I totally recognize the featured photo isn’t really fashion. It is STYLE. Our first millennial Vice President. Our first U.S. Marine Vice President. John Phillip Sousa wrote “Semper Fidelis” because he knew that someday a Marine Vice President would need his own theme song. His wife is looking at him, not as a doe-eyed innocent, with a snap and sparkle. Their daughter, Mirabel, has part of her hand in her mouth, Trump looks proud and Vance’s Mom just off screen cannot believe how her life as evolved.

Let’s talk about Usha Vance’s pink suit. In the Hindu faith, according to Asia Highlights:

Pink is a favorite color for girls and women, and it is seen as the most attractive and energetic color.

Pink fits the playful atmosphere of Holi the most. Feminine pink is an innocent, cheerful color that symbolizes youth, good health, and playfulness. It is believed to bring more joy, fun, and energy to Holi celebrations.

Remoulade Sauce credits this pink ensemble to Oscar de la Renta with Manola Blahnik boots. It’s fabulous. She does the British Royal Family fashion notes so I will go with her.

De la Renta also did Usha’s strapless gown for the Candlelight Supper that Trump held the night before Inauguration Day. According to BizPakReview:

Kennedy, Jr. and his wife Cheryl Hines are fashionable and hands on. The back of Ivanka’s 3-D gown, as she speaks with Elon Musk, is A-maz-Zing! I am not a fan of anything Bezos’ fiancee Lauren Sanchez wears. Ugh. The video cuts off just as President and Mrs. Trump enter.

We thought Melania Trump looked fabulous today. Jake Tapper not so much:

Jake Tapper is in for a rough four years.

We know you know that but his behavior is already appalling and Trump hasn’t even gotten inaugurated yet. And of course, he doesn’t have the cojones to go after the man himself so he goes full Mean Girls on Melania.

In 2017, Melania wore Ralph Lauren. For 2025, she went with Adam Lippes who worked his craft for Lauren before going out on his own:
