The French have amazing art, culture and food. They basically suck at everything else. I wouldn’t give you two francs for their politics or warfighting abilities. Sure wouldn’t want to be a citizen of France. In about three days’ time, France has continued its string of bad actions with President Emmanuel Macron decreeing that his country will recognize Palestine as a state and France dragging the U.S. – E.U. trade deal. Two hundred plus years of being wrong unbroken.

We need only go back the start of The French Revolution in 1789 where about 40,000 people died through various forms of execution and illness were a scourge. They think they know everything, so they paid no attention to how the North Americans ran the Revolutionary War. On the British and American sides about 21,000 people died. It was bloody, ugly and with no redeeming character like a new country.

The French haven’t changed all that much since the 1790’s. Seven years ago, a French court ordered a psych evaluation for Rightish candidate Marine Le Pen.

Then, came World War II and The French were shameful in their collaboration with the Nazis to save their own skins.

According to the Associated Press:

France’s bold decision to recognize the state of Palestine could help to shift conversations about the future of the Middle East, even if it’s unlikely to have an immediate impact for people in Gaza or on Israel’s war with Hamas.

In a world where nations are again using military force to impose their will on others — notably Russia in Ukraine, and the U.S. and Israel with their recent strikes on Iran and its nuclear facilities — French President Emmanuel Macron is attempting to strike a blow for diplomacy and the idea that war rarely brings peace.

Oof! These people. Capitulation and collaboration are not diplomacy, twits.

And, now the French are pouting in their pate because they don’t like the U.S.-E.U. trade deal:

he French prime minister, François Bayrou, said the EU had capitulated to Donald Trump’s threats of ever-increasing tariffs, as he labelled the framework deal struck in Scotland on Sunday as a “dark day” for the EU.

“It is a dark day when an alliance of free peoples, brought together to affirm their common values and to defend their common interests, resigns itself to submission,” Bayrou wrote on X on Monday.

The French are such fascists. The European Union is not an ideological suicide pact. Notice that Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni doesn’t comment because she needs to see more details:

The high-level French criticism, and Emmanuel Macron’s silence since the deal was signed between Trump and the European Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen, shows potential divisions as Brussels seeks to get approval for the deal from member states.

Merz hailed the deal, which was clinched in a ballroom at Trump’s golf resort in Scotland, saying it avoided “needless escalation in transatlantic trade relations” and averted a potentially damaging trade war.

Meloni welcomed the deal, saying it had avoided “potentially devastating” consequences.

Speaking at a summit in Ethiopia, she said a “trade escalation between Europe and the US would have had unpredictable and potentially devastating consequences”, while adding that Rome would have to “study the details” of the deal.

The French get it wrong every time. Too arrogant to learn…again.
