Is the sound of the Democratic Party panicking in advance of the mid-term elections. After years of doing their best to cast Donald Trump in the role of evil incarnate and all conservatives as his demon servants, the DNC faces a crisis of epic proportions. The young voters they enticed into the party two years ago, those who swallowed the pill offered by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her ilk, are now disenchanted with the People’s Party. Pelosi, Schumer and company are running out of smoke and mirrors to keep these young voters engaged. Add in the outstandingly abysmal job stumbling and fumbling Joe Biden has done and, well, the DNC is finding it difficult to maintain the illusion that it is the “one true party”.
