Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is the subject of the D.C. rumor mill since she made ill-timed, unfortunate comments about Minneapolis the other day. She was opining on nurse Alex Pretti’s death without actually thinking.
Shooting off her mouth without any intellectual ammunition. Now, the denizens of D.C. think she will get canned. Maybe.
Remember the other day when our matchless Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent said that Gavin Newsom was like “Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ken”? Well, I see Kristi Noem as “Puppy Killer meets Cowgirl Extensions Barbie”. Let her be beautiful. We will be happy for her. She just shouldn’t look like she is cosplaying a DHS Secretary. Take a “look at her gold watch in the featured photo. It screams “I am not a serious person.”. She should wear a black Casio watch for work. Secretary Noem also has no sense of humor about herself. South Park took a swing at Kristi Noem this week. Of course they did. That’s what they do. The long-running animated show has built its entire reputation on mocking every politician, celebrity, and cultural trend they can get their hands on. Nobody is off-limits.
When asked about the episode, Noem called it lazy that they chose to make fun of her appearance. To be fair, she has changed her looks drastically over the years, and not in ways that go unnoticed. While much of the internet is still swooning over Sweeney’s jeans, Noem has been branded “ICE Barbie” by her critics. That nickname didn’t come from nowhere.
But here’s the thing: getting roasted by South Park is not exactly a tragedy. In fact, in today’s political climate, it’s practically a sign you’ve made it.
Everyone gets knocked around. The politician and the street sweeper. But, if South Park dings you, you are made.
It’s her unfortunate comments about the even more unfortunate situation in Minneapolis that really get her goat.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has conceded she may have gotten some information wrong in her initial response to Border Patrol’s killing of Alex Pretti, the Minneapolis ICU nurse she labeled a domestic terrorist.
Noem also dodged questions about her leadership of DHS amid widespread outrage, even among some Republicans, about the deaths of Pretti and Renee Good during an aggressive immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis.
Noem, who said Pretti committed an “act of domestic terrorism” against immigration agents despite videos showing otherwise, told Fox News on Thursday that the situation immediately following the killing was “very chaotic,” and the details she presented to reporters came from initial reports from Customs and Border Protection agents in Minneapolis.
If things are “very chaotic” keep your piehole shut. Good advice for Hakeem Jefferies too.

Kristi Noem should keep her false eyelashes and hair extensions but bag the DHS cosplay wardrobe. Trump has enough problems without Noem piling on. This is serious work that she is doing. Biden/Harris/Mayorkas really made chicken hash out of our border security. Noem loves the West like I love Tennessee. I don’t want to be anywhere else. But, read the room, girl. This is the Trump show, not the Noem show.
Our girl Tulsi Gabbard doesn’t make everything about her. She’s in the Army, too, along with being the Director of National Intelligence. She doesn’t comment on everything and Noem shouldn’t either. Let the investigation into Alex Pretti play out and keep your yap shut.

he Left always jumps the gun on this stuff. They’ve called the Renee Good shooting on January 7, where she was shot and killed after ramming an ICE agent with her car, a murder. They claimed Alex Pretti’s death on January 24 was an execution. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem portrayed Pretti as a domestic terrorist who brought a gun, intending to essentially commit a mass casualty event. That’s not entirely true, and in these situations, you cannot go off half-cocked.
We don’t know enough of Alex Pretti to claim he was a Domestic Terrorist. Senator Susan Collins is still standing by Kristi Noem.
Well, actually Collins went all ways with that.
Noem does not need to be fired. She just needs to slow her roll a lot. AND, put her ammo away for now.

Wfjag says: Sec Noem is letting the people who work for her, and because of the rhetoric of Dem leaders, they and their families are facing unconscionable harassment and dangers, that she has their backs. Given the spineless bureaucrats who populate much of the DC establishment, that’s a refreshing change.
Unlike the DNI, who because of her military training and experience and so knows to treat first reports with caution, Sec Noem’s background is ranching and a small rural state’s politics. Unlike the current atmosphere in national politics, those are not blood sport arenas. She should learn to be a little more circumspect when awaiting confirmation, and develop a tougher skin. However, whatever the facts are proven to be, many in the [fact] free press will continue to parrot the most vicious statements by certain Dem leaders.

Lloyd says: Noem has a tough job…which I think she is doing well, despite being under constant attack from the left. They call her names…question her looks…and never, never agree with her performance. I hope Trump continues to appreciate her and stands behind her against the lefty Dems.
