‘buried in an obama t-shirt’

‘buried in an obama t-shirt’

two nights ago, The One spoke at the democratic national committee fundraiser in washington dc. and though now he says his attention is on job creation (how many trillion dollars spent and lost jobs later??) he said that healthcare reform was still something he is fighting for. in the next breath he told about a letter he received from a woman, a campaign worker, who was suffering from breast cancer and later died:

I got a letter — I got a note today from one of my staff — they forwarded it to me — from a woman in St. Louis who had been part of our campaign, very active, who had passed away from breast cancer. She didn’t have insurance. She couldn’t afford it, so she had put off having the kind of exams that she needed. And she had fought a tough battle for four years. All through the campaign she was fighting it, but finally she succumbed to it. And she insisted she’s going to be buried in an Obama t-shirt.

i have nothing to say about the woman’s wishes to be buried in the t-shirt. people do all kinds of things as is her right — its not about her or that.

but obama…

what a lovely, lovely self-serving anecdote at a fundraiser. is there no end to this man’s narcissism? or nothing off-bounds? must everything revolve around him and his bulbous, well-fed ego?

update: i didn’t see that hotair has something on this including the video. go check it out.

Well I think its ok. I mean, look how many dead people voted for Obama in this last election!!! He’s just paying tribute to a past……..and future voter!!

  • In fact, the woman did have health insurance. She admitted that she put off visits to the doctor due to the high deductible. Unfortunately her insurer, regrettably, denied her claim.

So let’s see a fact check:

Obama claims she did not have health insurance – wrong
Does Obama even know the name of the person whose sad death he is using a political chip – no

    Yeah…he’s just so……………..

So you are really just jealous that nobody wanted to buried in a Bush t-shirt? What is your point here?

    Hi Kate!

Poor dear woman. I wonder what she would think now if she knew he had used her as a fundraising tool. Personally, I wouldn’t want an Obama shirt on when I met St. Peter at the Pearly Gates…know what I mean? HA!

    “She couldn’t afford it”

ummmmmm … if she was poor she could have gotten it free. mammograms are free to poor women.

even without insurance you should be able to get one for $100 if you shop around.

if you are making over $50k it could cost you as much as $350.

maybe if she had gone to the doctor instead of working for obama she would be alive now.

    darwin at work.

  • Ken says:

Isn’t it ironic that Obama, whose administration just told women they don’t need mammograms until they are 50 instead of 40, uses a woman who died of BREAST CANCER as a prop for his health care. What a despicable human being.

If Obama gets his way, he’ll put more women in coffins in the name of saving money.

    “What is your point here?”

Forget it, Bobby. Go back to DailyKos where you feel right at home. Most people who cannot think for themselves have a hard time grasping the point here.

  • Portis says:

I am not so worried about a woman so sadly enamored by Barack Hussein Obama that she want to be buried in some cheap 2-bit t-shirt but rather this should be our true point that we hammer on day in and day out:

“As an American I am not so shocked that Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize without any accomplishments to his name, but that America gave him the White House based on the same credentials. ” said by Newt Gingrich

Lets not waste precious bandwidth on junk posts but rather concentrate on metaphorical silver bullets and stakes to the heart of this charlatan.

  • I am a fan of your blog!
I really can not say anymore regarding your post, it’s awesome!

  • lato sensu says:

what ever she is buried in she can still vote for him.
