Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear went on The View recently to deliver what has become his political gospel. He invoked his Christian faith to defend gender procedures for children, presenting it as compassion rooted in Scripture. And he framed the medical transition for minors as protection. But the most gross part is when Andy Beshear wrapped it in church language and called it love.
This tool goes on The View to express his opinion. I am just simply gobsmacked.
Unreal.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear went on “The View” and used the Bible as a defense for mutilating kids with gender dysphoria:
“My faith teaches me that all children are children of God, and I didn’t want people picking on those kids.”

Spare me the sermon, Governor, while you defend sterilizing and harming minors. Don’t cloak this in faith. Own what you’re supporting, Andy. I call it outright child abuse. I am sick to death of this attitude where these people want so desperately to permanently harm children. And I honestly don’t know why more people are not outraged by this grotesque contagion.
Eli Shepherd wrote a piece at Red State that takes Andy Beshear to task.
I have buried children. I have prayed with parents in ICU waiting rooms. I have sat with teenagers drowning in confusion and shame. I have walked families through seasons where the pain felt unbearable. So hear me clearly. Love for children is not theoretical for me. It is personal. It is pastoral. It is sacred.
And that’s why this argument doesn’t just fail; it is against every ounce of true care one can have for a child.
Yes, all children are children of God. Amen to that. But in what world does that truth lead us to sterilize them, cut them open, or affirm every feeling as final truth? In fact, the opposite is true. If children belong to God, then we are stewards, not experimenters. Protectors, not affirmers of confusion. Shepherds, not butchers.
I have never once encountered a hurting child who needed less truth. I have met many who needed more patience, more presence, more stability, and more adults willing to say, “I love you too much to lie to you.” – Red State
Beshear wants voters to believe that affirming medical transition for minors is compassion. He wraps it in Scripture. This is a theological sleight of hand.
Protecting children from being “picked on” does not require removing healthy body parts.
Scripture speaks clearly about protecting children. In Matthew 18:6, Christ warns that anyone who causes harm to a child faces severe judgment. Protection in the biblical sense means guarding innocence and guiding the vulnerable. It does not mean surgically reshaping a child’s body to match a passing identity.
Beshear blurs that line.
This is not a theological debate in a seminary classroom. It is about real minors being placed on puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and in some cases, on surgical tables.
Take the time to watch this video and tell me this is normal. Please, for the love of God, stop mocking this issue and get serious about it.
I’ll spare you the graphic content and try to keep it nice here on the blog. Although there is nothing, NOTHING, nice about these procedures, especially on minors. My God.
Puberty blockers suppress natural development during a critical stage of growth. They affect bone density. They affect brain development, fertility, and are not a harmless pause button. The overwhelming majority of minors placed on blockers proceed to cross-sex hormones.
Cross-sex hormones introduce permanent changes. Sterility becomes likely. Sexual function can be impaired. Lifelong medical dependence becomes reality. Cha-ching for the medical industrial complex.
And surgery is not simply cosmetic. A double mastectomy on a teenage girl removes healthy breast tissue permanently. Genital reconstruction surgery reshapes functional organs into an approximation of the opposite sex. Complication rates are significant. Revision surgeries are common. This is where I could get graphic but I’ll spare you. It’s all out there on the internet though, and this is the kind of vulgarity that Andy Beshear supports.
And before anyone barks at me about this is surgery being for adults, this is the same surgery Jazz Jennings had when he was 17-years old. See the video above. I suspect Andy hasn’t educated himself on what any of this means.
Let me give you another tragic example of where this path can lead. There was once a boy named Yarden Silveira. If Andy Beshear was so worried about the suicide rate going up for minors, then what can he offer the family of Yarden Silveira?
Yarden began identifying as transgender as a teenager. He was on the autism spectrum. He struggled with identity and acceptance. As a minor, he socially transitioned and began hormone treatment. At 19, he underwent genital surgery. Severe complications followed. Tissue death. Multiple hospitalizations. Revision procedures. So you see the grooming as a minor, right?
Yarden Silveira’s story is among the most tragic cases of detransition you will ever read. His scathing Yelp reviews of the surgeons who harmed him briefly surfaced on social media last year, but his full story remained elusive. He later attempted to detransition, speaking openly about chronic pain and feeling deceived by the very system that had affirmed him. When he asked for help undoing the damage, he was met with resistance and silence.
At 23, he was dead under circumstances listed as unknown. His mother believes it was suicide, and his physical decline and mental despair were deeply connected.
But if you presented this young man to Andy Beshear while he as going through this troubling time, Andy would have labeled all of these lies as compassion.
Beshear is positioning himself as a moderate Democrat with a Christian vocabulary. He speaks softly while invoking God. The governor tries to occupy moral ground while backing policies that permanently alter children’s bodies.
Faith is not a campaign prop, and Scripture is not political cover. If children belong to God, adults are supposed to protect them, not redesign them. You do not deal with cruelty by altering a child’s healthy body. Why this idea would even enter one’s mind is baffling.
Deal with the bullies, strengthen families, and tell the truth about biology. Calling irreversible medical intervention compassion does not make it true. It is politics wrapped in church language, and it needs to be called out.

You cannot show love and compassion for children by surgically and chemically mutilating their bodies. And no decent human being can support that biblically.
This creature butchers Scripture the way fake doctors butcher children. Long past time we stop this trend from continuing.
Our distinguished Governor also strongly supports prenatal infanticide, so no one is really surprised.
In the meantime, the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School shooter is yet another boy who thought he was a girl. He was 18 years old when he went to his eternal reward, but The New York Times, which continues to use the feminine pronouns in reference to him, said he dropped out of school four years ago, and the police had made several mental health checks at his residence over the years.
No surprise there.. it’s more than obvious that it’s mental illness that makes someone think they’re a gender they aren’t…
Governor Andy was quoting from the Book of Lola;
“Girls will be boys and boys will be girls ,
It’s a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world,
Except for Lola.”
If you’ve got one of those Abridged Versions of the Bible, it might not be in there. It’s in the New Enlightened Edition. Since Governor Andy wants to run for President in 2028, of course you can trust him.
What a travesty! Trying to label as Christian compassion what is fundamentally saying, “God, You’ve made a bad mistake with this child. We’ll fix it for You with some cross sex hormones and a little butchery.”
