Some of us live, breathe, eat and sleep current affairs, so when the news is saturated with something, for us it’s really saturated. Lately it seems that Hillary Clinton is pimping herself out more than a crackwhore trying to save up for her next hit, and while we all know a few misguided folks who think she’s the next Messiah (after His Self-Declared Highness, of course), the cold and unvarnished truth is that America is largely sick to death of her. Don’t believe me, though. Believe the ratings on her last two highly-publicized interviews.
Beginning with CNN, the 5 p.m. hour averaged 115K viewers in the 25-54 demo and 521K total viewers. That put it barely ahead of MSNBC’s The Ed Show, which had 105K in the demo and 506K total viewers. Meanwhile, Fox’s The Five led the time slot with 336K in the demo and 1.876M total viewers.
I’m just going to pause while you consider that. Barely ahead of MSNBC, the network that no one but Rachel Maddow’s girlfriend watches. Meanwhile, Greg Gutfeld wasted them all. Not surprising, since he’s probably smarter while drunk than they are sober. It gets even better. CNN didn’t learn its lesson on the first airing, and so they aired it again.
When CNN re-aired the interview at 9 p.m. its number increased slightly to 146K in the demo and 593K in the demo. While those were the best ratings CNN had all night, it still put them in third place for the hour behind Fox’s The Kelly File (377K in the demo, 2.126M total) and MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show (168K in the demo, 918K total).
Oh, look. Fox won again, and Megyn Kelly had more than twice the viewers of Ms. Madcow. It must be because all those homophobic rednecks took time off of their war on women to go watch the pretty blonde lady on all their extra TVs at once. The numbers on Fox changed significantly, however, once Hillary went over there.
That network split its Clinton interview between the last 15 minutes of Special Report with Bret Baier at 6 p.m. and the first 15 minutes of On the Record with Greta Van Susteren at 7 p.m. The first hour averaged 271K in the demo and 1.779M total viewers, which represented a nearly 20% drop in the demo compared to The Five an hour earlier.
When Greta Van Susteren‘s 7 p.m. show began mid-interview, the network clocked another drop, this time to 264K in the demo and 1.751M total viewers. When The O’Reilly Factor began at 8 p.m., Fox’s numbers reliably jumped back up to 413K in the demo and 2.415M total viewers.
In other words, people were going out of their way to not see her hag-ness on their screen, and then going back after they knew she was over. Just because she’s trying to get more face time than Monica had in the Oval Office doesn’t mean people want to watch it.
Her book isn’t faring much better. On Amazon, it’s already dropped to #5 behind a book about a 10-day juice cleanse. Maybe readers needed the cleanse after reading her tripe, which is getting slammed by Amazon reviewers that are almost as sarcastic as we are:
600 boring pages of self righteous BS
The title of my comment says it all.The book could have been condensed down to about 5 pages and would have said everything the that she stretched over 600 pages…
Election Propaganda
This is not a “memoir”, this is 2016 election propaganda. To be fair I only made it halfway through the book, but that was because I had to stop myself from vomiting.
And the winner…
Disappointed
I was really hoping to find out who killed Vincent Foster. Oh well, maybe the next book will reveal it.
The Washington Times points out that even Democrats aren’t that thrilled about a Hillary run. I’m sure the harpies at Jezebel probably think it’s because of rape culture and patriarchy and who knows, maybe people aren’t that thrilled about the idea of the first female President looking like something that got dragged off by a coyote and left for dead because even he didn’t want it. In reality, there’s a long list of reasons not to want Hillary for President; actually, scratch that. There is a long of reasons to fight her becoming President with every fiber of our “We the People” being. In the interest of time, I’ll just name a few: Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods.
“What difference does it make?”
According to msm (!) Hillary was a BIG hit in Toronto the other day – but my fear is that come election time, those of us who believe that Hillary is the penultimate nightmare for America – next to BHO – will register our disgust with the choices and NOT vote at all. (Seems to have been the successful Obamabot campaign strategy in 2008 and 2012.)
Jason Mattera went to her book signing with a camera. He asked her to sign the book, “To Christopher Stevens”, to which she replied that she would not sign it that way. Mattera then asked her “what difference does it make”.
The video is on several different sites on the internet.
I’ll look for that link….thanks for the heads up.

Got it…Thanks….
more face time than Monica had in the Oval Office
OK, that is just wrong! Eeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww…….
I know what you mean about “Hillary Fatigue” because I am a sufferer. Besides, I’m nearly at 2016 Presidential Election fatigue and that can’t be good. Nevertheless, I would like to know her true thoughts about how quickly she lost the frontrunner spot to Obama in 2008. That just had to hurt. I think if she insists on this current course she’ll be in for even more.
