one of my cotillion sisters, em, and the sam adams alliance, worked really hard on this video called ‘health rations and you’ — it’s just awesome! please take the time to watch it and use it on your own blog if you can.

heathcare in America, 2015: thanks obama!

‘The Health Administration Bureau: dedicated to ensuring that all Americans, regardless of age (where appropriate) and need (where appropriate), receive adequate health care.’

  • HAHAhahahahaaaaaa…..I Love it! Sweet day to you!

  • micky says:

Here we go again, just like with the stimulus they’re gonna try to rail road this one thru without anyone getting a good look at it while slapping on every damn concession they can think of.

“Its urgent ! Hurry ! No no no dont bother reading it ! If we dont pass this POS bill immediately half the country will die !”

As each day goes by I lose more and more respect for this guy. What started out as me simply disagreeing with almost all his policies has turned into a sincere concern for his sanity and a fear for our country I’ve never experienced before.

Watch for all the half assed explanations coming up as to how were going to pay for this, Hes gonna tax the crap out of everyone, so there goes that promise.
But watch, I’ll bet he buffers his bullsh*t with some logic were supposed to swallow that the payback of good health will be far greater than any tax break we could ever get.

“I know, I’m sorry about breaking that campaign promise to ya’ll, but just think of how much more productive we’ll all be with good health care. And with productivity comes prosperity. All this will eventually pay for itself and bla bla bla….”

I’ll tell you this much, looking at other countries and whats happening now, I’m glad I got sick when I did.
I LOVE MY HEALTH CARE !!!!!

  • Stacie says:

I seeeeeee. I suppose it’s fine with people like you that there are millions of people including the young, the elderly, the sick who have no way for health care? You could care less that this country has a moral obligation to take care of those less fortunate? I get so sick of the richy republican way of life that says “screw you scum” to anyone who doesn’t have a lot of money in the bank. Well screw you host and your rich republican friends here because whether you like it or not, Barack will make sure that the least among us are taken care of!

  • PenniePan says:

Not all Americans are rich Republicans who have first class health coverage. In fact that number is shrinking rapidly thanks to their stupidity and that of their leaders! *snort*

  • Ken says:

    Oh you’re so noble Stacie!!

Believe me, Republicans get sick of hearing the “Conservatives hate the poor!” whine that the left has constantly going. If you really think government intervention is the right thing for health care then you haven’t been paying attention.

Take Canada, that place that most liberals will tout when talking of socialized medicine. If you have a small injury or a minor illness then its great, however, there is a reason that Canadians come across the border for serious illnesses and injuries.

“Barack will make sure that the least among us are taken care of!”

Not really, Stacie, all his plan will do is bring down the level of health care for those who have had insurance. That is how the liberals have always done things. It will not increase the level of quality for the poor, just bring down everyone elses. This is how liberals sleep at night thinking they are “helping” the poor.
You people really are amazing with your attitudes. You live in your world of unicorns and lollipops, having no clue how things work in the real world.

    Observe:

    http://hotair.com/archives/2009/07/08/hoyer-no-one-would-vote-for-obamacare-if-they-read-the-bill/

“House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said Tuesday that the health-care reform bill now pending in Congress would garner very few votes if lawmakers actually had to read the entire bill before voting on it.”

Straight from the horses, or is it asses, mouth. If people read the bill, they wouldn’t vote for it. These are the people you helped elect, Stacie.

    Be proud.

  • Ken says:

    Here’s more. Happy reading neo-socialists:

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/07/16/house-dems-votes-health/

“The director of the Congressional Budget Office issued a warning to Democrats Thursday that their health care proposals would raise costs, not lower them.

One day after a Senate panel approved its version of the health care reform plan, the first committee to do so, CBO Director Doug Elmendorf gave a dose of bad medicine to a separate committee.

Asked by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Kent Conrad, D-N.D., whether costs would be lowered — also known as “bending the curve” — Elmendorf responded: “The curve is being raised.”

Ahhhhhh, the curve is being raised. What a liar Conrad is, of course with a “D” after his name that’s not saying much. Costs will not be lowered, they will be RAISED.

