the assasination of an abortionist

the assasination of an abortionist

by his own account, he had performed over 60,000 abortions — many of them were late term (after 5 months) or partial birth abortions.

he was detested by pro-life advocates, including me. if he had simply died by getting a pretzel stuck in his throat, i would not have been sad however today i am acutely sorrowful, almost wounded by his murder.

let’s be perfectly clear: this abortionist’s assasination was not the act of a pro-life supporter. it was the act of a person who profoundly misunderstands pro-life principles, the democratic ideals of this country and simply put, had no self control over his outrage. he was a nut.

pro-life advocates must promote the right to life of every innocent human being. we need to consider not only moral innocence, but innocence legally as determined by our system of law. this abortionist was certainly not, in my view or in the view of most pro-lifers, morally innocent. but his actions were legal.

so not only will the murderer of abortionist dr. george tiller have to deal with the legal consequences of his actions, he will have to live with the fact that this selfish act will have an effect completely opposite to that which – in his deranged mind – he had hoped to achieve.

the assasination of the abortionist will no doubt strengthen those who support the culture of death and make our job at promoting the value of life more difficult — from the attorney general beefing up security at abortion clinics around the country to The One himself saying this:

“I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence.”

of course we who are pro-life feel that abortion itself is a heinous act of violence. but that is forgotten.

generally speaking, liberals support abortion on demand. we who are pro-life believe in the intrinsic evil of abortion and in the intrinsic goodness and greatness of this country and our system of laws. because of this, we must condemn the unlawful murder of a person who died as bloody as he lived.

The guy who killed Dr. Tiller IN A HOUSE OF WORSHIP was a homegrown terrorist; probably a registered Republican; probably a white so-called “Christian”. Damn he probably attended a Tea Party! You people make me sick. The good news is that this will just create more Dr. Tillers. It’s sort of like Guantanamo Bay causes more terrorists. God bless Dr. Tiller’s family.

  • PenniePan says:

So maybe that DHS “Domestic Terrorism” report that all you righties went ballistic over had some truth in it after all eh? I guess we’ll all find out when more is released on this madman who did this to this.

  • Jane says:

Dr. Tiller was a hero Kate. In spite of the obvious danger to himself, he continued to help women for many years and generations. They were women who sought him out–keep that in mind as you pontificate! He stood up to right-wing haters and yes, domestic terrorists, for decades at tremendous personal and professional sacrifice. His murder is a loss for women everywhere, even you. I hope this does open doors for tighter restrictions against psychos like this.

If you are a pro-lifer who is not prone to violence, you need to reevaluate. You have rogues in your midst.

  • kate says:

“Dr. Tiller was a hero Kate.”

jane. this is a fundamental difference between us. he did 60,000 abortions…

    60,000 people jane.

  • Paul says:

    @ Sami
I am pretty much an agnostic but I guess if Jesus did live, he was a dissident and humanist and would be horrified by the use of his name to drive people to war or murder or harming another human being. I don’t know if this Roedel calls himself a christian or not. I am with you in that I would bet money that he does.

  • PenniePan says:

The Nazi’s considered themselves christian too.

  • Dade says:

Should Scott Roeder be water-boarded to determine if there are others out there who might be plotting other such acts? It’s a ticking time-bomb!

  • Dade says:

Also this: Kate, you show a lot of integrity with this post. I respect your consistency.

(Lest there be any confusion, I am neither “pro-life” nor “pro-choice.” Abortion is one of those issues about which I simply cannot and will not make a judgment.)

  • PenniePan says:

Also, what kind of christian kills an unarmed man in church?

  • Mark says:

More than 6,100 terrorist acts since 1977 from these domestic terrorists all in the name of “saving the babies.”

