The Myth of “Voluntary Participation” in Obamacare Inspections

The Myth of “Voluntary Participation” in Obamacare Inspections

We are already aware of the Obamacare inspections that we will be subject to.  Always eager to fake some non-partisan logic, Snopes stepped in recently and tried to undo some of the damage, but anyone who can read can see what the shills at Snopes apparently missed: this little nugget…

“The relevant section of the PPACA specifically states that MIECHV grant recipients must provide ‘assurances that the entity will establish procedures to ensure that the participation of each eligible family in the program is voluntary.'”

Let’s think about this for a moment.  All they have to do is say  that they will establish procedures to ensure the participation of each eligible family is voluntary.  It’s classic wordsmithing done by some of the slimiest folks around.  Thankfully, we have a little something called Statement Analysis, which will help us see what’s really going on.  Allow me to explain to you what this statement actually means.

They do not need to actually establish procedures, just say that they will.

They do not actually need to follow the procedures, just say that they will at some point have some.

They do not need to establish procedures for all families, just the ones they deem eligible.

The best part? Look at how that sentence is worded…they will ensure voluntary participation.  Kind of like how the federal government ensures states’ voluntary participation in federal programs by withholding highway money.

In other words, they aren’t saying that they won’t come into your home uninvited, they’re only saying that at some point, they’ll make an empty promise to come up with some procedure that will make your participation voluntary.

They are telling you in no uncertain terms what they will do, and yet people hear it through the filter of their own worldview.  “Our government wouldn’t actually invade our homes!” they think.  “Our government wants us to be happy and healthy!”  Wrong.  In fact, I’m not sure how you could be any more wrong.  The government wants one thing, and one thing only: Control.

Do not think for one second that the government will not come to your door and demand entry.  They are in every other facet of your life already.  The real question is, what will you do on that day?  Will you step aside and allow that final violation?  Will you refuse entry?  How far are you willing to go to defend and protect your rights?

It’s a question you need to answer within yourself a lot sooner than later.

That time is already here. After the Boston marathon bombing people stepped aside and just let law enforcement walk through their homes. I lived in New England for many years! This did not surprise me. Wake up America! Great job, Victory girls!

I wonder how this regulatory effort interacts with Castle Doctrine laws regarding to self defense in the home, or with 18 USC 242, Deprivation of rights under color of law.

I will always oppose Obamacare. It is an attempt by Progressives to turn our Nation into a Socialist country. By being able to control healthcare all Americans receive, they know that gives them total control over us.

It seems to me that now is the time for some civil disobedience. We need to, at least, try to resolve this conflict without violence; if for no other reason, we need to show, like the Founders in the Declaration of Independence, that we tried every other reasonable option before we accepted the need for violence.

Too many people seem to prefer violence as a first option. I know that that is mostly posturing, but it’s unbecoming of a free people who respect human life. I am also quite sure that those most willing to turn to violence have no idea of the destruction a civil war would inflict on a modern, industrial or really post-industrial country, or of the ruins a winner would inherit. I don’t think peace at the price of chains is worth having, if it comes to that, but I think that a real effort- with the sacrifice in time, effort, money necessary- to preserve the nation without violence must be the first effort. After all, we haven’t tried it yet. People have been fat dumb and happy- and apathetic- for a long time. If they’re starting to wake up now, maybe we can still do it at the polls. If enough will not wake up enough to vote for freedom instead of bread and circuses- then the time for violence may yet come. The next two elections- if we get two- will tell the difference.
