Hamas Supporting Student Protestor Has Visa Revoked

This is definitely a moment of FAFO. A student who supports Hamas and likely had participated in some of the virulent campus protests has had his or her Visa revoked.

The State Department has revoked the visa of a student who participated in protesting in favor of Hamas, a move in line with President Donald Trump’s call for canceling visas of students involved in the anti-Israel demonstrations on college campuses.

The State Department confirmed the matter with Fox News, without identifying the student or what university they attended due to “legal constraints.”

“Yesterday evening, we revoked the first visa of an alien who was previously cited for criminal behavior in connection with Hamas-supporting disruptions,” the State Department said. “This individual was a university student. ICE will proceed with removing this person from the country.”

I’m sure that the current crop of Hamas supporting campus protestors will claim that that student was protesting super peacefully and that the Trump Administration has overstepped Constitutionally. Except, as has been documented multiple times here, those protests have been been about intimidation, harassment, and keeping people out of buildings and classes. That’s not peaceful by any stretch of the imagination.

How is this peaceful when a specific group of students, Jews, are being targeted because of their religion?

The campus protests started right after October 7, and have continued via various iterations to even yesterday. And not one of those protestors has faced any real consequences. Not a single one. Until now.

The remainder of his post on X reads:

The official says the State Dept. reviewed over 100,000 visas, and records showed the Biden administration canceled zero visas for pro Hamas activities or associated criminal behavior, despite the wave of protests on college campuses that broke out after the 10/7/2023 terror attacks on Israel.

Yes, the Biden Administration didn’t believe in consequences for breaking the law on any level. Then again, they thought everything was fine with all the George Floyd riots as well.

Well, that is ending here and now with the Trump Administration.

In fact, the Trump Administration is planning to utilize all resources, including AI to track down these protestors and enact consequences.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is launching an AI-fueled “Catch and Revoke” effort to cancel the visas of foreign nationals who appear to support Hamas or other designated terror groups, senior State Department officials tell Axios.

Why it matters: The effort — which includes AI-assisted reviews of tens of thousands of student visa holders’ social media accounts — marks a dramatic escalation in the U.S. government’s policing of foreign nationals’ conduct and speech.

The reviews of social media accounts are particularly looking for evidence of alleged terrorist sympathies expressed after Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, officials say.

Officials plan to examine internal databases to see whether any visa holders were arrested but allowed to stay in the country during the Biden administration.

They say they’re also checking news reports of anti-Israel demonstrations and Jewish students’ lawsuits that highlight foreign nationals allegedly engaged in antisemitic activity without consequence.

The State Department is working with the departments of Justice and Homeland Security in what one senior State official called a “whole of government and whole of authority approach.”

That’s the thing, if you are a student here on a Visa, you are absolutely held to the laws of this land. You don’t get to suit yourself up in your keffiyah and mask, and obstruct people’s ability to go to class by blocking doors. You don’t get to use megaphones to intimidate students of a different religion.

As for the protestors who were involved in the Barnard riots on Wednesday, the nine who were arrested have quite the privileged backgrounds!

The nine agitators arrested during Wednesday night’s takeover of a Barnard College academic building were all released with desk appearance tickets, as it was revealed none of them were actually students at the elite women’s college.

The disruptors taken into custody included several from privileged backgrounds, including one whose family founded the popular Hampton Jitney bus service in the 1970s — and one rabble rouser who had been busted at two other protests and has called for the “overthrow” of America.

They have quite the resumes, including the current Columbia class of 2025 President! And yet, they only got a slap on the wrist.

So this move by the Trump Administration is welcome news. Oh sure, people are going to yelp about free speech and freedom to protest.

Here’s the deal. You can protest all you want. But when you cross the line into intimidation by blockading access and specifically target one group of people while threatening their lives, that’s not free speech. Furthermore, when you are here in this country, you AGREE to adhere to the laws of this land.

You support Hamas and work to intimidate, harass, and threaten people you don’t like, then yes, your Visa is revoked and you are going home.

Why should their be legal constraints on releasing this person’s name? Criminals don’t get anonymity.

those protests have been been about intimidation
And even that isn’t why the visa was revoked. This is why:
Those who support designated terrorist organizations
And the reason they aren’t releasing the name is because this isn’t a criminal determination but an administrative one. We don’t allow people in who support terrorist organizations. (Well, we’re not supposed to.) While he was charged with trespassing or some such, that’s only how they found this one.

You don’t get to suit yourself up in your keffiyah and mask, and
Heck, you don’t even get to sy “Yay, Hamas!” on social media. Or ISIS, or Al-quaeda, or any other designated terrorist group. Citizens have to actually provide material support, but guests don’t have to be allowed to even mouth support for them.

    Now do Ilhan Omar, guys.

and has called for the “overthrow” of America
And they should be prosecuted for that, since they appear to have taken actions in furtherance of said overthrow.

    freedom to protest
Not in the First Amendment. According to the 1A, you have the right to present your grievances, and you have the right to peaceably assemble. Their assembly was NOT peaceable.

      Nailed it GWB!

Now I know it’ll never happen, but it’d be damn sure nice if we got to see Columbia Univ. expel their class president for his / her actions…

Let this turn into a REAL flood.. kick em all out, they do NOTHING to improve this nation, which is the ONLY reason we should let people come here. (no, not talking about tourists for whatever trolls might be lurking)

EXACTLY! The rights enumerated in various places in the Constitution are rights only for CITIZENS! The extension of some of those to foreigners (such as due process) are privileges to keep a civil society functioning.
