We’ve known for some time, through the behavior and actions of Democrats, that Constitutional rights belong only to the Inner Party. Whether it was Lois Lerner siccing the IRS on conservative organizations in the run-up to the 2012 elections or the release of the Twitter Files showing collusion between the Federal government and social media to suppress or ban speech that dissented from the government’s narrative during the 2020 campaign season, it’s been an open secret that entrenched members of the government have few issues with using the power at their disposal to make life very difficult for people and organizations they don’t like. Operation Chokepoint ring any bells?
Yet nothing has set off these authoritarian patricians as much as Vice President Vance’s Churchillian speech at the Munich Security Conference.

By defending free speech, you are now viewed as anti-democratic. It is part of the Orwellian message of the anti-free-speech movement. Democracy demands censorship, and free speech invites fascism.

Are you really only engaging in “education”, Occasional-Cortez? Because we now know about the FBI agent who leaked information about an impending ICE operation against criminal illegal aliens was just educating the local sheriff cuz reasons.
No lies detected in Vance’s speech, just some hard truths. Triggering truths, at that.
Vance accused Europe of having begun to borrow tactics from that old enemy of the transatlantic alliance, the Soviet Union. In practice, he submitted, Europe’s thicket of censorship laws represented little more than “old entrenched interests hiding behind ugly Soviet-era words like misinformation and disinformation.”
In response, the German defense minister, Boris Pistorius, said that Vance’s words were “not acceptable.”
This rather made Vance’s point. There was the vice president of the United States, arguing that the Europeans had become far too comfortable telling people what they could and could not say, and, instead of developing a counter-theory, the first official to issue a rejoinder told him that he shouldn’t have said that. Quod erat demonstrandum, Mein Herr!
And you can’t hate the American legacy media … or should I say, the taxpayer-funded legacy media … enough.
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) criticized Vice President Vance for the rhetoric he used during his address to European leaders last week during the Munich Security Conference.
“He was talking about ‘the enemy within.’ This is some of the same language that Hitler used to justify the Holocaust,” Moulton said Monday during an appearance on MSNBC.
No where in that news report is any information on what Vance actually said in his speech. Just a rewrite by Moulton to indulge in his own contribution to the “Everyone I disagree with is a Nazi” handbook passed on whole by a lazy, apparatchik ‘reporter’.
The Nazipalooza stylings from illiberal, authoritarian Democrats results in another consequence from their steamroller approach to canceling free speech.

Scott says: “The Trump administration is muscularly supporting the Constitution.”. They do seem to be doing well so far, now if they take a wood chipper to the ATF and the unconstitutional gun laws across this nation, and restore the 2nd Amendment to its original meaning, we’ll really have something.
Cameron says: The liberals in this country pleasure themselves at the image of the Constitution being destroyed and restrictive laws like the EU has enshrined in its place. They have always viewed people as property and this is just another example.
Scott says: Agreed. I haven’t heard of the dems being this pissed off since Lincoln freed their slaves!
Cameron says: Well, there was their anger when the civil rights movement was won despite their best efforts.
Scott says: Until LBJ figured how they could make it work to their advantage and hijack the movement.. adn we all know ( or should) his comment to other dems on why they should vote for it.
Arguing that something should not be considered a crime is free speech. Aiding and abetting something that is a crime – is not free speech, it is criminal in and of itself.
Scott says: True, but that’s far too advanced a concept for old donkey chompers to understaand..