“All told, according to statistics provided by the National Abortion Federation and not including this morning’s murder, since 1977, there have been seven murders, 17 attempted murders, 41 bombings, 175 arsons, 96 attempted bombings or arsons, 390 invasions, 1400 cases of vandalism, 1993 cases of trespassing, 100 butyric acid attacks, 659 anthrax threats, 179 cases of assault and battery, 406 death threats, four kidnappings, 151 burglaries, and 525 cases of stalking specifically directed at clinics, their workers, or their volunteers in the US and Canada. That’s over 6,100 cases of terrorist activity by the “pro-life” movement. And that’s just what was reported — the actual numbers are probably much higher.”

    http://www.prochoice.org/pubs_research/publications/downloads/about_abortion/violence_statistics.pdf

You’re bitching because the AG puts more security at Women’s Clinics? He needs to do a hell of a lot more then that.

  • Ken says:

I knew the wackos would be out in full force on this one.

“The guy who killed Dr. Tiller IN A HOUSE OF WORSHIP was a homegrown terrorist”

Didn’t you get the memo? The word terrorist doesn’t exist anymore, it’s “Domestic Contingency Operation Participant”. Of course, it’s only fitting that people like you would rail against calling Muslim extremists terrorists, then so happily and quickly apply it to another American.

Several pro-life, Christian organizations have released statements condmening the murder:

    http://www.christiannewswire.com/news/895410527.html

The incredible ignorance shown of Christians by the trolls on this site is stunning.

The guy who killed this doctor deserves whatever he has coming to him, even if it’s the chair. Regardless of your position on ANYTHING, murder is not a solution.

    “You people make me sick.”

This from someone who is using a man’s murder as a political weapon. You’re the sickening one, Sami.

“So maybe that DHS “Domestic Terrorism” report that all you righties went ballistic over had some truth in it after all eh?”

True to form, Pennie, you use the crime of an unbalanced murderer to paint all pro lifers. You truly are ignorant and pathetic.

“Dr. Tiller was a hero Kate.”

Priceless. The same people who hold the military in contempt think this guy was a hero. Talk about screwed up priorities.

“The Nazi’s considered themselves christian too.”

    And?

“(Lest there be any confusion, I am neither “pro-life” nor “pro-choice.” Abortion is one of those issues about which I simply cannot and will not make a judgment.)”

That’s a safe bet. After all, it’s the same position as our president.

  • Pat says:

    PenniePan and Mark

“So maybe that DHS “Domestic Terrorism” report that all you righties went ballistic over had some truth in it after all eh?”

“You’re bitching because the AG puts more security at Women’s Clinics? He needs to do a hell of a lot more then that.”

You can bet the FBI is already investigating this. Hopefully, their marching orders are to use this crime as the foundation of an investigation into this movement as groups suspected of being domestic terrorist organizations using the PATRIOT Act and RICO, not merely to get the people connected to a single “hate crime”.

  • Ken says:

Interesting stats, Mark. For a minute there I thought they were William Ayers, but of course it’s ok to blow things up as long as you are friends with the president, right?

  • kate says:

    hey mark
you said ‘More than 6,100 terrorist acts since 1977 from these domestic terrorists all in the name of “saving the babies.”’

60,000 abortions of innocent babies in the womb by JUST ONE MAN (legal) vs 6,100 violent acts against abortionists (illegal).

over 30 million abortions of innocent babies since R v W.

don’t talk to me about your stats.

  • Monica says:

Hello. The couple that lives next door to my parents are big Pro-lifers. They are Catholic and protested for 6 months just standing on a street corner with a sign when the Planned Parenthood Clinic came to our town. We have had some very intense arguments over politics. They are Conservatives and only vote for the most Conservative Christian candidates with yard signs that are enormous. They are very religious and they appear to do good things that are adherent to Christianity. But I also believe they are perfectly happy that this poor doctor is dead and that he was gunned down in church.

