After all we hear about the evil nature of guns and how guns kill people you would be surprised to know that mass killings can be executed by any other tool or weapon. Guns are quick, and largely more effective in their ability to create devastating effects, but they do not kill people without a person operating them. The story of a masked man in Sweden entering a school today and killing one teacher and injuring another teacher and two students – age 11 and 15 – with a sword proves that.

In Trollhattan, Sweden, police say that a man dress in a mask entered the Kronan School, and began attacking people with a sword in the school’s café. As the attack unfolded, students fled the school in terror, and soon after the masked man was shot by police, but is still alive in critical condition. Not much more information is available at this time, but police do not believe this was related to terrorism.

Trollhattan is a small town about 45 miles north of Sweden’s second-largest city, Gothenburg, and the school has students that range in age from six years old all the way up to 15. This story is disturbing and disgusting, but will we see the progressive outrage over this killing like we do when the attacker uses a firearm? Probably not because this doesn’t advance the liberal narrative that guns are inherently evil and dangerous and cause people to go out and murder.

Guns, like the sword this masked nutjob used, are a tool that people use to kill people. In the hands of a criminal, almost any tool can be deadly, but most humans aren’t criminals, and those of us that aren’t deserve the right to defend ourselves from these unlawful scumbags.
