9 years ago today, our country was attacked by Islamic extremists. Almost 3,000 innocent Americans were murdered in the name of jihad.
It’s a little frustrating to know that 9-11 has been forgotten for so many people. Personally, it’s hard to sympathize with people who want us to give up in Afghanistan, who can’t understand what we’re doing there or what we’re fighting for. My husband serves our country in the Marine Corps, he’s fighting in Afghanistan right now, and he does so because of what happened on 9-11. And too many people have simply forgotten. They’ve let it go.
We owe it to everyone who died that day, to the heroes who ran in the buildings when everyone was running out, to the men and women in uniform fighting for us right now… we owe it to all of them to never forget.