  • Shar says:

Pat and others: What does anyone in here think about Bill O’Reilly’s chronic drum beat about Dr. Tiller? He whips things up into a frenzy all the time!!! Maybe he should be charged with hate crimes or somehow encouraging this by his always calling Tiller Baby Killer and stuff. He has a national platform and hasn’t used it wisely that is for sure. At the very least O’Reilly has blood on his hands. The FBI is going to look into this I am sure.

    Look at this: http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2009/05/31/tiller/

  • Ken says:

“Maybe he should be charged with hate crimes or somehow encouraging this by his always calling Tiller Baby Killer and stuff. ”

    Absolutely unreal. The Nazis return.

  • Jared says:

Personally, I try to not take a position on abortion. I think it’s up to the woman to make the call because it is her body. But I will say that if our country can call ELF (Earth Liberation Front) a domestic terrorist group, and the individuals who are associated with them terrorists, it seems clear that people who incite fear and terror and even murder in the family-planning profession should also be called terrorists as well. So yes Pennie, the DHS Report seems accurate at least on this point.

  • Micky says:

Roeder probably took his cue from Sotomayor and decided that the richness of his experiences would allow him to more often than not reach a better conclusion than anyone else who hasn’t lived that life.

Its interesting how on other blogs the discussion usually surrounds the justification of the murder (Tillmans) whether or not there should be any sympathys or mitigation for Roeder, is society justified in applying its own justice ? and so on.
Here at this blog the calibre of moonbats right away start with the generic preditcable N*zi, right wing domestic terrorist crap while at the same time say nothing about another recruitment office that just suffered a shooting.

    Dade, knock it off.
Its already been defined in that stupid example that American citizens, criminals or not, as US citizens have rights that terrorists dont.

  • Micky says:

” So yes Pennie, the DHS Report seems accurate at least on this point. ”

I can a lot of points in history where just about anything is accurate at one time or another in relation to any deranged report like a broken watch being right twice a day.
If I wrote the same report 8 years ago and replaced the warnings about radical right wingers with radical left wing anti war protestors I would of been correct a million times up until the shooting at a recruitment center today.
So, Napolitano is mostly correct because of one incident since she wrote that crap ?

Which just brought a question to mind.
Why in Napolitanos report were there no warnings about rabid left wing anti war groups ?

  • Dade says:

Ken said: I knew the wackos would be out in full force on this one.

Well, Ken, respectfully, don’t you think there is a legitimate issue? If “liberals” or “left wing extremists” are being targeted for murder by church-going conservatives, can you blame people for being concerned?

I grant that most of the arguments on this blog, from either side are more polemic rants than reasoned positions. Nonetheless, if this murder is an omen of things to come, who can blame so-called “liberals” for worrying?

  • Ken says:

“Why in Napolitanos report were there no warnings about rabid left wing anti war groups ?”

Because they didn’t want to alienate Obama’s core supporters.

  • Dade says:

Well, Micky, regardless of Roeder’s citizenship, if it were known that he had information about a bombing attack somewhere in the US, should he be water-boarded to obtain that information?

I realize that we’re engaging in a ridiculous conversation, but the absurdity of it only points up the vacuity of the argument in favor of “enhanced interrogation techniques.”

  • Ken says:

“Well, Ken, respectfully, don’t you think there is a legitimate issue? ”

No more than any other murder that happened today. This was the work of an obviously sick and violent mind, no doubt. However, the comments on this board are absolutely ridiculous.

Being concerned is one thing. Using this incident to paint all conservatives as violent, murdering, anti abortionists is simply childish. As of this moment, U.S. Marshals are on their way to help guard abortion clinics. Earlier today a soldier was gunned down outside of a recruitment center, are marshals on their way to protect recruitment centers too? Are soldiers lives less important than abortion doctors?

It’s the complete overreaction and hypocrisy of the left that I have an issue with.

  • Micky says:

Yeah well, if they didn’t honestly believe half the crap in it , it wouldn’t be so bad.
I want to know how these theorists are coming to the conclusion that whoever did this was a religious church going conservative ?

