There is a great deal of piling on Police Chief Teresa Theetge after the Cincinnati Fights last weekend. All of the piling on is well-deserved and she isn’t the only one beclowning herself. A bright light needs to shine on the city to expose the rot papered over by the city leadership.
I have lived in Knoxville for the last 20+ years and, before that, many other places, but I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and the city has much to recommend it. Not the least of which, the Symphony and the Cincinnati Zoo are world class. Like any city, there are and have been problems that need to be addressed in the Queen City. Education, poverty and crime are consistent and persistent city problems. Oftentimes the city leaders, from the Mayor, to the Police Chief to city council and the pastoral leaders exploit these problems for their own power.
The Cincinnati Fights a week ago have exposed all of these problems. When I first wrote about the Cincinnati Fights, Police Chief Teresa Theetge was blaming them on press and social media. A fish rots from the head down and now we know that the leadership of the Department is rotten. Miss Theetge is being called out for her own discrimination. According to the New York Post:
Embattled Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge was being sued by four high-ranking officers claiming she discriminated against white lieutenants while doling out promotions and assignments using a “race-based quota system.”
The lawsuit, filed in May, resurfaced as Theetge faces scrutiny amid her department’s investigation into the high-profile vicious street beatdown of a defenseless white woman in the Ohio city last weekend.
Capt. Robert Wilson and Lieutenants Patrick Caton, Gerald Hodges and Andrew Mitchell claimed in the suit that the police chief bypassed them for positions they deserved — and instead gave minority and female lieutenants preferential treatment, Newsweek reported.
“These assignments, which offer significant professional and financial benefits, have been disproportionately awarded to non-white and/or female officers, often disregarding merit, qualifications, or legitimate business needs,” the lawsuit claimed, local Fox19 reported.
That kind of ideological pandering will cause dissension in the ranks. More:
Theetge was allegedly “personally involved in the assignment decisions” and used a “race-based quota system” to promote minorities and women to career-enhancing positions, the suit states.
Coveted “preferred-assignments” were doled out to 79% of minority lieutenants and 89% of female lieutenants in 2023 — but just 44% of white male Lieutenants were given the assignment, the lawsuit claimed.
The officers are seeking compensatory damages, punitive damages, and injunctive relief in the ongoing civil case that names Theetge and the city of Cincinnati as defendants.
I don’t know about her policies on promotions, but in this clip she sounds like a elementary school principal scolding second graders for a fracas in the multi-purpose room at lunch.
he says there’s “no room for politics in law-enforcement” yet politics got her hired.
Make it make sense.

Theetge has no command stance or voice. Send her to the elementary school. It may seems like this is all piling on, but she is not up to the job of being Chief of Police. Speaking of not being up to the job, let’s talk about Aftab Pureval. Yes, that’s his name and apparently it is not pronounced like Pure Evil. He is the Mayor of Cincinnati, currently and is not fit for that job.
Mayor Pureval was in Canada on vacation last Saturday when the Cincinnati fights occurred. He chose not to end his vacation early. His city was imploding but he wasn’t going to let it curdle his milk. From Fox News:
His reasoning for the vacation was that his 5-year-old son would be starting kindergarten and city council sessions resume next week after a monthlong recess, and it would be the last opportunity to go on a family vacation.
“This was a long-planned family trip and celebration for my son,” the mayor told The Enquirer. “I take my role as mayor very seriously, but I also take my role as a husband and father seriously as well.”
The day before the vicious assault took place, Pureval had returned from Cleveland where he spoke at the Democratic Mayors Association Summit.
Even worse.
Finally, there are allegations that the N-word was used. By whom and when? Is that any reason for mob brawl?
The violence was disgusting. The mobs were disgusting. This YouTuber is correct, everything is an excuse to fight. Only animals participate in mob violence.
Holly, the victim of the mob violence, cold-cocked by an a$$, says thank you.
After her brutal attack, Holly speaks out.
I am can’t even imagine the depths of her despair. ❤️

Spot on Toni. The only good part of the story is that Holly is able to speak out..the way her head hit the ground, I wouldn’t have bet on her doing so well.
Animals.like that need to be locked up, or put down.. they are not capable.of.living in a civilized society.
Finally, there are allegations that the N-word was used.
Ah yes. The Wakandan Holy Word. Capable of rendering people into gibbering angry messes.
