This is the best story I’ve read this morning:
Nearly half of Nevadans have had enough of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid as the powerful Democrat heads into his re-election campaign, a new Las Vegas Review-Journal poll finds.
About a third of the state’s voters would re-elect Reid if the 2010 election were held today, according to the poll, but 45 percent say they would definitely vote to replace him. Seventeen percent would consider another candidate.
The findings are echoed by another poll question about Reid’s popularity that finds the four-term incumbent to be a polarizing figure in his home state.
Half of Nevada voters had an unfavorable view of Reid, while 38 percent had a favorable view and 11 percent a neutral opinion.
… He had hoped things might improve with the departure of President George W. Bush, but that’s not the case, at least not yet. The poll finds Nevadans are bullish on President Barack Obama even as they are unhappy with Reid.
Well, let the Hallelujah chorus sing. What took these Nevada voters so damn long to realize that Harry Reid is an idiot and a loser?
I’m thinking that this should put a little chill in the spines of Democrats, and not just Harry Reid. I highly doubt people are going to get happier as the economic situation continues to get worse, and they won’t be able to blame Bush this time. Let’s hope we can get rid of the whole sorry lot of them.
Hat Tip: Gateway Pundit
Didn’t Dingy Harry used to be pro-life. I think he got voted in by pretending to be a moderate democrat and then made a huge left turn in order to move up in the party.
This is great news. The only problem is the Republicans have no one willing to run against this clown. Until they can muster up someone who has half a chance to beat Reid, we can only be dreaming.
Hmm. The perfect opportunity has presented itself for the GOP to oust a butt canker from the Senate. Based on the NRSC’s actions so far this year, I have no doubts that they will find a way to screw it up.
Speaking as a nuclear engineer, I’ve been waiting for Reid to get canned so that Yucca Mountain can become the nuclear waste repository. I’m not hopeful about 2010.
Not to worry, ACORN will have his back…
It woudld be nice to see him lose reelection–I am not so confident though.
In a few years when The Terror enabling democratic leaders are languishing in Guantanamo we will look back on this period in History and laugh.
