The DNC infighting is fun to watch. They are now trying to dump David Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta on a supposed technicality.
A Democratic National Committee panel on Monday recommended a new election for the post held by Vice Chair David Hogg, whose effort to challenge “asleep at the wheel” Democrats sparked a firestorm in the national party.
While the panel’s move was based on a procedural complaint unrelated to the broader controversy surrounding Hogg, the committee is giving DNC members another option to squeeze the vice chair after he promised to spend $20 million in Democratic primaries against incumbent House members in safe blue districts.
David Hogg, in his role as Vice Chair At Large, has made it abundantly clear that the DNC isn’t progressive enough. That stance has burned a metric ton of bridges. James Carville, in spite of his backpedaling, REALLY doesn’t like David. Others across the DNC don’t either. Especially given his plans to primary Democrats who aren’t progressive enough.
The DNC didn’t like that move. No, not one bit. Furthermore, even as Hogg launched his broadside against “ineffective Democrats,” a candidate, Kaylyn Free, challenged the results of the Vice Chair vote.
In her complaint, shared with Semafor by a Democratic source, Free argued that she lost a “fatally flawed election that violated the DNC Charter and discriminated against three women of color candidates,” and asks for “two new vice chair elections.” In February, after several rounds of voting, the race came down to five candidates – Kenyatta, Hogg, Free, and two other women. Kenyatta and Hogg claimed the open spots
“By aggregating votes across ballots and failing to distinguish between gender categories in a meaningful way, the DNC’s process violated its own Charter and Bylaws, undermining both fairness and gender diversity,” argued Free, a citizen of the Choctaw Nation.
Free filed her challenge on Feb. 28, and committee members were informed yesterday that it would be taken up on May 12. Attorneys for Hogg argued in a response to the committee earlier this month that the election “was conducted in compliance with the rules in place at the time,” and that it is “inappropriate to try to revise those rules or decisions after the fact through a credentials challenge.”
So, this supposed technicality is that one of the new Vice Chairs isn’t a woman? Interesting. Suddenly, when it suits their purposes, Democrats know what a woman is.
The Democrat party is in major disarray right now. You have the ultra progressive shrieking harpies (male and female) placing transgender ideology above women, advocating for massive government regulation on everything including the kitchen sink, demanding that the illegal immigration spigot be kept open, and are trying desperately to keep funding intact for the elite universities that have allowed anti-Israel protests to go unchecked for the last two years.
That this DNC infighting is now taking place on the world stage is just fun to watch. Especially when Christine Pelosi (daughter of Nancy) twists herself into a pretzel to explain how this technicality is supposedly a procedural thing that got missed, and has NOTHING to do with politics.
“First, I want to say clearly and explicitly that this decision has nothing to do with the service of any DNC officer, especially [Hogg] or [Kenyatta]. This is about a violation of parliamentary procedure that was raised in a challenge filed back in February by another candidate for Vice Chair,” Pelosi wrote on X.
After the panel rejected Pelosi’s proposal to “uphold the elections” and make changes to future procedures, “the Credentials Committee voted on a resolution that recommends that the DNC complete the Vice Chair election, and administer new ballots for the final two Vice Chair positions.”
Pelosi noted that Hogg would be eligible to run in the election redo and insisted that she hopes he decides to.
“I think I speak for all of us on the Committee when I say I hope both of these talented individuals put their names on the ballot again,” she said. “We’ll move fast to get this resolved. I have total faith in our DNC members to review this issue and vote their conscience.”
Nice try Chrissy. This move on a supposed technicality has EVERYTHING to do with politics. We all know it. Malcolm Kenyatta is very frustrated.
However any story about this, that neatly places this into a narrative about David Hogg is wrong.

I worked my ass off to get this role and have done the job every day since I’ve held it.
This story is complex and I’m frustrated— but it’s not about @davidhogg111 . Even though he clearly wants it to be.

The problem is, this IS about David Hogg and his blunt assessment of how he thinks the Democrat party should be run. He’s been busy burning down all the bridges and adding to the already toxic environment within the DNC.
Technicality or not, David isn’t going down without a fight. You see, he was brought in to right all the wrongs and the DNC as a whole just doesn’t appreciate his genius.

What’s comical is that David, while trying to keep his position, still doesn’t get why people moved away from the Democrat party. His ultra progressive views are a key reason why.
Was this move using a supposed technicality, the right one by the DNC? The full vote is supposed to take place in August.

Going to be honest: I read a bit of his interview with Bill Maher and he does bring up a valid points about how out of touch the party is and how the elected officials ignore the constituents. And he thinks that identity politics are not as important than whether or not someone can do their job.
If he gets thrown out because the DNC needs a Lesbian Midget Left-Handed Eskimo Albino at the helm then they’ve just proven him right.
Funny how demonrats do all they can to get ” ranked choice” voting put in place so they can steal.elections from.the Republicans, but suddenly when. It.means that Hogg-boi gets in instead of her, Fee suddenly has a.problem with it…
Besides the fact that I think Hoggy will do a great job of helping to sink the dims , if Gree has advocated for ranked choice voting even once in the past, she needs to be told STFU and EABOD…
Dammit! Fat fingers and a tiny phone keyboard do NOT mix!
All Hogg has to do to solve this developing problem is to identify as a “woman” … aaannnd solved!
Wait, hasn’t she already?
