The official Paris for President campaign ad; McCain says she’s deeper than Obama!

Paris Hilton responds to her image being used in one of McCain’s ads… by making a campaign ad of her own! And you know what? She’s got a much more thoughtful energy policy than Barack Obama does. And they’ve probably got about equal experience when it comes to governing.

Scary question: if Paris and Barack were your two choices, which would you vote for? I honest-to-God don’t know who would be worse.

Best of all was the McCain camp’s response to Paris’ “ad”:

In the unkindest cut of all, McCain’s spokesperson Tucker Bounds tells TMZ that on the subject of energy, Paris is deeper than Barack. He says, “Sounds like Paris is taking the ‘All of the Above’ energy approach that John McCain has advocated — both alternatives and drilling. Perhaps the reality is that Paris has a more substantive energy plan than Barack Obama.”

Priceless. And pretty true. Folks, when Paris Hilton sounds more intelligent than the guy you’re supporting, it may be time to rethink your vote. Just a suggestion.

Here in the Midwest we’re hoping that California might actually go…pink! And vote for Paris. Wouldn’t that be something? 😀

Yeah, that was my take on it as well. That the McCain camp should applaud the humor and say “hey, it sounds to us like she’s supporting our plan.”

I’m no Paris fan — but I gotta admit, it was pretty funny. If McCain has a sense of humor, and I think he does … he should use it to his advantage here.

Wow. I really, really hate to admit this, but that was funny.

Even harder to admit – she sounds quite intelligent in this video. Plus, she’s clearly willing to poke fun at her own image.

I may have just gained some respect for Paris Hilton. That’s certainly not a sentence I ever thought I’d write.

Zirbert, I totally agree. I could never stand her before, but I’m starting to have some respect for her, too. If you don’t take yourself too seriously and you have the ability to make fun of yourself, then that goes far more than 50% towards my ability to like you.

As I posted on another blog, maybe I need therapy…

Ditto Zirbert. Paris ’08! (‘cuz she can’t be worse than the other two alternatives)

Hey. He did it. I heard McCain being interviewed on Beck this morning, and in closing Glenn asked him if he’d consider Paris for VP.

McCain said she had a great sense of humor, and that he “thought it was hilarious.”

McCain just went up a couple of notches in my book as well.

  • media buff says:

Paris obviously has some marketing savvy; she can turn anything into a PR boost for herself… thx to McCain’s miscalculation, she’ll be selling more cans of wine than ever
