Oh, what evils that family has wrought! Tiffany Henyard is the Mayor of Dolton, Illinois. She is spoiled, entitled and runs the city for her benefit only. One would think that she is auditioning to be another Kardashian. Stylists, make-up artists and music videos, as Kim K. is my witness. Sad news for her: that family is full up and breeding their own next generation. Miss Tiffany needs to grow up and get real, before the town’s six police cars get repossessed .

Many people on social media are comparing Tiffany Henyard’s reign of privilege over small town Dolton to the satire comedy Parks & Recreation. I disagree. For this level of entitlement can ONLY be found in the Kardashian family. I have never seen their shows, but I am a rabid consumer of Page Six, so I am steeped in the Kardashian mystique.

Miss Tiffany was elected Mayor of Dolton in 2021 with 82% of the vote and she is also Supervisor of Thorton Township. Henyard has always been “civic minded”.

“I got into politics when I started working for Pat Quinn’s campaign,” Henyard said, referring to her time supporting the former governor of Illinois with his employment initiative ‘Put Illinois to Work’ in 2011. Shortly after, she was elected as the town’s trustee, a position similar to that of a city council member.

This eventually led her on the path to running for mayor in 2020, a position she was a bit shocked to have actually clenched, but one she knew she was ready for. Not only did she edge out the competition, Henyard won by a landslide with 82% of the vote–clearly indicative of the residents’ desire for change.

She was “shocked” but her sense of entitlement soon took over:

The mayor, who on Instagram describes herself as “the most powerful woman in the Southland of Chicago,” travels with a police detail, has thrown up billboards and signs around town with her photo, and regularly shoots fun YouTube videos, including a music video featuring herself and Dolton city employees.

But the self-proclaimed “super mayor” is also garnering attention from social media, online forums and local news outlets for her alleged misdeeds. Henyard has been sued for fraud, accused of misusing public funds, and criticized for flaunting the law and frivolous spending, in general. Just before Christmas, TikTok videos of the local lawmaker popped up discussing her latest controversy—a salary ordinance.

Henyard got a measure through the Thornton Township board that would reduce the salary of her potential successor in the event she loses her bid for reelection next year. Henyard, who makes $224,000 a year as township supervisor, drafted legislation that would cut her successor’s salary to just $25,000. If Henyard stays in office, her salary stays the same.

The town’s residents are getting the short end of all the sticks:

But the village is now $5 million in the hole over the past two years, according to trustee Jason House.

The resulting budget cuts have been blamed for water main breaks, and for the lack of a police presence when four people were shot and injured last week.

“It’s unfortunate that politics are being played,” Police Chief Lewis Lacey said. “What’s happening is a million dollars out of my budget have been cut because of politics.”

Dolton trustee Brittney Norwood was more direct, telling Henyard at the meeting, “We’re not saying police aren’t doing a good job. We’re saying you’re assigning all of them to be with you when they should be out here protecting the residents so we can all feel safe,” according to WGN9.

Miss Tiffany is living her best Kardashian life. Let’s just hope those police cars don’t get repo’d.

Financial turmoil continued to unfold in south suburban Dolton Thursday after a bank said the village failed to make a payment worth tens of thousands of dollars, which may result in police cruisers and other public works vehicles being repossessed.

According to a letter dated Feb. 14, 2024, representatives from KS StateBank are threatening to take possession of more than a dozen village vehicles, which includes six police cruisers, after the village failed to make a payment of more than $76,000 on the vehicles’ loan some nine months ago.

The town is $5 million and the cop cars are about to get repo’d. I bet Kim K. doesn’t have problems like this.
