When last I wrote about Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, she was hosting a holiday party for “Electeds of Color”, I kid you not. Now, Miss Wu is defiant in her response to Attorney General Pam Bondi’s ultimatum to end sanctuary city policies.
AG Bondi sent letters to 32 jurisdictions warning them about continuing the sanctuary policies for illegal aliens. Bondi gave the heads of those jurisdictions one week to respond.
Pam Bondi sent a letter to (32) Mayor's and multiple Governors telling them federal funds will be cut off, if Sanctuary policies don't end
They have a week to respond

From WCVB:
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu responded Tuesday to the Trump administration’s deadline to comply with federal immigration law, saying the city will continue to be a “beacon of freedom” for everyone.
Wu and 31 mayors from across the country received letters from U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi warning communities to comply with President Donald Trump’s immigration policies or face prosecution. A deadline to submit a compliance plan was set for Tuesday.
“Here is our response: Stop attacking our cities to hide your administration’s failures,” Wu said. “Unlike the Trump Administration, Boston follows the law, and Boston will not back down from who we are and what we stand for,” Wu said during a morning news conference. “We will not back away from our community that has made us the safest major city in the country and a leading example of why cities around the country make this country safer, healthier and more prosperous for all Americans.”
Well, Mayor Wu, according to Travellers Worldwide:
According to U.S. News & World Report, it has a violent crime rate of 216.1 incidents per 100,000 people and a property crime rate of 800.6 incidents per 100,000 people. Both of these crime rates are below the national average for large metropolitan areas.
Boston experiences many of the same crimes that you would find in any big city, including:
Homicide
Assault
Robbery
Motor vehicle theft
Petty theft
MuggingThese threats are present in Boston, but they’re not omnipresent. With some basic common sense, you should be fine. Plus, the dynamics of crime in Boston work in your favor.
Unlike in some other metropolitan areas, crime in Boston is heavily confined to a few neighborhoods, usually far away from where any tourist would venture.
One caveat we would add is that the city is not equally safe for everyone. According to a local real estate website, Boston has some of the most hate crimes per capita in the nation.
Hate crimes? Most hate crimes per capita in the nation. I wonder why? Racist Mayor Michelle Wu.
Here is Michelle Wu’s speech today:
Well, not safe by every metric.
Just so you know, I love a good mariachi band. I do not love this mariachi band. Also, doesn’t it stereotype your illegal visitors to assume they are all of Mexican heritage.
RESISTANCE: Boston's Democrat Mayor Michelle Wu brought out the big guns – Boston's first all-female mariachi band headlined by Veronica Robles – as she doubled down on her efforts to prevent President Trump from deporting the criminal illegal aliens in her city. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu has tunnel vision about race and her city. She doesn’t understand the difference between legal and illegal immigrants. Her defiance is just ignorance.
