The name of a young man, Brilyn Hollyhand, has been around a lot the last couple of months. Since the brutal murder of Charlie Kirk twelve days ago, the talking heads have been looking to anoint the next Charlie Kirk. A cursory glance around led them to pick the first candidate their eyes lit upon: Mr. Hollyhand. The Telegraph has named him heir apparent.
Yesterday, much of the world was utterly staggered watching the Charlie Kirk Memorial Service. The four plus hour service was meticulously planned in eleven days by the outstanding staff of Turning Point, USA. Too many adjectives? No. What you saw of the proceedings depended on your political point of view. You saw what you wanted to see, as Deanna wrote.
Wow. I'm speechless.
President Trump just told my story of how Charlie took a chance on me and appeared on my podcast when I was in 4th grade.
When I asked Charlie for advice, he told me: “The Left might have more money, but they’ll never be able to outwork me.”
RIP, Charlie. pic.twitter.com/3hpDur1Ji5

With Mr. Kirk martyred, we need a new Charlie Kirk according to the media. From The Telegraph:
If he was nervous, 11-year-old Brilyn Hollyhand did not show it, confidently welcoming Charlie Kirk to an interview on his YouTube channel with a subscriber count of just seven.
“You’re much further ahead of the curve than I was,” Kirk joked in seeming disbelief at the maturity of his young interviewer back in 2017. “So you’re way ahead of the game”.Now aged 19, Mr Hollyhand is being touted as Kirk’s heir apparent after the 31-year-old Maga podcaster was shot and killed by a single bullet during an appearance at Utah Valley University last week.
Deleted: Mr Hollyhand has travelled the length of the country speaking at universities across the US in a Kirk-like fashion, promoting conservative values on campus and rallying the youth to vote.
Deleted: Since his first interview with his mentor seven years ago, the college student has become one of the most followed young conservative influencers of his generation, amassing around half-a-million followers across his social media platforms.
Half-a-million followers isn’t chump change, but he is a 19 year old college student. He has a lot of work to do IF he wants to graduate. As we all know now, Charlie Kirk did not go beyond a semester or two.
Charlie Kirk was supposed to stop at Ole Miss on October 29 for his “American Comeback” tour. Since his death, the local chapter of his organization, Turning Point USA, has exploded, and they have scheduled a replacement event. https://t.co/MLhj5fvQoO pic.twitter.com/ctnLs3QKVs

Here is his interview with CBS 4 Birmingham. Brilyn announced that he will be partnering with Turning Point, USA to do a tour called “One Conversation At A Time” to 10 campuses including his own at the University of Alabama. Increased security, of course.
Incredibly well-spoken for 19. He speaks in whole sentences and whole thoughts.
But why does he have to be the next Charlie Kirk or the next anybody. Why can’t he be the next “himself”. We don’t like originality, I guess. People are still waiting for the next Ronald Reagan, I guess. Waiting for the next Ronald Reagan probably caused a lot of people to miss Donald Trump.
Brilyn Hollyhead is 19, smart and motivated. Instead of making him the next Charlie Kirk why don’t we wait to see how he develops. He’s still wet behind the ears and doesn’t know who he is. Let him learn and grow.
Let Brilyn Hollyhead become the next Brilyn Hollyhead.

There’s a big world out there. He has a lot of living to do.
Probably the hardest thing to do is be the next anybody. If you are living in someone else’s shadow, you are not getting much light.
The news media has a pattern of building people up and then tearing them down. Hopefully, Brilyn Hollyhead has figured out that much.
Anyway, unless Hollyhead is foolish enough to advertise himself as the next Charlie Kirk, the next Charlie Kirk nonsense will soon die out. Erika Kirk has replaced her husband as the head of TPUSA, and I doubt she wants to anoint anyone as her husband’s successor. The idea does not make sense.
Why can’t he be the next “himself”.
Exactly. I know nothing about this young man and I’d rather he develop the way he wants instead of having this forced on him. We also need more people willing to step up instead of waiting for one person to do it.
