If you have read the Victory Girls Blog in the last couple years, you will have heard Tiffany Henyard. Mayor of Dolton, Illinois and Supervisor of Thornton Township, Miss Tiffany has earned herself the appellation of America’s Worst Mayor for her Marie Antoinette shenanigans. She is about to lose one of her jobs since the Thornton Democrat Caucus has booted her off the ballot for Thornton Township Supervisor. Quel dommage!

Bad politicians come from both parties and every level of government. Henyard is so bad at being mayor that Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (who lost reelection) was called into audit and investigate Miss Tiffany’s expenses. Lightfoot’s investigate found that Miss Tiff used Dolton, Illinois as her personal bank. As our Deanna wrote at the time:

While national elections absolutely do matter (consider the chaos that Biden’s foreign policy has created), it is also true that local corruption can ruin your life a whole lot faster, because unless you move, you can’t get away from it. The people of Dolton and Thornton Township are now looking at crippling budget deficits, thanks to one woman, that will affect them for years to come. You think they might pay more attention to who gets elected next time? I certainly hope so.

Looks like Thornton has taken that to heart:

The Democratic Party Caucus voted against Henyard’s nomination because she did not have a full slate of leaders, including highway director, clerk, assessor, and four trustees, on her ticket. She did not have a certified accessor, so the caucus moved not to grant her the nomination.

This was the first time in 30 years that a caucus was used in Thornton Township to determine who would be on the ballot.

People cheered following the vote to deny Henyard access to the April ballot. She has served in the position of township supervisor since 2022, and her tenure has caused many problems, as she has been accused of abusing the township’s funds.

She serves as the mayor of Dolton, and an audit by former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot reviewed that under Henyard’s leadership, the village’s credit cards paid for nine domestic trips, $43,000 spent on Amazon in one day, $8,000 of purchases at Wayfair, and $2,000 spent at Best Buy.

In lieu of Henyard, the caucus selected Illinois state Sen. Napoleon Harris to be the Democratic nominee.

Mayor Henyard is already pitching eight kinds of fits. She can’t complain it is racism because Senator Harris is Black, too. It was a raucous caucus:

If Senator Harris is victorious as County Supervisor, his salary will only be $25,000 as opposed to the $224,000 Supervisor Henyard Rakes in. Miss Tiff isn’t going quietly. NaNaNaNa:

Dolton, Illinois, it is now your serve. At every level the people need to take back their communities from the Grifting Grifters. It’s unconscionable that Tiffany held on as long as she did and used the citizens as badly as she did.
