Sunday Morning Cafe Cocktails

Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.

Happy Sunday, dear friends! Now past mid-January and 2026 shows no signs of slowing down. While Tampon Tim dips a dainty toe into the insurrection pool (and little fluffer Frey whines), the attempts of the Left to revisit the heady 2020 summer of Mostly Peaceful city burnings are not really going well. So let’s dig into a brunch of waffles, beignets, eggs anyway you want and mounds of crispy bacon. Lots of chilled champagne as always. Pass the flutes and let’s get to it. L’Chaim!!

Another walking stereotype …

Young? Check. White? Check. Female? Check. Liberal? Check. Vocal fry? Check. Cluster B Personality? Check.

Argh. I love my champagne, but I need a dry gin martini, three garlic-stuffed olives, STAT.

That dashcams and bodycams (which much of the Left demanded) have become ubiquitous for law enforcement, and has really put to lie so much of the claims of police brutality, you have to snicker at the Left’s conundrum when it comes to their street cos-play.

Another entry in the “Who Would’ve Guessed” file

Seems like pro-euthanasia Canada has developed a suicide-to-organ donation pipeline.

U.S. Deputy HHS Secretary Jim O’Neill said that Canada’s permissive assisted‑suicide regime has “crossed ethical boundaries” by helping drive up organ donation rates from people who die via euthanasia.

O’Neill and Health Resources and Services Administration chief Thomas Engels have said that they are trying to revive trust in the American Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network after multiple troubling reports of organs nearly being harvested from live patients in several states, including Kentucky and New Jersey.

But O’Neill said that Canada’s program was uniquely problematic compared to even the most egregious stories in the U.S.

Don’t get sick in Canada. Easier — don’t travel to Canada at all.

Woke destroys everything

Some wag deemed it Star Trek: 90210, but as an OG fan from the 60s, I’m convinced that this multi-million-dollar trainwreck was no accident.

More blue state fraud.

Two Brooklyn scammers pleaded guilty on Thursday to defrauding a whopping $68 million from the state’s controversial Medicaid home care program by paying health care kickbacks for services they didn’t provide at three Big Apple businesses.

Manal Wasef and Elaine Antao, both 46, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit health care fraud for referring Medicaid recipients to two Brooklyn social adult day cares and a home health company in exchange for illegal kickbacks and bribes, the US Department of Justice announced on Thursday.

Just wait until someone starts peeling the rotten onion that is California.

Yes, dears, cats again. What can I say? I’m easily amused.

Your Sunday smile

This is the neighbor you want to live next to:

A mother in Middle River, Maryland is calling her neighbor a hero after his quick thinking helped save her family from a devastating house fire. (snip)

neighbor Steven Angelini heard the commotion and ran toward the burning home. Seeing Ashley at the window, he immediately positioned himself below and told her to drop the kids.

“He stood under me and he kept saying, ‘Drop them Ash, I got them. Drop them, I’m going to catch them. I’m going to catch them, just drop them,'” Gubernat said.

Steven safely caught both children, and within moments, other neighbors arrived with a ladder so Ashley could climb down to safety as well.

Uh-oh, look at the time! I so enjoy our time together. Go enjoy the rest of Sunday and let’s get together again next week. Cheers!
