when obama was campaigning, one of his big sticks was to promise to improve the US reputation abroad. did that promise include making us the butt of the world’s jokes?
bowing to the saudi king was horrible. bowing to the emperor of japan – the son of the man who ordered pearl harbor – is unbelievable to me. and according to the report of a japan expert, obama’s subservient bow made him look ridiculous to the japanese:
“Kyodo News is running his appropriate and reciprocated nod and shake with the Empress, certainly to show the president as dignified, and not in the form of a first year English teacher trying to impress with Karate Kid-level knowledge of Japanese customs.

when obama subordinates himself to other world leaders, he’s not mending fences, he’s damaging the prestige of the office he holds and of our country. even the press in other countries are running stories with headlines calling obama the ‘groveller-in-chief’.
to borrow a phrase from one of my favorite people, don rumsfeld, the next 3 years will be a long hard slog.
Yeah, being raised in a predominantly Japanese culture and a as student of Kempo for decades I can tell you this was nothing more than asking for forgiveness or to have your head whacked off.

You’re so right Jaay, it has NOTHING to do with the fact that Obama is completely incompetent and from the looks of it has surrounded himself with people more incompetent than him.
It has NOTHING to do with the fact that Obama has run up more deficit in the first 5 months of his presidency than every other president COMBINED.
It has NOTHING to do with the fact that Obama is too busy playing golf and doing promos for the “George Lopez” show to make a decision on Afghanistan.

Jane says: Courtesy is so lost on conservatives. Barack has an old world charm about him where bowing as a gesture of gracious greeting is fine. If President Clinton had done it would have been silly and if Bush had done it he probably would have fallen over or stumbled or something. Look for something substantive to blog on ok?

courtesy and gracious? no. its a subservient gesture — kind of like when our 15 month golden retriever ella rolls over on her tummy in front of us.

Face it. The idiot is trying just a little too hard to be the new nice guy on the block.
He insults the intelligence of those who can plainly see his dishonest attempts to be what hes not.
Everytime he does something to try and show the world the new face that America is supposed to have it blows up in his. These are world leaders hes dealing with, not beauty queens in some contest and they dont give a rats ass about these ritualistic pageantry rules. They’re some of the most well seasoned business men in the world and have no respect for such a kiss ass who tries so hard to appease everyone that he patronizes their culture and makes an ass out of himself in the process.
Its no different than when Hillary decides to pull out her southern drawl everytime shes below the Mason Dixon line
I loved it when people tell the blog host what to blog about. Why is it those people don’t just get their own blog to spew their venom in their own bubble of idiocy?
Leave it to a liberal to be invited to dinner and then tell the host what to put on the menu.
