According to reports, and the U.N. with their shorts in a knot, several Israeli soldiers had the audacity to go into a West Bank mosque and desecrate it.
Israel has suspended a group of its soldiers after video emerged of Israeli troops reading out Jewish prayers at a mosque in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
In video circulating on social media on Thursday, soldiers are seen inside the mosque, with one using a microphone to read a Jewish prayer in the style of an Islamic call to prayer.
A song about banishing darkness, associated with the current Jewish festival of Hanukkah, is heard sung in Hebrew through a loudspeaker in a minaret.
I’ve read through multiple reports and, other than soldiers reading a Jewish prayer and failing to take off their boots, I can’t find actual reports or video of desecration that would involve graffiti, looting, or burning the place down.
Furthermore, it’s been very well documented that Hamas has used schools, hospitals, and their mosques as staging grounds for their troops, and munitions. Therefore, it’s absolutely ludicrous to think that soldiers looking for the enemy would take a few minutes to carefully take off their boots before working to clear the site. According to the UN, this wasn’t decent.
“The desecration of religious sites should not be tolerated and is against common decency, to say the least,” Stephane Dujarric, a spokesman for the UN secretary-general, told reporters on Thursday.
He stressed that religious sites need to “be respected and cannot be perverted in one way or another.”
Let’s step back and review that statement. With the UN, far too many in the US and others around the world, Israel must be super cautious and careful about how they defend themselves against Hamas while also trying to track Hamas into Gaza and the West Bank.
These are the very same people who have hardly or very reluctantly spoken about the outright destruction of the kibbutzim that were brutally attacked on October 7. Many survivors still can’t go to their homes because of the sheer amount of destruction the Hamas terrorists and Gaza civilians wrought in those enclaves.
Israelis are afraid. So much so that vast numbers of them are applying for and purchasing guns. Prior to October 7, around 150,000 were private gun owners. That number, since October 7, is 44,000 Israeli’s receiving “conditional approval,” and at least another 26,000 applications. That’s just since that fateful day.
Others, who were attacked, are grappling with fear for themselves and within their families. Especially after spending hours barricaded in their safe room while Gaza citizens helped themselves to food and watched Netflix while sporadically shooting at the safe room door.
Natali and her family learned the hard way that very few Palestinians are their friends. Yet, Israel is supposed to tread lightly when going after Hamas terrorists while staying out of mosques because their mere presence is a desecration??
Natali asks in the interview if they are safe where they are staying near the Jordan border. Well, at the moment, I’d say the answer is NO.

Who knows how many terror attacks were foiled by this arrest? I shudder to think. While the UN and others lecture Israeli soldiers about supposedly desecrating a West Bank mosque with their mere presence, Hamas terrorists are on record just two days ago threatening violence against Americans, EVERYWHERE.
Speaking on Memri, Zuhri said: “When Blinken is justifying the killing of women and children, the sons of our nation should say to him: ‘You are the enemy, just like Netanyahu, and you must pay the price, just like Netanyahu.
“’We should keep this in mind. So if our nation thinks that the heroic acts of the Al-Qassam Brigades release it from its responsibility that is a misconception and a mistaken assessment that should be discarded.’”
Zuhri added: “Now it is our nation’s turn to pressure the Americans to stop this war. We need violent acts against American and British interests everywhere as well as the interests of all the countries that support the occupation.
It is 100% certain that Hamas means everywhere, which includes churches and synagogues. Will there be any lectures or scolding for THEIR desecration of homes, synagogues, menorah’s, and taking innocents hostage? Nope, the criticism only goes one way.
There are quite a number of people who are starting to understand the dangers of coddling terrorism and tying the hands of Israel after the October 7 attacks.
Please watch if you don't understand Israel's response. After seeing footage of the massacre of October 7, Chris Cuomo has an epiphany.

“A decision was made that Jews are less than human….” And yet we are supposed to care that Israeli soldiers said a PRAYER and kept their boots on while clearing a Hamas-supported mosque??!! Guess what?
I do not care.
Hamas started this war and there is zero time to worry about hurt feelings or deal with asinine lectures when trying to track down those who not only brutally attacked, raped, and murdered Jews, destroyed homes, and are holding innocents including children hostage.
Hamas and the UN can take their faux outrage and shove it.

religious sites need to “be respected and cannot be perverted in one way or another.”
You mean, like the Temple Mount?
But, honestly, they are right, sorta. The IDF should have simply blown the place up and removed it from the face of the earth.
Religious sites, especially in (but not exclusive to) Islam, have often been built upon pre-existing religious sites of the previous inhabitants. Hell, the Ottomans built a mosque in the Parthenon.
I don’t know which mosque they said this prayer in, but there’s a strong chance it used to be a temple.
Spot on GWB! It’s sad that the IDF is giving the slightest bit of credence to these complaints and taken action against those involved…
The title of the post definitely piqued my interest, but to read that the “desecration” was to wear their boots and read a Jewish prayer made me laugh, and think that the IDF should have told all involved to F off…
“religious sites need to “be respected and cannot be perverted in one way or another.”
I’m no religious scholar, but I’m thinking that using mosques as a weapons or ammo dump, a staging area, operations cell, or other militant type use would be a “perversion” of a religious site. But, since the intent of these islamists is to kill the infidel Jew, they don’t view it that way. Give these a IDF Soldiers a stern talking to and move on.
Agreed SFC.. seems to me that whenever the IDF finds such a cache, they should document it well via photo and video, and then, being cautious about boobytraps, blow the whole thing in place…
“A decision was made that Jews are less than human and treated that way in words and deeds.”
Now where has that been heard before? Wannsee Conference 1942 and so on. Pity the trendy apologists marching in the streets on behalf of Hamas never learned history.
Considering the conditions of world heritage sites in places infested by Muslims, my sympathy-meter is reading (lemme check it again…) Zero. Sweet Fannie Adams.
I’ve watched news stories that show what happens when Muslims get to Christian and Jewish holy sites. So I don’t really care about the Muslims’ hurt feelings over this.
Or even Buddhist sites like the one the muzzies destroyed in the Stan..
Jenin is not occupied by Israel but by Hamas.
