FBI Director Christopher Wray warns that the United States is in a dangerous period. He’s blaming the war between Israel and Hamas. And that various terrorist groups will use this to their own advantage.
We’ve been living for years now without serious threats to the United States. And the FBI had new walking orders taking down parents who voiced their concerns at school board meetings. Oh, and those pesky Catholics. They had to keep an eye on them, too.
The threat of international terrorism in the U.S. had largely subsided in recent years, particularly since the defeat of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. But senior American officials say Hamas’ deadly Oct. 7 attack on Israel has created a new dynamic with dangerous implications at home and abroad. – NPR
Wray gave alarming testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Tuesday.
NEW: FBI Director Christopher Wray suggests that Hamas may launch terror attacks on American soil as their war with Israel intensifies.
Gee, if only someone tried securing the border a few years ago.

Taliban, ISIS, Hizballah, Al-Qa’ida, HAMAS are just a few of the terrorist groups out there. You can do a Google search to find all the rest if you wish. It’s a lot.
On the home front, Wray said the biggest concern for the FBI is that violent extremists — including people inspired by foreign terrorist groups but also domestic violent extremists — will draw inspiration from the ongoing conflict to carry out attacks against Americans. – NPR
I get the feeling that someone is trying to blame Israel for all of the new/old threats. Terrorist groups threatening the United States aren’t new. But the boldness of it now, the in-your-face of it, and some of it from our own people is new.
The rioting on college campuses is threatening. The rioting in major cities with Palestinian flags proudly flown is threatening.
And now, low and behold, Mayorkas says they’ll build the wall. Who knows how many terrorist conclaves and sects have come across our border since China Joe has been in office.
Yes, be vigilant, Wray says. He reminds us of back in the day when we had “If you see something, say something” and when people were all still ramped up in the months just after 9/11.
I have two thoughts about this. On one hand, being vigilant is good, yes. But it also reminds me of COVID times when people were turning on one another and pointing out people not wearing masks and calling the police on restaurant owners who didn’t have the recommended CDC protocols installed. And yes, I also think about history when people turned on one another by being informants for the Gestapo.
Seems chaotic, doesn’t it? And maybe that is what everyone wants. Keep the people confused and scared. You all know what happens after that.
The America First Policy Institute put out an issue brief about how open borders leave us more vulnerable to terrorism. I mean, it’s common sense that if we have who knows what flooding over our borders, yes, we will be vulnerable.
Things are moving at a rapid pace. But, we should hold on to hope and stay steady in faith. While it seems like chaos, we all know it is blatant and programmed chaos, and we can discern what is good and evil. It’s easy to tell the difference because the supporters of terrorism show us who they are these days. They do it with confidence and with no concern of being punished. But for how long?
Yes, be vigilant indeed.

The US is in a dangerous period, absolutely.
But it’s because of the Progressive control of our gov’t, schooling, and culture. They are the ones making our country more dangerous – not just with policies (like the border), but with their ideas and their morals.
The way to eliminate threats to our country is to eliminate Progresivism from our gov’t and society.
