After 40+ years of the Left’s capture of America’s institutions, the normies are pushing back. And the Woke will have none of it, even as it means normalizing violence as a strategy to holding onto power.

We saw the Left’s imposed two-tier legal system clearly exposed in its approach to the mostly peaceful protests of 2020 where almost no one has ever been held responsible for the death and destruction across the nation and any follow-up investigation was dropped. Compared to the J6 Fedsurrection where more than two years after the incident, arrests are still being made.

And is there a better contrast of the moral inversion of the Woke than the contrast between the reactions engendered by Daniel Penny and Luigi Mangione?

It feels like an inflection point: The acquittal of Daniel Penny happened on the same day as the arrest of the accused murderer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Penny being found not guilty is a repudiation of the anarcho-tyranny the left has been imposing since the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020. Despite last-minute shenanigans from the prosecution, the jury understood that Penny’s restraint of a violent, threatening felon on the subway was justified. The verdict is an indication that people, even in liberal New York City, have had enough of rioting, defunding the police, and soft-on-crime prosecutors who let criminals walk while locking up those who dare to defend themselves and others.

But as the public sours on woke leftism in general, and its approach to crime and public safety in particular, committed leftists may respond by becoming more radical and violent. Just look at the left’s glee at the murder of Thompson.

It wasn’t just the anonymous Woke posters on social media expressing joy along with encouraging moar please, but an alleged journalist along with at least one Congresscritter on record.

Meanwhile, Daniel Penny’s acquittal is frothing up the usual Woke suspects from BLM street thugs to melaninated “lawmakers”.

“Jordan Neely was unarmed. He needed support and care,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, argued. “Instead, he received a death sentence. His family grieves while the man who took his life walks free.”

“This is more than a miscarriage of justice – it is a green light for more violence against unarmed Black Americans,” she added.

It should be noted that it appears Ms. Crockett grew up rather privileged, attending private schools and college. She is one of those cosseted Leftists who, unlike Penny and the middle/lower class residents of NYC, have to ride the NY subway on a daily basis. A system that has regularly seen the likes of the late and unlamented Neely prey on the elderly, women, and children, unchecked by a legal system that is more concerned with the “rights” of the criminal class than the citizens that are, too often, their victims.

Of course, us normies are getting fed up with these unconscionable attacks on Daniel Penny.

Meanwhile, Mangione is drawing fan adoration for the cold-blooded murder — by shooting the man in the back — is off the charts.

Well, yes, these are the same Woke reprobates who expressed regrets when the attempts to assassinate President-elect Trump failed. And now Mangione is inspiring calls for more.
