Just three days ago, CNN released a story showing that there is widespread ignorance of the Holocaust and anti-Semitism is alive and well all across Europe. What is ironic about this is that one of CNN’s regular contributors, Mark Lamont Hill, has a long history of anti-Semitism and on Wednesday called for Israel’s elimination while endorsing Palestinian violence.
Mark Lamont Hill is pals with Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan, both of whom hate Israel. Hill also belongs to a group called the Dream Defenders whose entire premise is virulently anti-Israel. Furthermore, he is an ardent supporter of terrorist Rasmea Odeh whom he claims was unfairly convicted by Israel for her role in an Israeli supermarket bombing. Legal Insurrection’s William Jacobsen has written volumes on Odeh and her terrorist anti-Semitic screeds. It’s worth your time to read.
But as for Mark Lamont Hill, what he said and advocated for at the UN on Wednesday is incredibly concerning.
“Contrary to western mythology, black resistance to American apartheid did not come purely through Ghandi and nonviolence,” Hill said (see video below.) “Rather, slave revolts and self-defense and tactics otherwise divergent from Dr. King or Mahatma Gandhi were equally important to preserving safety and attaining freedom. If we are to operate in true solidarity with the Palestinian people, we must allow the Palestinian people the same range of opportunity and political possibility. If we are standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people, we must recognize the right of an occupied people to defend itself. We must prioritize peace, but we must not romanticize or fetishize it. We must advocate and promote nonviolence at every opportunity, but we cannot endorse a narrow politics of respectability that shames Palestinians for resisting, for refusing to do nothing in the face of state violence and ethnic cleansing.”
“Justice requires a free Palestine from the river to the sea,”Hill thunderously concluded. [Emphasis Added]
The entire speech is problematic given that Hill is literally standing up for Palestinian terrorists. Even more problematic is that last phrase. You see, that particular phrase has long been the rallying cry for every terrorist group (especially Hamas) who want Israel eliminated.
Of course, the UN and others were thrilled with Hill’s speech.

This speech was applauded while people want us to conveniently forget that Hamas/Palestinian terrorists launched hundreds of rockets from Palestine and the Gaza Strip into Israel just two weeks ago.
The timing of Hill’s speech given the results of CNN’s survey is somewhat laughable given that Hill is a regular on CNN.
Is @marclamonthill one of your #ReliableSources when he calls for the eradication of the State of Israel? What is #CNN's policy on violent eliminationist rhetoric? pic.twitter.com/xstYzXsJ5S

What is their policy? Because right now, CNN seems to be endorsing Hill’s remarks.
I’ve never been naive about anti-Semitism in America, but honestly never thought I’d see a mainstream CNN guy and professor, on camera, shout “free Palestine from the river to the sea” at the UN, to thunderous applause, and see a collective shrug from even non-socialist liberals.

Hill talked about prioritizing peace and nonviolence should be promoted. But he doesn’t call out Hamas for that. He calls out Israel. Tell me something. Is this peaceful?
The Gaza Strip, from which Israel unilaterally withdrew in 2005, is under the governance of Hamas, a terrorist organization that has fired thousands of rockets at Israeli civilians. The Palestinian Authority in the West Bank continues to pay bounties to terrorists who attack and kill Israelis and Americans. Part of the past Palestinian resistance includes the two violent “Intifadas,” from 1987 to 1993 and 2000 to 2005, respectively, in which thousands of Israeli civilians were killed in terrorist attacks such as suicide bombings.
As stated above, Hamas launched well over 500 rockets from Gaza into Israel just a few days ago. Is that peaceful? No. Absolutely not.
Marc Lamont Hill hates Israel and the Jewish people with every ounce of his being. His remarks to the UN on Wednesday and his long history of anti-semitism makes that abundantly clear. Furthermore, he is absolutely NOT interested in a two-state solution.
I believe in a single secular democratic state for everyone. This is the only way that historic Palestine will be free. https://t.co/6RXO7WfwG1

Hill attempted to defend his remarks and in doing so essentially stated that his “river to the sea” comment has multiple definition and we are just misinterpreting it. No, I don’t think so. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Simon Wiesenthal Center most certainly didn’t misinterpret his remarks.

Mark Lamont Hill wants us to believe that he isn’t calling for Israel’s elimination and that he has been hard on Hamas. His support of Palestine and terrorists such as Rasmea Odeh say otherwise, and right now it seems CNN is ok with that.
UPDATE 4:25 pm ET:
CNN has announced that they are cutting ties with Marc Lamont Hill.
“Marc Lamont Hill is no longer under contract with CNN,” a CNN spokesperson told @Mediaite exclusively. https://t.co/RR9pV4k4a7

Neither CNN or Hill has not made an official statement as of this update, though CNN has confirmed the information to other news outlets via email.

UPDATE 4:25 pm ET:
ANNNND, they dropped him like a bag of hammers.
(BTW, change your headline so people know you updated the post.)
I’ve never understood why blacks, in general, are so anti-semitic…. On a related note, it’s interesting that the ADL comes out against this clown, when they probably vote the same, and support the same leftist agenda….
The Palestinians had 60 years to make peace. I think their time is up.
You may not e aware that for all 60 years Israel was in the superior position y force, and intends to complete its Greater Israel Project, even if it destroys the US economy. Trump just admitted we are in the ME to protect Israel. I don’t recall seeing Israel mentioned in the Constitution. Is it the 51st state? Congress seems to think Israel is the lead state, kind of like Rudolph.
One day a great Prez will declare independence from Israel.
Are you really that stupid? over the years ever arab state (and the Palestinians that THEY don’t want either) have tried to wipe out Israel. Not win a war against them, but wipe them off the map. That was before Israel had nukes, and the still KICKED THE SHIT out of them. The reason that the US supports Israel (besides the fact that they are the only civilized society in that part of the world) is that it keeps all the arabs from getting squirrelly and attacking Israel again. this is for the protection of the arabs, not the jews, because now, with them having nukes, if Israel ever feels like they are about to loose to the muslim hordes, they will not be afraid to nuke every last one of them… think about that for a second ( I did, and got the giggles, but that’s a different thing).. if you actually support those medieval terrorists, you probably don’t want them destroyed..
When you see the Zionist MSM fire a Jew for criticizing Palestinians or Araps, hell has frozen over.
