Jay Jones is a man filled with rage and vengeance. And he’s the Democrat running for Attorney General in Virginia. He put into writing a violent fantasy about his Republican colleagues being shot and killed. In a series of text messages, he talked about “two bullets to the head” for a political opponent.

A Glimpse Into the Left’s Darkest Instincts

These are not the rantings of an anonymous internet troll. They are the words of a man who wants to become the top law enforcement official in his state. Yeah. It should be an unbelievable story, right? Except this is becoming the norm for Democrats, and it should wake people up to just how comfortable they’ve become with violence.

The Virginia politician also bragged that he would show up at their funerals to “piss on their graves.” Jones didn’t stop with just his Republican colleagues; he even went so far as to suggest that they might only change their views if their own children died. You almost have to read it twice, because who talks like that and still thinks they deserve public office?

Jones was upset that Republicans were eulogizing recently deceased former state legislator Joe Johnson.

This man is absolutely unhinged and unfit for any sort of employment, quite frankly. Someone recommended a mental institution for the man. Oh, wait, we don’t have mental institutions anymore. Someone, please flag his gun permit application. Seriously, though, the man needs to seek help for his Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), which I am fully convinced now is a real thing.

This is not normal political speech. It is not a moment of anger or frustration. It is hatred aimed directly at people who disagree with him. And it shows how far the Democratic Party has fallen.

For a while, I held on to the belief that Democrats weren’t driven by violence. I wanted to believe they still valued civil debate and peaceful disagreement. That hope is gone. The evidence is now too clear to ignore.

My message to Virginians:

We need leaders at all levels with moral clarity, who can see the difference between right and wrong, not just when it’s pointed out to them.

Jay Jones is not the first Democrat to speak or act this way.

Maxine Waters once told people to confront Trump officials in public, and violent protests have torn through American cities.

A man wanted to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh outside his home.

Another opened fire on Republican lawmakers during a baseball practice.

Comedian and Democratic activist Kathy Griffin once posed for a photo holding a fake severed head of Donald Trump, an image meant to shock but also to dehumanize.

And even President Joe Biden has fanned the flames, calling millions of Americans “semi-fascists” and suggesting they are enemies of democracy simply because they support Trump.

Those are just a few examples that come to mind. And it seems to be getting worse. Now we have politicians who want a prominent office just coming right out and calling for violence.

When Violence Becomes a Party Platform

These are not the words or actions of a party that believes in peaceful disagreement. They are signals that violence and hatred are acceptable tools when it comes to defeating political opponents.

And now, with Jay Jones openly writing about bullets, graves, and dead children, it is clear that this mindset has moved from the fringes into the mainstream of Democratic politics.

Jones did not deny the accuracy of the texts Friday night and said he takes “full responsibility” for his actions.

“I want to issue my deepest apology to Speaker Gilbert and his family. Reading back those words made me sick to my stomach. I am embarrassed, ashamed, and sorry,” he wrote in a statement obtained by NBC News.

“I have reached out to Speaker Gilbert to apologize directly to him, his wife Jennifer, and their children. I cannot take back what I said; I can only take full accountability and offer my sincere apology,” Jones wrote. – NBC NewsSorry?

He apologizes? That’s not remorse, that’s damage control. He’s only sorry because his words went public. I have no doubt he still believes every bit of what he wrote. And I’m done giving people like this the benefit of the doubt. It’s time I start believing them the first time they show us who they are.

There was a time when Democrats called themselves the party of peace and tolerance. That time has passed. Today, they excuse threats. They justify violence. And now, as Jay Jones has shown, even their candidates for high office fantasize about killing political opponents.

I no longer believe this is about policy differences. It is about hatred, rage, and revenge. It is about a party that has lost control of itself. Jay Jones is not an outlier.

He is a warning sign of what the Democratic Party has become.

They are not just angry. They are dangerous. And unless they are held accountable, the situation will only grow worse.

Free speech is essential, and people have a right to express anger, dissent, and disagreement. But that right doesn’t become a shield when someone moves from argument into explicit threats of violence. There must be consequences when a political figure puts into writing fantasies of bullets and graves. I want Jay Jones to face charges.

Allowing Jay Jones to walk away from this would not only excuse his behavior but also invite more of it.
