what they wish for. They will be left with young’uns like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett. Did y’all hear about this?
Left-Wing Radio Host Literally Kisses Feet Of Jasmine Crockett In Deranged Act Of ‘Worship’
Progressive radio personality Stephanie Miller took political fandom to a bizarre new level after boasting online that she literally kissed the shoes of Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett.
Crockett has emerged as a leading voice among Democrats, positioning herself as one of the party’s most aggressive critics of President Donald Trump as she signals she might expand her influence with a potential Senate bid. Her growing prominence reached a high point over the weekend when liberal radio host Miller gushed on social media that she kissed Crockett’s sneakers.
Here the gruesome twosome celebrate:
More:
Miller’s long record of loyalty to the Democratic establishment has been well-documented. She has publicly praised party leaders like former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, saying on social media that she’s “the best there ever was,” alongside a photo of the two smiling together. She also joined Hollywood activists at the No Kings Rally.
Miss Miller never tried to kiss Nancy’s feet. Maybe the Democrats should do better filling the pipeline and nurturing the young ones along.
The Democrat hated Trump brought in all kinds of ages. Sounds like a plan to me.

Grifters, they are, enriched when supposedly serving the people…while the people, real people struggled during their terms of service. Good riddance, I say.