As much as I cant seem to get upset about Tillman being murdered I still have to say that of course the guy was unhinged. Who knows ? None of us do really.
This guy (if he did it) could have some personal experiences that led him to feel, think and react in the manner he did.
All you need is a guy who’s maybe lost a kid or two to abortion, has some chemical imbalances, and presto ! You’ve got yourself an ideal candidate without him having to be a conservative or a religious zealot.
So really, Pat, Pennie, Jared, those of you who are so quick to broad brush the 51% of the country that doesnt believe in abortion might want to take a step back and look at the utter idiocy of your position.

My son was born 2 months premature. If asked, Tillman would of killed what would of been real life, not potential life, that would of been perfectly able to live outside the womb with minimal to almost no additional support.
We have one man who’s killed one man up against the thousands of kids that have been killed in this manner.
How many of you could actually be in the same room while this procedure was taking place and not want to put a stop to a doctor who was about to shove an instrument thru the skull of a baby that could survive on its own outside the womb ?
Does it really take a right wing religious radical to have what would be a normal reaction of disgust and horror to such a sight ?
I don’t condone the lawless anarchy that would ensue if everyone made their own rules pertaining to life and death but then again, isn’t that what many mothers and doctors do when choosing these procedures at such a late term ?
Did anyone cry when Dalmer was killed ?

Tillman was ignorant to the sentiments of the majority of the society around him and took it for granted that the law would protect him.
Yeah, he had the right legally to do what he did but I also have the right to walk through South Central L.A., or Oakland and say whatever I want ? I guarantee you that as much as I have the right to free speech I wouldn’t last long. Should I walk thru a predominantly Muslim neighborhood cursing Allah, rambling off obscenities at him and expect to come out unscathed ? Should I conduct the most barbaric form of abortion there is in country that’s mostly Christian where 51 % dont believe in abortion and not expect my number to come up one day ?

  • Micky says:

No Dade, you cant just conveniently cast aside his citizenship.
Thats the beauty of Gitmo and the rules we have in place.

Personally I think if he knew of plans that would kill thousands, yeah, get the b*stard wet, but thats just me. The law is the law and WB was legal at the time.
Its unfortunate, what happened was illegal but I’m not going to lose any sleep over it.
Anymore than I will over terrorists confessing to have info getting water boarded.

It is ridiculous conversation, you started it.

  • lisab says:

“The couple that lives next door to my parents are big Pro-lifers. They are Catholic and protested for 6 months … But I also believe they are perfectly happy that this poor doctor is dead and that he was gunned down in church.”

happy that he was gunned down in church? do not be silly … blood is very hard to wash out of the tapestries.

generally we prefer you check your guns at the door.

  • lisab says:

as far as the catholic teaching on this is concerned …

thou shall not murder is one of the ten commandments.

is it cold water, blot dry for blood stains?

  • Jared says:

Micky you are repeating yourself and frankly being irrelevant. Stay on topic please.

  • Kels says:

“Morris Wilson, commander of the Kansas Unorganized Citizens Militia in the mid-1990s, said he knew Roeder fairly well.

“I’d say he’s a good ol’ boy except he was just so fanatic about abortion,” said Wilson, who now lives in western Nebraska. “He was always talking about how awful abortion was. But there’s a lot of people who think abortion is awful.” ”

    http://www.mcclatchydc.com/251/story/69151.html

My f*in God!!! THIS is the face of homegrown terrorism. THIS is what needs to be stopped. Waterboard THIS POS!

  • Micky says:

Sorry, should of made it evident that I was responding to kens statement,
“Because they didn’t want to alienate Obama’s core supporters.”

Yeah well, if they didn’t honestly believe half the crap in it , it wouldn’t be so bad.

Cold “soda” water. Works great for communions that get outta hand too

  • moonlvr says:

A question for you good conservative people: If preaching hate and murder in Mosques is hate speech, what about preaching hate and murder about abortion in Churches?

    Where, praytell, is the difference?

