Martha’s Vineyard Locals are Bored with Obamas

President Obama and his family are enjoying their sixth late-summer vacation at Martha’s Vineyard, and the locals are largely responding with . . . meh.

No more ice cream confections such as “Barack My World,” or “Magnificent Malia Milkshake” and “Sashalicious Smoothie,” in honor of the Obama daughters. While there are still those who take pictures of the Presidential motorcade (over twelve vehicles in all) as they head out to Farm Neck Golf Club, the crowds are smaller, and the gawkers are fewer.

Obama himself seems less interested in connecting with the 100,000-plus people who crowd the island during the summer months, preferring to remain with the First Family at their rented vacation home, a seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom, $22.5 million sanctuary.
