This morning, President Donald Trump announced the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The Elites are still trying to figure out how the barbarians got through the gates. The MAGA crowd is humming “All My Exes Live In Texas” because the wonderful George Strait is being honored. The winning continues.
The old Moderate Democrat Party wanted to name everything for President John F. Kennedy after his assassination in 1963. The Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts is a kind of sad archetype of the late 1960’s. Drab, dull and lacking grace and beauty. Cheap looking, too.

Donald Trump announced this year’s honorees himself and said that he was 98% involved in choosing the list. This is how CNN made the headline, “Trump announces Kennedy Center honorees as he tries to put his stamp on DC”. Poor them. Trump is not trying to put his stamp on D.C.. He’s done did it.
President Donald Trump visited the Kennedy Center on Wednesday to unveil the next recipients of its hallmark honors — and announce that he would personally host the institution’s awards show in December.
The appearance at the iconic performing arts complex came as Trump seeks greater authority over Washington, DC, and its most prominent cultural institutions in an aggressive bid to put his stamp on the Democratic-led city. Trump seized control of the institution’s board earlier this year, telling reporters Wednesday he would oversee a sweeping revamp of the center and its programming.
“We ended the woke political programming, and we’re restoring the Kennedy Center as the premier venue for performing arts anywhere in the country, anywhere in the world,” Trump said. “We have some unbelievable plans.”
Trump, who said he was “98% involved” in picking the center’s next slate of honorees, announced that the awards would be given to singer and songwriter George Strait; actors Michael Crawford and Sylvester Stallone; singer Gloria Gaynor; and the rock band KISS.
You know that I am a Trumpette, so I say this with love. I don’t believe they had to twist Trump’s arm too hard for him to host the awards.
While insisting that he did not push to be part of the award presentations, Trump nevertheless appeared to relish the prospect of hosting a television show again, years after rising to national prominence as the face of the reality TV show “The Apprentice.”
“I think it will be quite successful,” Trump said. “It’s been a long time. I used to host the ‘Apprentice’ finales, and we did rather well with that.

Awarded at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, the Kennedy Center Honors recognize the lifetime achievements of artists who have made profound contributions to the cultural life in America. Past honorees include Steven Spielberg, Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey, Billy Crystal, Quincy Jones, Rita Moreno, Herbie Hancock, Dick Van Dyke, Tina Turner, Dolly Parton, Renée Fleming, and Francis Ford Coppola.
The photos of the honorees faded out from the camera lights but the announcements were great and the President was funny. He was at the London theater when Michael Crawford made his debut in 1962????
Naturally, Trump took 53 gazillion questions from the press.
There were those who were feeling hurting that George Strait and KISS are being honored.