  • PenniePan says:

Geez Kels thats frightening: “Kansas Unorganized Citizens Militia” ??????

“Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition” isn’t that how it goes?

  • lisab says:

“If preaching hate and murder in Mosques is hate speech, what about preaching hate and murder about abortion in Churches?”

ah … so you are saying that his church told him to murder tiller

  • Ken says:

“If preaching hate and murder in Mosques is hate speech, what about preaching hate and murder about abortion in Churches?”

You mean Revered Wright? Oh, I couldn’t agree with you more. Perhaps you should ask Obama.

  • Micky says:

Jared, F off ! Dont start your sh*t again
I missed a point in my address to ken, wise up. The topic is not my repeating something for good reason.

If you want to be on topic so damn much than approach one of the many issues I presented in my post or maybe try to answer some the question I presented that was relevant to your pathetic post.

Ken answered it, I responded to Ken but didnt make it clear thats who I was responding to. Where the F were you ? Oh, thats right, looking for irrelevant crap to bring up and start one of your stupid a$$ pissing contests again.

    Tell me Jared.
Why is it that Napolitano didnt issue the same kind of warning concerning radical leftist anti war groups HUH ? Like the ones who shot two soldiers today, killing one.
Why is it that Holder decided abortion clinics need additional security while ignoring the recruitment center where killings actually took place ?

  • Jared says:

    Temper, temper Micky.

Just trying to be a good blog citizen here and you have to go off with the potty mouth. You were off task and you admitted it which is good. Now if you could just get your anger under control.

  • Jared says:

Pennie the country is littered with “unregistered” militias. Just google it sometime.

  • Ken says:

“Pennie the country is littered with “unregistered” militias.”

Now, now, Jared. Stay on topic, please.

  • Micky says:

“If preaching hate and murder in Mosques is hate speech, what about preaching hate and murder about abortion in Churches? ”

Where the hell did you pull this out from ?

So far theres been no connection between Roeder and the Lutheran church this happened in.

All you anti religion morons might want to start wising up.
The Christian community in America is the most generous and charitable demographics there is, If you actually think that the actions of one person are going to convince any substantial majority that religion or the churches are resposible for this you’re crazier than Roeder.
I hate to think what this country would be like without the many faith based initiatives and organizations there are that come to the rescue at just about every calling there is in times of need.
So please, dont try to compare the Christian community in America to the radical Mosques amd Madrassas around the world and here in America that preach the aniahlation of an entire race.
Dont even try when its plainly evident that the Muslim community in America doesnt do jack sh*t compared to what the Christian community does.

    Kels.
Theres Muslim militias here in this country operating in broad daylight that pose a far greater threat to America tha that little boy scout camp you linked us to. Why dont you put a little more focus on them ? Scared ? I would be.

  • Micky says:

“Just trying to be a good blog citizen here ”

Yeah, like I’m a registered democrat.

  • Jared says:

Sorry Ken. I know you want to protect and serve but I was on topic. It was a comment related to several above concerning what Roedel, the shooters background was.

  • Ken says:

“Sorry Ken. I know you want to protect and serve but I was on topic.”

Oh, I see. So now YOU are the moderator of this board, deciding what is and is not on topic?? How important you must feel!!!

  • moonlvr says:

“So far theres been no connection between Roeder and the Lutheran church this happened in.”

Micky, I didn’t take that leap. You did moron. I was making a comparison about anti-abortion churches in general. There is no evidence that the murderer was from Tiller’s church. Pay attention if you are going to try to dominate the conversation here. Otherwise you are just another mouthy conservative moron.

  • RON_PAUL_FAN says:

Saw your post on Facebook. It seems to me as if the lines are really blurring between the Christian right-to-lifers, Christan white supremacists, Christian gay-bashers, Christian separatists/survivalists; all seem to be all inter-related. That’s why we need to secularize everything in this country. Completely. This kind of shit will just keep happening until we do.

  • Jared says:

Yup. Got a badge and everything. It says “Blog Moderator”.

  • Ken says:

“I was making a comparison about anti-abortion churches in general.”

    Which churches are those, moonlvr?

  • BikerDan says:

Is anyone here condoning the murder of this doctor? Of course not!

  • Ken says:

“Got a badge and everything. It says “Blog Moderator”.”

Hey, we have stuff like that where I work!!! We hand them out to 5 year olds!!!

  • Ken says:

    Who’s Ron Paul?

  • Jared says:

Hey, I love those stickers man! Those are the coolest! When my kid gets them, I always tell him I am gonna arm wrestle him for it. He runs like mad. HA!

  • moonlvr says:

    @Ken

Conservative churches in general preach that abortion is wrong. Catholics, Baptists, holy roller churches all preach it is murder.

  • Ken says:

“Conservative churches in general preach that abortion is wrong. Catholics, Baptists, holy roller churches all preach it is murder.”

And this somehow translates into hate speech?

  • Micky says:

    “Micky, I didn’t take that leap. ”

    Of course you did.
Your statement goes to the church being responsible for this. In that implication you are saying that Roeder maybe got his ideas from the church.
Either that or its you whos trying to dominate the conversation by bringing up a topic of irrelevance all on your own.

By the way , did you statement reflect anti religious feelings ? No, it didnt, did it ? Only a suggestion that some churches practice in hate speech, right ?
So please, your return with “moron” was uncalled for.

  • Ken says:

“Hey, I love those stickers man!”

Stickers?!?!?! We have the full blown plastic badges, man! Tell those cops to stop being so cheap and get some badges!!!!

Er, I guess this is the definition of “off topic”…..oh well.

  • moonlvr says:

    “Of course you did.”

No of course I did not. You jumped to conclusions that I meant the Lutheran church there. I did not say that moron. I said churches-plural. Learn to read ok? In fact, learn to talk and write and argue without all of the profanity. You are just a real creep.

  • Jared says:

    “full blown plastic badges”

    Nirvana. Damn.

  • LeeAnn says:

I dont think I have ever been at my church, and hearing that abortion was wrong. We just talk about what happened then in the bible and how it pertains to life today. Do we know why the man went in and killed the abortion doctor? Was there something that he did to the shooter? I wonder if there is more to the story then we know of right now.

I noticed when Ken said: “Earlier today a soldier was gunned down outside of a recruitment center, are marshals on their way to protect recruitment centers too? Are soldiers lives less important than abortion doctors?”

No one had anything to say on that one. Stopped them cold on that one badge boy!

  • lisab says:

the thing is, you pro-abotion people seem so freaked out about one attack by a psychotic who was off his meds

yet muslim terrorists who cut off heads you are fine with

  • Ken says:

It’s all part of the “blame America first” mentality of the left.

  • Micky says:

    Moonlvr.

I never said or implied that you were connecting Roeder to the Lutheran church. Its you who needs to learn how to read , put things together. Its called “context”.
If you took the intellectual initiative to place what I was saying in context with the paragraph that followed my initial response to you you’ll see that I as well was speaking of the church in America in general not being resposible for what Roeder did.
But as its become clear thru this conversation intellectual honesty is not one of your best attributes, is it ? And you worry about profanity ? yet with no example or proof to speak of you chose to slime and denegrate an entire group of people by your asinine assumptions and suggestions and aligning them with a group of genocidal/suicidal/homicidal maniacs ?

” A question for you good conservative people: If preaching hate and murder in Mosques is hate speech, what about preaching hate and murder about abortion in Churches? ”

Your statement in itself is suggestive that only conservative people who go to church should be able to answer this question or that we are somehow responsible by way of a preached hateful ideology for the actions of Roeder.
Tell me, why couldnt a liberal anti war church goer recieve suggestive material from the church that incited him to blow up recruitment centers ?
Are you beginning to see the idiocy of your question ?

