Have you heard this one, friends? Lt. Governor Mark Robinson of North Carolina is running for Governor of the state. The first Black man of a major party to run for Governor of the state. His campaign has been roiled by accusations of racist and gay comments and ugly remarks in chat rooms. Go ahead and smack your forehead against a brick wall, I’ll wait.

“Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?”

The Internet, friends. The Internet is forever. Unless you are a Democrat and then Bleach Bit might work.

Lt. Governor Mark Robinson is a great speaker with an inspiring story. I first saw him two and a half years ago at CPAC 2022 and found him a much stronger person than Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Now, he is running for Governor of North Carolina and was running a good race. Working hard. And, then along came the Black Nazi. Feck. From The Huffington Post:

Robinson began denying the details of the CNN report before it even came out. On Thursday, he preemptively recorded a video to say he wasn’t dropping out of his race over CNN’s “salacious, tabloid trash.” But he’s had a hard time convincing fellow Republicans that the report is nonsense, given how thoroughly CNN’s reporters researched who was behind this username making vile comments on the porn site Nude Africa. Reporters linked the username directly to many of Robinson’s biographical details and his shared email addresses.

I don’t know how “thoroughly CNN’s reporters research” this information. I got a threatening comment on a site once, suspected who it was and traced the ip address to the street where I knew the threatener lived. But I am better than CNN. More from HuffPo:

North Carolina Republican gubernatorial nominee Mark Robinson lashed out Monday against “the false lies” about him in a CNN investigative report Thursday that uncovered years of disturbing comments he made in a forum on a porn website.

Except then, in the same breath, he suggested maybe those comments were really by him.

During a campaign event, his first since the CNN report triggered a mass exodus of staff on his campaign, Robinson, the state’s lieutenant governor, vowed to take legal action against CNN over its story. Among other things, the report said Robinson referred to himself as a “black Nazi,” described being sexually aroused by secretly watching women in public showers and called himself a “perv” who likes pornography with transgender people in it ― a sharp contrast to his present-day transphobic rhetoric.

Feck, feck, feckity feck.

The Daily Beast claims that not only has Robinson lost most of his staff, but he turned down IT help to discover where this came from. Feckkkkkk.

Mark Robinson, North Carolina’s embattled Republican gubernatorial candidate, rejected offers from tech experts to investigate the CNN report detailing his alleged history of posting racist and bizarre comments to an online pornography forum, according to a new report published Monday.

The revelation comes on the same day the sitting lieutenant governor threatened legal action against the cable network.

On Monday, local station WRAL reported that Robinson initially rejected multiple offers from information technology experts to investigate the online posts. Sources familiar with the campaign told the Raleigh news station that Robinson’s refusal sowed doubt among his campaign’s ranks and likely played a role in a number of top staffers’ recent decisions to quit.

Robinson is dealing with the fallout after several campaign aides resigned on Sunday—including campaign manager Chris Rodriguez, deputy campaign manager Jason Rizk, finance director Heather Whillier, and general consultant Conrad Pogorzelski III.

Oh feck. We know Eric Holder vetted Tim Walz, but did he vett Mark Robinson too? If Robinson is innocent, take the damn IT help. Grrr. President Donald Trump’s EPIC Veep pick, Senator J.D. Vance came to Robinson’s defense:

Standing ovation for J.D. Vance. The Republican Governors’ Association has cut off funding for Robinson. His staff has bolted. Fine, let the people of North Carolina decide.

And one final note. It takes some crust for anyone in the media to criticize the media habits of anyone else. They all push to child trans status symbols on us. Like this:

Not only were the host pervs excited, they had a whole audience of pervs applauding. That poor child did not look happy. Leave our kids alone. And, clean up your own house before you criticize anyone else’s housekeeping.

If Mark Robinson is not guilty of these internet faux pas, he should sue CNN.

I am not backing down, the future of North Carolina depends on it.…
Well, that denial isn’t a great one. “This is awful because you need me” is not really a denial or apology. It’s more of an “I’m too important for you to believe this stuff.” Not good.

If Robinson is innocent, take the damn IT help.
    Yep.

    This looks really bad.
