Los Angeles is burning after a fast-moving brush fire erupted yesterday, forcing evacuations.

The City of Los Angeles declared a state of emergency over the massive fire.

Traffic was backed up for miles along Sunset Boulevard as residents tried to flee the Pacific Palisades, an affluent coastal neighborhood west of downtown Los Angeles that is home to some 24,000 people and many celebrities. Gusts of up to 100 miles per hour, the strongest Southern California has experienced in more than a decade, were forecast through lunchtime Wednesday.”–The New York Times

Don’t worry, Californians. Hair Gel Gavin just got off the phone with Joe and Jill Biden who are kicking it in SoCal (they postponed their event) and Joe says he will give homeowners whatever help they need to rebuild. How much will that be, exactly?

We are less than two weeks from Inauguration Day. Don’t you just find it simply precious that the Bidens are offering “help” at this juncture? Joe Biden will go down as a “productive” president in these last few weeks. Terrorists are getting sprung from GITMO and now this. Priceless. Though, we know it all comes with a price.

Our prayers go up and out to those who are living in the crazy state that is California right now. We do hope folks heed the warnings and evacuate. We also do hope most can rebuild. The celebrities and the executives and the Hollywood types will rebuild and be just fine. And, they will go on to endorse and vote for more ridiculous policies and ineffective leaders like Bass and Newsom, while the person who worked his whole life loses everything. Enter actor, Mark “Be A Man, Vote For a Woman” Hamill, who had to evacuate his home. The poor soul.