“Learn to read ok? In fact, learn to talk and write and argue without all of the profanity. You are just a real creep.”

First of all, you’ve never heard me talk.
Why dont you learn to make an argument that doesnt reflect the talking points that come from every single rabid left wing blog out there without calling people names off the bat ?
You’re the one who really needs to learn to read and you’re not coming off like any real admirable guy yourself by calling me a moron when my reference was to a complete group of people. Which reminds me, you didnt answer my question, are you anti religion ?

    ——————————————————–
“If preaching hate and murder in Mosques is hate speech, what about preaching hate and murder about abortion in Churches? ”

Where the hell did you pull this out from ?

So far theres been no connection between Roeder and the Lutheran church this happened in.

    ——————————————————
I asked you a question and then went on to make a statement below that. Which was in full reference to the statement regarding the Lutheran church.
Show me where I said you were saying the Lutheran church gave him his marching orders ?
If you bothered to read the thread in full you’ll notice that I have been addressing an underlying theme by leftist loons that somehow religion and the church is what caused this man to shoot Tiller.

“No one had anything to say on that one. Stopped them cold on that one badge boy!”

    Yes LeeAnn.
We know weve won the debate when the moonbats start with all these pedantic little “off topics” and refuse to answer these simple questions.

  • Marsha says:

    lisab

‘the thing is, you pro-abotion people seem so freaked out about one attack by a psychotic who was off his meds

exactly. and that’s why i adore you.

  • Marsha says:

    Micky
‘We know weve won the debate when the moonbats start with all these pedantic little “off topics” and refuse to answer these simple questions.’

we haven’t won anything. Babies is this country are still being aborted and prolifers are still being blamed for nut jobs.

  • moonlvr says:

Micky why are you lying over this?

I know what I said and I know what you said. The words are there for anyone who really cares to read. You get caught in crap all the time. I’ve seen it. You copy what Ken or Ted say because unlike you, their stuff is at least original to the post and the moment. You pick fights to pick fights. You have no real cogent thought. You post the same comments on multiple blogs, you have admitted to that on a number of occasions. I’ll just remember not to address you anymore. You just aren’t very honest. I disagree with them in probably almost everything but at least they are honorable.

  • kate says:

ron paul fan — what an amazing leap to conclusions and everyone of them incredibly wrong.

jared — if you have a badge that says ‘blog monitor’ you got it off ebay because you know it wasn’t from me.

leeann — i noticed the story today about the soldier being senselessly gun down. that was a huge tragedy and a terrible loss. i think soldiers are inherently pretty darn precious. thanks for reminding us.

moonlver — christian churches do not preach to their congregations to go and kill people for gosh sakes! but then you knew that and wanted to just say that as a wedge.

    lisa — amen sistah!

    Marsha, please.
I was talking about the debate. Not the war itself.

If these guys would start answering questions and actually approaching the issues at hand we might stand a chance of having the occasional revelation that brings about some moral relevance in these baby killers.
    ————————————————————————-

“Micky why are you lying over this?

I know what I said and I know what you said.”

    Obviously not.
I even laid it out as simply as possible for you. I guess I was right about the intellectual dishonesty on your part. Or maybe your just not that bright.

“You get caught in crap all the time. I’ve seen it. ”

    Show me.

“You copy what Ken or Ted say because unlike you, their stuff is at least original to the post and the moment. ”

    Show me.

“You pick fights to pick fights.”

I did not. you came onto this thread making accusations of the church and conservatives as a whole.

“You have no real cogent thought. You post the same comments on multiple blogs,”
you have admitted to that on a number of occasions.”

Yea, so what ? Why should I not say the same thing on the same topic if its on a different blog. Should my opinions differ from blog to blog ?
Besides that, I mjust have something going for mr since you cant really argue a point other than your disagreement with me.
    Lame bro, really lame.

    Wise up.