Understand, Pennie? Understand, Stacie? Try actually researching a subject before you ramble on about your self-righteousness. It really is getting quite boring.

  • kate says:

    stacie and pennie

you are both terribly naive aren’t you? so lets play a game.

say The iOne’s health boondoggle passes because of the overwhelming #’s of democrats in congress including the filabuster-proof senate. will obama, his big arse wife, his MIL and his daughters will be on ‘obamacare’? what about kennedy who is fighting brain cancer… will he be on obamacare? or pelosi? or name-your-democrat-politician? ding, ding, ding. time’s up. what’s your answer?

it’s no. they just want you and me to be on it. that game sucks doesn’t it?

  • micky says:

Stacie, you mind telling me where in my comment or Kates post there was anything that lead you to such a dumb conclusion ?

First of all, its not the governments or anyones obligation to provide anyone with health care, its not a right.
Secondly, you without a doubt dont understand that this is not about the “millions of people including the young, the elderly, the sick who have no way for health care”.
Its about the government trying to convince us that the present system is so far beyond repair that the only option is to take on the system your president says we absolutley must have only so he can get you by what gonads you’ve got left so you’ll vote for him in 2012.

How bout this, screw you too, okay ? You know nothing of Kate, her, or my friends to the point where you can run off the mouth accusing us of not caring. Its a a fact that republicans, conservatives and christians are by far the most giving and charitable group on this planet.
I’m not rich. I busted my ass to get where I’m at and nobody gave me a damn thing on the way up so I could have the coverage I’ve got now.
This country has no “MORAL” obligation to its citizens other than to keep it safe and afford us the rights we need to achieve independent success.
You want get up on your moral high horse and pay for a bunch of 28 year olds on the SCHIPS program that make 60,000.00 a year so they can have insurance …fine ! Be my guest ! But do it with your own damn money ! I already pay bookoo taxes just to give medical to people who dont belong in this country or those who think its their right to have me pay for their hospital bills.

” Barack will make sure that the least among us are taken care of!”

Why dont you not wait for him and do something about it yourself ?

Pathetic. Instead of trying to make the system in place more efficient and affordable for everyone you instead expect someone else to hold your hand, do it for you, at everyone elses expense.
This whole thing is based on the same scheme the dems have been using for decades now where they trap potential voters into a system of enititlements. Where they’re left with no choice but to vote for the system in place guranteeing votes for dems in the next election. They could care less if any gets sick or not, as long as they live long enough to vote in the next election.
Bait, switch, throw away the key.
That key would be our free capitalistic enterprise which is being attacked on about 3 fronts right now. Health care, green bullsh*t, corporate welfare

  • Jane says:

I suspect quite a few Republicans will have separate health care as well! Barack is allowing a private option in his plan for those who prefer to keep what they have. Don’t you understand that not only does this help those who could never afford health care but it also cleans up a very corrupt system that is bloated with HMO’s that get rich while Americans get worse care.

That video was just normal Republican scare tactics. No humor there.

  • kate says:

    aw jane…
you didn’t think the fake monkey fingers typing was funny??? c’mon. that was great and you know it.

  • micky says:

Jane, private options will be squeezed out by a fed with supposed unlimited funding.
Keep what you got ? Yeah, and pay a load of taxes to keep it.
Its not as simple as you think

  • Ken says:

“Don’t you understand that not only does this help those who could never afford health care but it also cleans up a very corrupt system that is bloated with HMO’s that get rich while Americans get worse care.”

Apparently reading comprehension isn’t one of your strong points. Did you even bother reading the links Jane? It’s absolutely unreal how naive and ignorant some of the libs are. It will bankrupt the economy and drag health care down, what about that don’t you understand?

  • I hardly ever pimp my own blog on another person’s blog. But in this case I am because I just wrote a lengthy post on this subject. Lots of research went into it – including statistics from the CBO that completely refutes the claim that 46 million Americans don’t have access to health care.

Kate, my apologies for the personal linkage. I just don’t have the energy to excerpt myself here. This whole subject has me quite frightened for the future of this country.

