there’s a new political 527 group thats bringing independent filmmakers together to create edgy online film and video content to support the democratic party, its issues and candidates. their goal? “to ensure they win large, viral internet audiences.” um, that’s code for the youth vote.
here is the first of 12 videos to be released during the election season:
this is part of an overarching campaign to continue the enfusion of young people into the democratic party by making it seem cool and hip to be one while the republicans are portrayed as old, stale, and definately un-hip. these filmakers also want to portray being a republican as something to be ashamed of — like hiding our candidate in a drawer? good grief.
so from bongs to politically “monogamous” messages — clever maybe but is this what picking a president in these times is all about?