” I’ll just remember not to address you anymore. ”

Only cuz I’ll wipe the floor with you and your asinine statements

    “You just aren’t very honest.”

    I proved you werent.

” I disagree with them in probably almost everything but at least they are honorable.”

    RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT !
As long as they’re not hateful murdering church going conservatives, right ?

    Pfft.

“…who died as bloody as he lived.”

JEEEZ. Such drama and such graphic language. Please. He was loved by a lot of people. He was a husband, father, grandfather. Shut up already.

  • Marsha says:

    “Marsha, please.
I was talking about the debate. Not the war itself.”

excuse me. I knew what you were referring to and I disagreed. lose the condesending attitude please.

    don’t forget murderer of children

  • lisab says:

the way the dem toadies are carrying on you would think he bottle fed lost kittens and helped foster children in the burn ward of a children’s hospital.

he may have been a husband, a father, and a grandfather …

    AND

he also cut up little babies into small pieces for money.

i am sure some gang members who sell meth to high school students are husbands, fathers, and grandfathers too. their family members may mourn the passing of their loved one, which is understandable. i otoh did not know him in life, would not have befriended him had i known him, and if anything — my only fear is for his immortal soul.

satan: ok now listen up everybody … you will all be here for a very long time, so you will all get to know each other very well … but for now we are going to separate you up into groups …

murderers and pillagers … if you could just stand over there by the brimstone on my right … and islamic terrorists if you could just join them please

adulterers, rapists and pedophiles … if you could just form a line over by that little guillotine …

the french? are the french here? if you wouldn’t mind just stepping over by the germans …

dr. tiller: excuse me … excuse me …

satan: yes yes what is it?

dr. tiller: i am a father, a husband and a grandfather

satan: hmmm … let me check the list … um … it says here you chopped up babies into little pieces?!

dr. tiller: but i adopted kittens too

satan: oh well that’s ok then off you go …

abraham: um … ok … you are fun at parties … next … uh oh …
dr. tiller: but i am a father, a husband and a grandfa …
abraham: yeah yeah yeah … save it …

“we haven’t won anything. Babies is this country are still being aborted and prolifers are still being blamed for nut jobs.”

Yes, but still, if we continue to win these debates we are that much closer to ending the killing.
So lets take our little battles and move on knowing that each success be it small like the little ones here on this blog or a huge one reversing RvW are all very impoortant in achieving the ultimate goal.
Look at it this way Marsha. For the first time in a long time polls are beginning to show that more than half of Americans are not in favor of abortion.
We must be doing something right.

  • Jared says:

“…if we continue to win these debates”

You’ve won what debates exactly? Cut the crap Micky. You personally win nothing, no arguments. You have changed no minds or hearts. What a laughable comment that was. HA!

  • Jared says:

Actually, if the truth would be told, I think Lisa B with her crack pipe absurdity schtick makes a hell of a lot more sense on the issues then your faux intimidation, bluster and anger. Even Ken with his links and dry sarcasm = at least he is straightforward in his conversations and I respect that and will at least read his stuff. You, not so much.

  • Micky says:

    Yeah right Jared.
Then why cant you drive home your silly assertion that the DHS report was accurate on this point in that its the religious right thats resposible for this guys murder ?
You never answered my question in response to that claim.

    Micky;
“So, Napolitano is mostly correct because of one incident since she wrote that crap ?”
Untill you can answer that with some verification, numbers, documentation, statistics, or otherwise….

    you lose.

The fact of the matter is that every prolife organization has already condemned what are the actions of one unbalanced indiidual and that you assertion does not reflect the sentiments of the majority of people in this country.
As I said above, of all the blogs I’ve participated in on this topic this is the only one so far that has patrons going to the “rabid right wing christians did it” conspiracy.

” I respect that and will at least read his stuff. You, not so much”

yet you find time to read it anyway and respond as you just have now and many times before.

Kansas has the death penalty. I wonder if you right to life people want Mr. Roedel to be executed?