  • kate says:

kris please pimp whenever you want. 😉

  • PenniePan says:

Oh brother! You rich whiney ass Republicans would literally piss yourselves if we all paid for healthcare for the underpriveledged. What is wrong with you people? Were you dropped on your heads repeatedly as babies? Were you rejected in love repeatedly? I thought conservatives were suppose to be compassionate. Guess not. And Kris you seem like someone who is quite capable of taking care of your own health concerns so please drop the drama.

  • Jesse says:

A question for you democrats on this blog: why won’t the democrats let us see what’s in their healthcare bill? The answer must be because they don’t want us to see how terrible it really is. I agree with Kris in New England, it must be a real pile of crap that’s bad for all of us.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/16/us/politics/16health.html?_r=1

  • Creep says:

With any luck at all, this POS legislation will die with the Blue Dogs who desparately need cover, by stepping away from Obama, in their very conservative districts. Keep the pressure on your legislators though! Keep calling them and be very clear in your displeasure.

  • micky says:

Pennie, how is it that someone can miss the point as often as you do ?
This is not really about who cares more or less about less fortunate’s. Its about an unnecessary system that will reach into all areas of our economy and destroy it if approved.
Its about having a sustainable system for everyone that will last and not this flimsy ass overcomplicated under budgeted over expensed quick fix at the hands of those who are already being taxed to death.

From your comments in the past I would say that you’re the last person on earth who can use the word “love” and be taken seriously at the same time.
You just want this system thrown out there as half ass as it is so you can jump up and down and do your little victory dance while feeling so great about yourself.

Yeah, we are compassionate. We are actually the most giving and charitable people on the face of the planet. And we use “OUR” money and resources to help others and don’t go laying guilt trips on anyone with a little more than us.

What good is a public health care system if there’s no more working tax payers to supply the revenues to support such a system ?
Have you looked at the numbers ?
This POS bill eats itself into non existence while people will die at the hands of its inefficiency.

Why don’t you go read Kris’s post before you open your yap ?

  • Ken says:

“Pennie, how is it that someone can miss the point as often as you do ?”

It’s because all they can do is spit up talking points from the View or Daily Kos or Huffington Post. They never do any research on their own, that’s too much work. Kind of like how most of them haven’t even read the health care bill, but they’re going to vote for it.

People like Pennie are exaclty who the dems are counting on. Lazy, starry eyed Obamazombies who will never question anything he does.

  • Pennie – you tempt me to do something I’ve never done on someone else’s blog – call you what you need to be called. But I respect Kate and the others here too much to do that.

You are deliberately obtuse – you throw around lots of insults to the people here who have the temerity to disagree with you, yet never once do you support them with facts of any kind.

It’s just all about spew spew spew.

If you had bothered to read my own blog post, you’d know that I never said – and never would – that I don’t want to see the underprivileged in this country get access to health care. The fact is – they do now. It’s called an Emergency Room and they use it as their own clinic. It’s not a perfect solution of course.

But to say that there is this huge part of the American population that has zero access to health care is just a lie.

The Congressional Budget Office has studied the statistics frequently quoted by delusional liberals like you – that 46 million Americans are without healthcare. It’s not 46 million – it’s 3 million. The rest are a combination of things that I know you lack the curiosity or intelligence to investigate yourself.

In my post I clearly state that health care in this country needs to be reformed, no question. But not by outlawing private insurance and forcing everyone to a public option that will ration health care.

And yes Pennie – I can take care of myself. The problem is that I have health issues that – under a public option – would deny me health care at some point in the future.

It’s a subtle point that I know is beyond your comprehension. I thank my lucky stars everyday that I wake up as myself, and not as someone like you.

  • micky says:

Really Pennie, why dont you try and step up to the plate for once ?
I read Kris’s post. Its excellent.
If you really are so concerned about these people who cant get medical then why dont you take a more pro active appraoch instead odf supporting what will ruin everything for everyone for the sake of only a few and so you can bang Obamas drum? And instead look into a system that offers mutiple options for everyone at their choice ?
What problem do you have with that ?
